246,887. Lockyer, E. G. F. June 15, 1925. Resistance ovens.-A portable apparatus for heating food or keeping it hot comprises an internally lagged sheet metal casing 1 having a hinged or removable lid 3 and a handle 3<x>, supports 9 at the lower part for carrying a plurality of superposed pans 8, and an electric heating element or elements 6 at the bottom of the casing connected to a plug coupling 14 on the outside thereof. The case 1 may be provided with an inner sheet metal lining. A perforated shield 7 is fitted over the heating elements.
