Abstract
399,604. Internally-fired hot-water boilers. RADIATION, Ltd., Thimble Mill Lane, Aston, Birmingham, and POOLE, R., Grappenhall Works, Thelwall Lane, Grappenhall, Warrington, Lancashire. June 4, 1932, No. 15765. [Class 64 (i).] In a water-heater from which hot water is discharged by incoming cold water, the supply pipe n with escape holes s at its upper end is provided with a cap q having apertures r to render the pipe visible. The pipe is surrounded by a tube m perforated at its lower end p to enable cold water to pass from its interior to the storage vessel a. A thermostat o and the lower end of the supply pipe are connected with a fitting f carrying gas burners e. The combustion products traverse an annular passage h in a central conduit d. The escape of vapour is prevented by a plate w provided with a skirt x dipping into the water.
