除图2的手持设备30和图3的计算机50之外，电子设备10可采用其他形式，诸如如图4所示的便携式多功能平板型计算设备58。在某些实施例中，平板型计算设备58可提供多于一种类型的电子设备的功能性，例如结合了媒体播放器、网络浏览器、蜂窝电话、游戏平台、个人数据管理器等中的两者或更多者的功能性的设备。例如，在所示实施例中，平板型计算设备58可提供多种附加功能性，诸如能够显示信息、拍照、记录音频和/或视频、听音乐、玩游戏等。仅以举例的方式，平板型计算设备58可为购自Apple Inc.的一种型号的iPad平板型计算机。
考虑到上述讨论，应当理解，电子设备8可适合用于本公开所提供的间接授权技术。图5示出了间接授权系统60。虽然图5将平板型计算机示出为第一显示设备62并且将蜂窝电话示出为第二授权设备64，但应该指出的是，显示设备62和授权设备64可各自为任何合适显示设备中的一者。间接授权系统60还包括无线网络66，显示设备62和授权设备64通过该无线网络进行通信。在一些实施例中，授权服务器63和应用服务器65还可适合用于通过无线网络66与彼此以及与显示设备62和授权设备64进行无线通信。

在一些实施例中，显示设备62还可被配置为在授权模式下操作。如所讨论的那样，除非受限内容之外，显示设备62还可包括一般仅在显示设备62处于授权模式时才可访问的受限内容或功能。在一些实施例中，受限内容可包括一系列功能，包括例如互联网浏览、文字消息发送、连接至安全网络。受限内容还可包括机密信息或诸如查询库存、执行交易之类的安全功能。在显示设备62被授予权限来在授权模式下操作时，显示设备62可访问某些受限功能或内容。在一些实施例中，授权模式可对显示设备62授权以访问任何可用的功能或内容。此外，在一些实施例中，显示设备62可不包括用于访问受限内容的附加的界面元素。
在一些实施例中，授权设备64可被配置为通过以下方式来授权：从第一设备62接收授权请求信号，并提示授权设备64的用户进行认证来为显示设备62授权，使得显示设备62可在授权模式下操作。
无线网络66可为诸如BluetoothTM网络的个人局域网（PAN）、诸如802.11Wi-Fi网络的局域网（LAN）、诸如3G或4G蜂窝网络的广域网（WAN）、以及其他合适的无线网络。无线网络66中的认证服务器63可包括与间接授权系统60相关账户有关的账户数据和/或身份数据。例如，可将系统60的每个员工的账户信息存储在认证服务器63中。在一些实施例中，认证服务器63可包括适于验证用户账户或验证用户认证输入的处理或控制元素，称为对用户进行认证。例如，认证服务器63可将用户认证输入（例如，识别密码、手势、账户名称等）与存储在认证服务器63的账户数据库中的账户数据进行比较。
在一些实施例中，间接授权系统60还可包括连接在无线网络66中的应用服务器65。应用服务器65可被配置为在系统60的一个或多个设备之间，诸如在一个或多个显示设备62与一个或多个授权设备64之间，进行代理。应用服务器65可适于在系统60的不同设备之间传输各种信号（例如，授权请求信号、认证输入和/或授权信号等）。在一些实施例中，应用服务器65还可验证被认证用户的权限级别，以执行功能、访问内容、授予对内容或功能的访问权限和/或监控对内容的访问。在一些实施例中，可将与认证和授权相关的处理部件或数据存储在授权设备64中。
图6为间接授权过程68的流程图，图7-9示出了在间接授权过程68期间显示设备或授权设备上的屏幕。因此，将同时讨论图6-9。在一些实施例中，间接授权过程68可始于（块70）显示设备62在显示模式下操作。过程68然后可涉及使显示设备62进入就绪模式（块72）。就绪模式可指显示设备62的一种操作状态，在该操作状态下，显示设备62向授权设备64指示显示设备62正在请求授权以在授权模式下操作和/或已准备好接收授权以在授权模式下操作。在一些实施例中，在就绪模式下操作的显示设备62可具有与在显示模式下操作的设备62类似的功能。使显示设备62进入就绪模式（块72）可通常由了解如何使显示设备62进入就绪模式的用户来执行。例如，非授权用户（例如，客户）可能不了解哪些输入或动作可使显示设备62从显示模式变至就绪模式，而被授权用户（例如，员工）可在对显示设备62授权以访问受限内容的过程中使显示设备62进入就绪模式。
