Casings.-A heat-insulating device for heating appliances such as cooking stoves comprises one or more sheets 3 of polished metal, not less than 0.4 m.m. thick, arranged between inner and outer casing walls 1, 2. In the form shown, the sheet is provided with spaced corrugations 4, 5 which divide the space into horizontal compartments, the corrugations 4 extending close to, but not into contact with, the walls, whilst the remainder extend up to the walls to position the sheet.
