Gas cooking-stoves; ovens; hot-plates; linings; doors; boilers, arrangement of.-A gas cooking-stove comprises an horizontal flue below the topplate, a vertical flue adjacent the oven and leading from the horizontal flue to the chimney, a water-tank in the vertical flue, and burners, with adjustable air-inlets, in the horizontal flue and below the oven, the gases from both burners circulating under the top-plate and around the boiler. In the stove shown the gases from the hotplate burner 20 pass along the horizontal flue formed between the hot-plate and the oven top 17, down the side oven flue containing a water-tank 14a, and thence to the outlet 13. The lower ends of the side walls 3. 4 of the oven are bent as shown in Fig. 1 to form a partition extending across the casing, the ends being again bent to form a channel 5 containing the tubular oven burner 31. Sheetmetal members 8, 9 complete the closure of the bottom of the casing. Sliding dampers 6, 10 in the bottom of the channel 5 and in the member 9 control the air supplies to the burners 31, 20 respectively. The oven comprises a ribbed bottom plate 22 supported on angle members 21 and containing a removable portion 23. At the sides are sheet-metal members 24, the lower ends of which slide in grooves in the plate 22, whilst their upper ends are bent over and engage guides 25 carried by the side walls. The gases pass up between the members and the side walls, into the oven through perforations 26<a> in the tops of the members, and thence through an aperture 18 to the flue beneath the hot-plate. The members 24, together with a horizontal plate 27 supported by them, may be removed in order that objects may be more intensely heated on the plate 2. The oven door 32 is horizontally pivoted, one of the hinges 34 being provided with a counterweight 35. The hot-plate 11 is provided with a ribbed plate 12 having two sets of rings and covers 14. The annular burner 20 is seated in the plate 17, which is provided with air-supplying apertures 19 surrounding the burner. The oven burner comprises an elongated body 31 with a cap 45 having notches 46.