图7为使显示设备62进入就绪模式（块72）的一个实施例的图示。如图7所示，显示设备62可被配置为在处于显示模式下时显示非受限内容（例如，产品规格）。显示设备62可响应于接收到显示器上的基于手势的用户输入而进入就绪模式（块72）。在所示实施例中，显示设备62为触摸屏启用的设备，且可被配置为检测用户与触摸屏显示器10的接触。显示设备62可具有存储在存储器中的就绪模式手势100。就绪模式手势100可为用户在显示设备62上的显示器10的表面上方的接触（例如，通过用户的手指）的图案或路径。当显示设备62检测到已输入适当的就绪模式手势100到显示器10中时，显示设备62可进入就绪模式。例如，在一些实施例中，被授权使显示设备62进入就绪模式和/或被授权使显示设备62在授权模式下操作的用户可以知道就绪模式手势100。此外，一些实施例可包括使显示设备62进入就绪模式（块72）的不同的方式，诸如激活其他用户界面元素（例如，图标、按钮、开关等）、以某种方式保持显示设备62，或输入代码。在一些实施例中，一旦显示设备62处于就绪模式下，显示设备62即可发送授权请求76（块74）。
授权请求76可由称为授权设备64的第二设备通过无线网络66接收（块78）。响应于接收到授权请求76（块78），授权设备64可提示用户进行认证（块80）。图8为授权设备64的屏幕的演变102的图示，其示出了在间接授权过程68中授权设备64响应于接收到授权请求76（块78）的用户界面。响应于接收到授权请求76（块78），授权设备64可被配置为显示授权请求通知104。在本实施例中，在接收到授权请求时，授权请求通知104可出现在显示器10上显示器的当前内容的顶部，并可向授权设备64的用户指示显示设备62已请求授权以在授权模式下操作。在本实施例中，授权请求通知104显示可由用户看到的消息106以及显示设备62的识别参考标记108。在一些实施例中，通知104还可包括忽略按钮110和接受按钮112。激活忽略按钮110可以忽略来自显示器10的授权请求通知104，激活接受按钮112可以在授权设备64上继续间接授权过程68，并且授权设备64可以提示设备64的用户进行认证（块80）。如本文所用，“激活”按钮可通过多种操作来完成，诸如按、推、选择、触摸等，具体取决于界面类型。
授权设备64可通过显示用于接收表示用户账户的用户输入的用户界面来提示用户进行认证（块80）。例如，在一些实施例中，授权设备64可显示具有多个手势节点116的手势节点114的布置，并且用户可通过在路径或图形中接触（例如，触摸、扫动、勾画等）手势节点114的布置来输入认证输入82，称为手势输入。在一些实施例中，授权设备64可显示账户和/或密码数据字段，并且用户可通过输入诸如账户名称和/或密码这样的信息来输入认证输入82，称为密码输入。在一些实施例中，手势输入和密码输入是通常对应于系统60（图5）中的用户账户的认证输入82的实施例。
在一些实施例中，授权设备64可将认证输入82（例如，手势输入、密码输入等）发送至连接到无线网络66的认证服务器63（块84）（图5）。在一些实施例中，认证服务器63可包括适于将认证输入82与用户账户的数据库或集合进行比较的控制或处理元素。基于认证输入82，认证服务器63可对被授权设备64的用户进行认证（块86）。更具体地讲，认证服务器63可确定认证输入82是否与系统60中的账户相关。在一些实施例中，认证服务器63可与应用服务器65通信，该应用服务器可验证被认证用户的权限（块88）以确定输入认证输入82的用户是否有权限为显示设备62授权以在授权模式下操作。应该指出的是，在一些实施例中，认证和/或授权可在授权设备64上进行。
在一些实施例中，一旦授权设备64的用户已获得认证（块86）并且一旦用户的权限已获得验证（块88），即可将授权信号92发送至显示设备62（块90）。在一些实施例中，可由应用服务器65、认证服务器63或授权设备64来发送授权信号92。授权设备64还可显示显示设备62被授权在授权模式下操作的指示118。指示118还可包括关闭按钮120，该关闭按钮用于忽略指示118并使授权设备64返回至其在进入间接授权过程68之前的原始状态。
一旦显示设备62接收到授权信号92（块94），显示设备62即可处理信号并开始在授权模式下操作（块96）。在授权模式下，显示设备62一般可访问先前当显示设备62在显示模式或就绪模式下操作时受到限制的附加的内容和功能。在一些实施例中，授权模式下的操作涉及为访问显示设备62中的仅某些功能或内容而进行的授权。例如，授权设备64可选择在其在授权模式下操作期间可被授权在显示设备62上访问的功能或内容的类别。或者，显示设备62可指示在授权请求76中请求访问的特定功能或内容。在一些实施例中，授权信号92可授予有限时间段（例如，5分钟、10分钟等）内或有限数据量（例如，50MB）的权限，并且在一些实施例中，授权模式可涉及对显示设备62的任何内容或功能的移除或限制以及全面访问。
图9为可在间接授权过程68中由授权设备64显示的屏幕的另一演变122的图示。如图9所示，一个实施例包括显示表示为节点126的一组显示设备62的地图视图124。地图视图124可基于显示设备62相对于彼此以及相对于授权设备64的位置来示出显示设备62。地图视图124可被配置为示出与显示设备62相关的细节，诸如设备的类型、用途等。地图视图124还可指示显示设备62中的一者或多者是否已置于就绪模式且需要授权。在图9所示的实施例中，地图视图124可显示某显示设备62（例如，图示中的设备5）已发送授权请求信号的指示128。此类指示128可包括例如闪烁节点、不同颜色的节点或其他形式的区别。为继续进行显示设备62的间接授权，用户可选择显示设备62。例如，在一些实施例中，可选择所指示的设备。选择显示设备62可导致先前结合图5和8所讨论的认证和授权过程。
