Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to perform an excavation with a less power and to lighten an equipment, by a method wherein a plural number of nozzles is mounted to an excavating part of an excavator for ditch in the bottom of the sea, the bottom of the sea is excavated with a jet of water jetted through a nozzle which jets water in a direction pointing downward and forward facing an advancing direction. CONSTITUTION:An excavator 101 for ditch in the bottom of the sea, which is tagged by a parent ship through a tag cable 116 and excavates a ditch in the bottom of the sea with jet nozzles 102, consists of a motor 110, a pump 112, and a pipe 113, which are positioned on a body consisting of 2 posture stabilizing plates 106 and a frame 107, and an excavating part 108 which is positioned below the body and has a plural number of nozzles 102. The jet nozzle 102 jets water in a direction pointing downward and forward facing an advancing direction, is pushed to a side by dint of jet water 104, and water current in a turbulent flow is created to excavate soil and sand in the bottom of the sea.
