Abstract

Resistance ovens.-An oven comprises an inner open-fronted removable shell a, an external concentric shell or shells b, e provided with heat insulation, and a resistance wire c supported so as to be floating as nearly as possible in air and arranged between the shells a, b. The shells may be of circular form. The shell a which constitutes the oven proper may be replaced by two rectangular ovens side by side. In Fig. 2 the shell a is provided with insulated strips e' which support the resistance wire, and slots e' or perforations are arranged in the walls of the shell.
