Abstract
348,369. Electric cooking-ovens. SOLOMON, M. and DAVIS, C. E., Magnet House, Kingsway, London. May 7, 1930, No. 13996. [Class 39 (iii).] An electric cooking oven of the type having heating elements 4 arranged at its sides opposite the cooking space and between an inner and an outer shell 2, 1, the inner shell 2 being provided with horizontal slots 5, 6, 7 opposite these elements, is provided with baffleplates 9, 10 and a guard 11 adapted to direct the heat from the elements downwardly, in the case of the baffles 9, 10, and both upwardly and downwardly in the case of the guard 11. Three shelves 13 are arranged opposite the slots 5, 6, 7 so that their edges are shielded from direct heat by the baffles 9, 10 and guard 11 and bulges 12 are provided in the inner shell 2 to direct the heat into the oven. The baffles and guard are pressed out from the sides of the inner shell and are formed simultaneously with the slots 5, 6, 7, the bulges 12 being also pressed from the sides of the inner shell.
