473,417. Consuming smoke. GABRIEL, H., and HAGE, G. May 6, 1937, No. 12961. [Class 51 (i)] Smoke from a furnace 2 passes through a baffled heat-accumulating flue 8 and enters laterally a vertical pipe 10 where it is consumed by the flame from a burner 11 arranged at the bottom of the pipe and supplied with gas by a pipe 14 and air by a pipe 17 leading from a blower 18 which also delivers air through a pipe 21 to the ashpit 22. The gases from the pipe 10 pass through a boiler flue 10<1> to the chimney.
