アクリレート/ITO/アクリレート/ITO/アクリレート/ITO/アクリレートの交互配置で7層に配列されたアクリレートとインジウムスズ酸化物(「ITO」)層との積層体によって、ポリエチレンナフタレート(「PEN」)支持フィルムをカバーした。個々の層は以下の通りに形成された。
実施例1と同一の様式で7層の積層体を調製したが、SR−368D 混合アクリレート混合物(SR−351 トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートとSR−368 トリス(2−ヒドロキシエチル)イソシアヌレートトリアクリレートとの50:50混合物としてサートマー カンパニー(Sartomer Co.)から市販品として入手可能)を使用し、そして層3、5および7の形成においてプラズマ処理を使用しなかった。SR−351の62℃のTgとSR−368の272℃のTgとの算術平均を基準として、SR−368Dの推定Tgは167℃である。
実施例1と同一の様式で7層の積層体を調製したが、メリネックス(MELINEX)(登録商標)617 ポリエチレンテレフタレート(「PET」)フィルム基材(デュポン−テイジン フィルムズ(DuPont−Teijin Films)から市販品として入手可能、Tg=70℃)および様々なアクリレートを使用した。層1のアクリレートとして、トリプロピレングリコールジアクリレート(「TRPGDA」、UCB ケミカルズ(UCB Chemicals)から市販品として入手可能、Tg=62℃)を使用した。97%のTRPGDAと3%のEBECRYL170 アクリル化酸性接着促進剤とを含有し、かつ推定Tg=62℃を有する混合物を使用して、層3、5および7を形成した。
熱安定化PET基材
実施例1と同一の様式で7層の積層体を調製したが、メリネックス(MELINEX)(登録商標)ST725 熱安定化PETフィルム基材(デュポン−テイジン フィルムズ(DuPont−Teijin Films)から市販品として入手可能、Tg=78℃)、層1、3、5および7に関してEBECRYL170 アクリル化酸性接着促進剤を使用せずに100%のIRR−214 アクリレート、ならびに層3、5および7を堆積する時にケイ素カソードおよび層2アルゴン/酸素気体混合物を使用して2000Wで実行されたプラズマ処理を使用した。
WVTRに及ぼす基材Tgの影響
無機酸化物/バリヤーポリマー/無機酸化物の配置で配列されたSiAlO無機酸化物と市販品のバリヤーポリマー(サラン(SARAN)(登録商標)F−278、ダウ ケミカルズ カンパニー(Dow Chemical Company)から市販品として入手可能)の3層の積層体で、様々なガラス転移温度を有するいくつかの基材をカバーした。準備工程として、単一ロールを製造するために、ポリメチルペンテン、ポリプロピレン、PETおよびポリエーテルスルホンフィルム基材の部分を一緒に端と端とをスプライスした。以下の通り、これらの基材上に個々の無機酸化物およびバリヤーポリマー層を形成した。
WVTRに及ぼすポリマー層Tgの影響
様々なガラス転移温度を有するポリマー層を利用する連続4層ポリマー/無機酸化物/ポリマー/無機酸化物積層体によって、HSPE100 0.1mm PETフィルム(テイジン フィルムズ(Teijin Films)から市販品として入手可能、Tg=70℃)をカバーした。無機酸化物はITOであり、そして表2に提示された成分からポリマーを形成した。ここでは、それぞれの成分の量は、配合物中の重量部として示されている。
積層化バリヤー構造
光学接着剤を使用して、PET基材上に6層の積層体を有するバリヤーアセンブリー2つを対面になる様式で一緒に接着するために、積層化バリヤーアセンブリーを組み立てた。完成した積層化バリヤーアセンブリーは、PET/ポリマー1/SiAlO/ポリマー2/SiAlO/ポリマー2/SiAlO/光学接着剤/SiAlO/ポリマー2/SiAlO/ポリマー2/SiAlO/ポリマー1/PET配置を有した。以下の通り、バリヤーアセンブリーを形成し、そして一緒に積層化した。
OLEDデバイス
以下の通り形成された上部表面ITO導電層の堆積のために、再度、実施例1のバリヤーアセンブリーからの試料をロール−トゥ−ロール(roll−to−roll)真空加工チャンバー中に装填した。
Claims (5)
- エポキシノボラックジアクリレートおよびβ−カルボキシエチルアクリレートから形成され、78℃以上のTgを有する第1のポリマー層によって、オーバーコートされ、そして78℃以上でありかつ前記第1のポリマー層のTgよりも低いTgを有し、前記第1のポリマー層と異なる少なくとも1つの第2のポリマー層によって分離された少なくとも2つの可視光透過性無機バリヤー層によってさらにオーバーコートされている、78℃以上のTgを有する可撓性の可視光透過性基材を含んでなるバリヤーアセンブリーであって、50℃および100%RHで0.005g/m2/日未満の水蒸気透過率を有するバリヤーアセンブリー。
- 基材が、PMMAのTgより高いTgを有する、請求項1に記載のバリヤーアセンブリー。
- 少なくとも1つの無機バリヤー層が金属酸化物を含んでなる、請求項1に記載のバリヤーアセンブリー。
- アセンブリーの少なくとも一部が、導電層または電極によってオーバーコートされている、請求項1に記載のバリヤーアセンブリー。
- エポキシノボラックジアクリレートおよびβ−カルボキシエチルアクリレートから形成され、78℃以上のTgを有する第1のポリマー層によって、オーバーコートされ、そして78℃以上でありかつ前記第1のポリマー層のTgよりも低いTgを有し、前記第1のポリマー層と異なる少なくとも1つの第2のポリマー層によって分離された少なくとも2つの可視光透過性無機バリヤー層によってさらにオーバーコートされている、78℃以上のTgを有する可撓性の可視光透過性基材を含んでなるバリヤーアセンブリーによって少なくとも部分的にカバーされた、感湿もしくは酸素感応性光源または光弁を含んでなるディスプレーまたは照明デバイス。
