Abstract
643,560. Cooking-ovens. T R I C I T Y COOKERS, Ltd. July 16, 1948, No. 19173. [Class 126] An electrically heated oven has a sheet metal inner shell with perforated sides surrounded by an aluminium sheet outer shell, an air space being formed between the shells. Heating elements 6 are located in the base of an oven comprising an inner shell with side perforations 17 formed from panels 11A-E surrounded by an outer shell composed of panels 13, an air space C being formed between the two shells. External sheet steel sides 10 are provided, that on one side having an inwardly directed flange for abutment against a front panel (not shown) which carries switch gear and a plug socket. An oven cover 14 in which heating devices 6A are arranged, is so made that water &c. is prevented from reaching the inside of the cooker. An oven door (not shown) comprising an outer panel, an inner panel and a dividing panel is hinged about the base and may be used when open as a support for articles to be placed in or removed from the oven. A hot cupboard 19 with a similar door is provided beneath the oven from which it is separated by a horizontal partition 20.
