524,336. Refuse consuming. FABRIQUE LAUSANNOISE D'APPAREILS DE CHAUFFAGE G. WEBER SOC. ANON. Jan. 27, 1939, Nos. 2883 and 2884. Convention dates, Jan. 27, 1938 and Feb. 22, 1938. [Class 126] [Also in Group XII] A furnace or stove for the destruction of refuse of the kind comprising a combustion chamber closed at its upper end and having a grate formed of pivotal sections with an ash receptacle beneath, igniting means within the chamber and a flue for conveying the gases from the chamber, the combustion chamber 13, Figs. 1 and 3, has walls 2, 3 between which is arranged a corrugated plate 4 to, provide vertical hot air passages communicating with the atmosphere through holes in the bottom plate 6 of the furnace or stove and with the combustion chamber through openings 21. Heat insulating material is arranged between the plates 2 and 4. The refuse is fed through a door 11, ignited by a gas burner 18 or by an electrically heated element. Combustion products escape through the flue 17. Fig. 8 shows a modification in which ignition may be effected by an oil burner mounted in the cover plate 11 and supplied with air from the openings 21 in the casing. Oil flows through a pipe 28 to nozzles 23 and over adjustable discs 24 arranged within a vertical tube 27. U.S.A. Specification 2,010,460 is referred to.
