Abstract
354,153. Gas heating-stoves. RUTTEN, J., 77, Neuhuyskade, The Hague. Jan. 2, 1931, No. 243. [Class 126.] Air supply for combustion.-In a gas heating stove of the type in which conduits supplying air for combustion and carrying away combustion products pass from a closed chamber containing the burner to the atmosphere, primary and secondary air are supplied to the burner from two separate spaces. In the stove shown, the burner e passes through a partition f, primary air being supplied below the partition by a tube c, and secondary air above it by a tube d. The waste gases pass away by a flue b discharging in proximity to the air inlet openings. Partitions g are arranged between the ends of the pipes b, c, d. The use of the two air supply spaces prevents extinction of the flame under adverse weather conditions. In a modification, a small pressure-equalizing gap is left in the partition f around the burner, and the outlet flue b is not carried downwards.
