Abstract
209,289. Geslain, O. L. Dec. 27, 1922. Gas cooking-stoves.- A gas and like cooking-stove comprises an oven b surrounded by a tubular burner d, the bottom and upright portions of which are perforated and which is situated between the oven and an outer insulated casing c. At the top of the oven is a grill burner consisting of two perforated tubes d<2> connected at their ends by a cross tube d<4> and by a tie-plate to form a removable frame on which is placed a grill-plate p. In the top of the oven is a sliding damper e'. By closing the air apertures y of the burner d by the fingers luminous flames are produced which light the oven through mica or glass covered holes z, allowing the interior to be viewed through an inspection opening in the door. The hot-plate g<1> is removable, and the ends of the hot-plate burners are formed as shown in Fig. 13 to engage in recesses l, by which means the burners are removably supported. Gas is supplied to each burner through a separate chamber s to which is attached the cock r and on which is the injector nozzle t, controlled by the needle u, Fig. 6.
