Gas cooking-stoves; ovens; hot plates; plateracks.-A gas cooking-stove, of the kind in which the gases from a burner located in an external flue pass around the oven and also circulate within it, through apertures in the walls, comprises a tubular burner d arranged in the flue at one bottom corner of the oven and having jets directed up the side flue and along the bottom flue, together with slots e, f elongated in the direction of flow and formed in the side and bottom walls of the oven at points remote from the burner, and vents h at the upper edge diagonally opposite to the burner. The gases in part enter the oven through the slots e, f, and leave it through the vents h, the whole of the gases leaving the stove through vents i in the outer casing. A deflector g diverts the gases through the slots e. The top of the stove forms a hotplate, which may be extended at each side bv a plate r carried on angle brackets s engaging sockets t. One of these plates is heated by the waste gases vented beneath it, and the other is preferably provided with a gas-ring v. A grilling- grid l is provided above the horizontal burner flames, beneath which is f ormed a grilling- chamber m. The right-hand portion of the bottom flue is partitioned off to form a plate-warming chamber o. A plate-rack wand a back-plate a are supported by U-shaped angle-bars x, one limb of which rests on the hot-plate.