在一个或多个实施例中，授权设备64可被配置为从多于一个显示设备62接收授权请求76。在此类实施例中，授权设备64可被配置为显示授权请求队列屏幕130，如图10所示。授权请求队列屏幕130可包括待处理的授权请求134的总和132并列出每个待处理的授权请求134。在本实施例中，每个待处理的授权请求134包括请求设备的识别编号108、请求的内容136以及请求的时间138。授权设备64被配置为允许用户选择任何待处理的授权请求134以进行授权。
虽然在一些实施例中，间接授权技术涉及将无线请求信号从显示设备62发送至授权设备64，但在其他实施例中，授权设备64在对显示设备62授权之前可不必接收请求信号。例如，图11示出了间接授权技术的一个实施例，其中显示设备62可不必将授权请求发送至授权设备64。如图11所示，显示设备62可包括设置在设备62的外部上或设置在设备62的能够可视地触及的任何部分上的视觉识别符或代码，诸如条形码138。例如，条形码138可设置在设备62的背部上。如果授权设备64的用户希望在授权模式下操作显示设备62，则授权用户可扫描显示设备62的条形码138以对与特定的所扫描条形码138相关的显示设备62授权。在一些实施例中，授权设备64可包括光学传感器140，诸如照相机，且可被配置为捕获条形码138的图像。授权设备64可于之后将条形码138的图像与条形码数据库匹配以识别其上设置有该条形码138的显示设备62。如果识别出条形码138，则授权设备64可将授权信号发送至其上设置有该条形码138的显示设备62。
在一些实施例中，可将条形码数据库存储在合适的服务器（例如，系统60中的认证服务器63或应用服务器65）上或授权设备64中。此外，在一些实施例中，在识别条形码138之后，授权设备64可在对显示设备62授权之前请求授权设备64的用户的认证和/或授权（如结合图5和8所讨论的那样）。
此外，在一些实施例中，显示设备62可显示或发出或发送某显示设备62处于就绪模式下的指示。例如，就绪模式指示可包括能由授权设备64检测到的音频信号和/或由显示设备62显示且能由授权设备64检测到的可视信号。例如，如图12所示，响应于进入就绪模式，显示设备62可在其显示器10上显示闪烁节点142的序列。闪烁节点142的序列可表示识别显示设备62和/或指示某显示设备62正在就绪模式下操作的代码。在该实施例中，授权设备64可用其光学传感器140扫描或捕获闪烁节点142的序列。授权设备64可识别由闪烁节点的序列表示的代码并将其与显示设备62的身份匹配以对显示设备62授权。在一些实施例中，间接授权过程可继续对授权设备64的用户进行认证和/或授权以对显示设备62授权。
虽然在一些实施例中，可由进入就绪模式和/或将无线请求信号发送至授权设备的显示设备62来发起间接授权技术，但在一些实施例中，可由授权设备64来发起间接授权。例如，授权设备64的用户可（例如，从显示设备62的列表或地图128中）选择要授权的显示设备62。在选择了显示设备62后，间接授权技术可涉及对授权设备64的用户进行认证和/或授权以继续对所选择的显示设备62授权。
此外，在一个或多个实施例中，对于授权设备64上的每个所接收授权请求，间接授权过程可涉及在不请求附加的认证和/或授权的情况下对显示设备62授权。例如，授权设备64可将授权信号发送至显示设备62。此类实施例可假设授权设备64的用户已获得认证和授权。例如，在无附加的认证和/或授权的情况下对显示设备62授权可基于接近度（例如，如果显示设备62和授权设备64相距在2英尺内）。在一些实施例中，由授权设备64发送的授权信号可经过服务器（例如，应用服务器64）以验证显示设备62的授权。
本文以举例的方式示出了上述具体实施例，应当理解，这些实施例可容许各种修改和替代形式。还应理解的是，所述权利要求并非旨在限制于本发明所公开的特定形式，相反，其旨在涵盖在本公开的精神和范围内的所有修改、等同物和替代形式。

Claims (22)

1.一种系统，包括：
显示设备，所述显示设备被配置为在显示模式下操作、以无线方式接收授权信号、以及响应于接收到所述授权信号而在授权模式下操作；
授权设备，所述授权设备被配置为接收认证输入以对所述显示设备授权；以及
