527,388. Oil heating-stoves. FALKIRK IRON CO., Ltd., KENNARD, H. J.. and GRAFTON, R. F. O. April 11, 1939, No. 10923. [Class 126] In an oil burning heater or like apparatus vaporized fuel passes from an oil vaporizer 14 fitted in a housing 13 into a combustion zone A at the base of a heat emitting chamber 10 and thence in the form of combustion products through incombustible heat exchange elements B supported on a grate 17 within the chamber 10 to an outlet 18, the elements B becoming incandescent. The vaporizer may be vertically adjustable to vary the passage of secondary air between it and the edge 12 of the flame throat, primary air passing through openings (not shown) in the vaporizer, and both primary and secondary air entering the housing through an opening 16 in hinged doors 15. The elements B may be hollow cagelike bodies of fireclay. The chamber 10 may be lined with firebrick.
