[Class 126] A baffle plate h extending upwardly from the angle-iron p supporting the lower shelf of a hot-cupboard is provided with a -horizontal extension h<SP>1</SP> at the top to direct the hot air or gases from a gas burner or other heating device k beneath the top cover e on which articles to be heated or kept warm are placed. The shelf f may consist of two plates separated by an air space or may carry an asbestos sheet o to prevent overheating. The top cover, which may be hinged or removably secured, may be provided with one or more wells to contain hot water or to act as carving wells or with openings for the insertion of cooking vessels. A plate beneath the burner k limits the flow of air. The back and side walls may be lined with insulating material and the front may be fitted with sliddng, lift-out, fall-down or roller shutter doors c. An ignition aperture l may be provided at the front.