处理电路，所述处理电路在所述显示设备外部，其中所述处理电路被配置为如果所述认证输入获得认证并且如果所述显示设备获得授权则以无线方式将授权信号发送至所述显示设备。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述显示设备和所述授权设备中的至少一者为触摸屏设备。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为当在所述授权模式下操作之前在就绪模式下操作，其中所述显示设备被配置为在所述就绪模式下操作时接收和处理所述授权信号。
4.根据权利要求3所述的系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为在接收到就绪模式输入时在所述就绪模式下操作。
5.根据权利要求4所述的系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为在接收到所述就绪模式输入时发送授权请求信号。
6.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述授权设备被配置为接收来自所述显示设备的授权请求信号并且被配置为响应于接收到所述授权请求信号而在所述授权设备上提示所述认证输入。
7.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述授权设备被配置为响应于接收到来自所述显示设备的所述授权请求而产生指示，其中所述指示包括音频指示、视觉指示、或它们的组合。
8.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述授权设备被配置为接收认证输入以用于验证所述授权设备的用户的身份。
9.根据权利要求8所述的系统，包括被配置为以无线方式与所述授权设备通信的认证服务器，其中所述授权设备被配置为将所述认证输入发送至所述认证服务器，并且其中所述认证服务器被配置为基于所述认证输入来验证所述授权设备的所述用户的身份。
10.根据权利要求9所述的系统，包括应用服务器，所述应用服务器包括被配置为以无线方式将所述授权信号发送至所述显示设备的所述处理电路，其中所述应用服务器被配置为接收来自所述认证服务器的认证数据并且基于所述认证数据来发送所述授权信号。
11.根据权利要求10所述的系统，其中所述授权设备包括所述显示设备外部的所述处理电路。
12.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为将授权请求信号发送至授权设备，并且其中所述授权设备被配置为接收来自所述显示设备的所述授权请求信号并且响应于接收到所述授权请求信号而请求来自所述授权设备的用户的所述认证输入。
13.一种间接授权系统，包括：
显示设备，所述显示设备包含受限内容和非受限内容，其中所述显示设备被配置为在仅所述非受限内容是可访问的显示模式下操作、在进入所述非受限内容的一部分是可访问的授权模式之前发送请求信号、接收授权信号、以及响应于接收到所述授权信号而在所述授权模式下操作；
授权设备，所述授权设备被配置为接收来自所述显示设备的所述请求信号以及接收认证输入；
服务器，所述服务器被配置为接收来自所述授权设备的所述认证输入、对所述认证输入进行认证、以及将所述授权信号发送至所述显示设备；以及
无线网络，所述无线网络被配置为支持所述显示设备、所述授权设备以及所述服务器之间的通信。
14.根据权利要求13所述的间接授权系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为将所述请求信号发送至多个授权设备。
15.根据权利要求13所述的间接授权系统，其中所述授权设备被配置为将来自多个显示设备的所接收请求信号排队。
16.根据权利要求13所述的间接授权系统，其中所述显示设备被配置为选择多个授权设备中的一者以用于发送所述请求信号。
17.根据权利要求13所述的间接授权系统，其中所述请求信号是光学信号和音频信号中的一者。
18.根据权利要求17所述的间接授权系统，其中所述授权设备包括被配置为检测所述光学信号的照相机。
19.一种方法，包括：
在显示模式下操作显示设备，使得非受限内容在所述显示设备上是可访问的而受限内容在所述显示设备上是不可访问的；
在授权设备处接收认证输入；
如果所述认证输入获得认证，则以无线方式将授权信号从所述显示设备外部的设备发送至所述显示设备；以及
在所述显示设备接收到所述授权信号之后，在授权模式下操作所述显示设备，其中在所述授权模式下操作所述显示设备包括访问所述受限内容中的一些或全部。
20.根据权利要求19所述的方法，包括响应于在所述显示设备上接收到就绪模式输入而在就绪模式下操作所述显示设备。
21.根据权利要求20所述的方法，包括当显示设备正在所述就绪模式下操作时将授权请求从所述显示设备发送至所述授权设备。
22.根据权利要求19所述的方法，包括通过将所述认证输入与认证服务器中的账户数据库进行比较来对所述认证输入进行认证。
