[Class 64 (i)] A water heater comprises a cylindrical water vessel a with a hollow depending skirt c surrounding a chamber f wherein combustion products from a gas, oil or other heater e circulate and pass to a flue round the vessel a which is shouldered externally, the top shoulder b resting on the top of an outer heat insulated wall g. A rotary baffle n in the flue outlet m is connected by a rod o to the main fuel valve p. Water may be added at the top or through an inlet q with a needle valve, and is withdrawn through a tap x. The skirt c is supported by brackets j and is open to the vessel a wholly or through apertures. The rod o may be reduced for the introduction of a key t with projections engaging the gas tap p which may have an adjustable needle valve. A relief valve y is provided in a cover z, and an overflow pipe a<1> may be water sealed.
