197,543. Marwood, F. T. May 16, 1922. Gas cooking-stoves- In gas cooking-stoves of the type in which a burner is disposed between two ovens, or between an oven and a boiler, a central burner situated over an air inlet aperture in the outer casing is arranged so that gas jets issue beneath each oven, whilst others are directed vertically between them, an even distribution of heat being thus obtained. The stove shown comprises ovens B, B heated by a burner A arranged over an air-inlet c and having horizontal and vertical jets of which some, a<2>, may be higher than the remainder so as to heat vessels placed over openings on the hotplate. The branches are connected to the mixing- tube by a V-piece to ensure an equal supply of mixture to each. The gases circulate round the ovens as shown in Fig. 2, and leave by openings c<2> at the top of the side walls. A gas ring and grilling attachment may be mounted at one corner, of the hot-plate, or may project from one end of the stove. A closed air jacket space is left between the backs of the ovens and the outer casing of the stove.
