Abstract
579,540. Domestic &c. hot-water supply systems. HINKS, L. S. May 24, 1944, No. 9988. [Class 64(1)] In a domestic or like hot-water system, a large capacity bath-water tank 4, fed by a valve-controlled tank 1, communicates freely, e.g., through a pipe 10, and also through a control cock 20, with a medium capacity hotwater tank 11 heated by an electric immersion heater 12, the hot-water tank 11 delivering hot water under separate tap controls 17, 18 to a wash basin 13, sink 12a or the like, and the cock 20 being opened when hot water for the bath 8 is required. A separate enclosed container 21 within the tank 11 is fed directly from the main 22, and supplies hot water through the pipe 23 for drinking or cooking. According to the Provisional Specification, both tanks 4, 11 are supplied separately from the mains through ball valves, or the medium capacity tank 11 and the enclosed container 21 may be used alone, the bath tank not being provided.
