Abstract
En injeksjonsanordning (110) innbefatter et hus (112) med en sprøyte (114) med en tømmedyse (118). Sprøyten er bevegelig mellom en inntrukket posisjon i hvilken tømmedysen rommes inne i huset og en utstrakt posisjon i hvilken tømmedysen strekker seg utfra huset. Det er tilveiebragt en sprøytehette (180) for å innkapsle tømmedysen. Sprøytehetten er fjernbar fra sprøyten ved rotasjon i forhold til sprøyten. En sprøytebærer (150) i huset er avpasset for å begrense rotasjonen av sprøyten i forhold til huset når hetten blir fjernet.
Description
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en injeksjonsanordning av typen som opptar en sprøyte, strekker den ut, tømmer dens innhold og så trekker den inn automatisk.
Kjente injeksjonsanordninger er vist i WO 95/35126 og EP-A-0516 473, og benytter en drivfjær og en form for frigjøringsmekanisme som frigjør sprøyten fra påvirkning av drivfjæren straks dens innhold antas å ha blitt tømt, for å tillate den å bli trukket tilbake av en returfjær.
Ofte kreves det at slike injeksjonsanordninger arbeider med forseglede hypoderme sprøyter som typisk har et hermetisk forseglet deksel eller ”støvel” som dekker den hypoderme nålen og bibeholder steriliteten til sprøyteinnholdet. Naturligvis er det nødvendig å bibeholde steriliteten til sprøyteinnholdet inntil administreringstidspunktet, som innebærer at for anordninger som er konstruert for å være av engangstypen må støvelen bli fjernet med sprøyten inne i injeksjonsanordningen.
Generelt medfører handlingen som kreves for å fjerne støvelen fra sprøyten enten trekking av støvelen vekk fra sprøyten eller vridning av støvelen og, enten samtidig eller etterfølgende, trekking av støvelen vekk fra sprøyten.
Den samtidig løpende britiske patentsøknad nr 0412051.5, beskriver en hette for en injeksjonsanordning som er koplet til støvelen til sprøyten slik at fjerning av huslukkeelementet fra huset forårsaker fjerning av støvelen fra sprøyten.
I visse typer sprøyter, for eksempel en sprøyte av Bünder Reject<TM>-typen, må støvelen bli vridd for å bryte en skjør forbindelse før den kan bli trukket av. Siden sprøyten rommes i huset og ikke blir holdt direkte av en bruker, må den bli understøttet stivt i huset slik at rotasjon av støvelen ikke forårsaker rotasjon av sprøyten som ville kunne føre til at støvelen ikke ble fjernet. Dette er spesielt tilfelle når vesentlig rotasjonskraft kreves for å fjerne støvelen og/eller bryte den skjøre forbindelsen.
Den sylindriske formen til sprøyten gjør at den ikke selv blir understøttet mot rotasjon, spesielt siden sprøyter som blir benyttet sammen med injeksjonsanordninger av typen beskrevet heri ofte er laget av glass som kan knuse.
US 2531267 A beskriver et hus tilpasset å inneholde en sprøytebærer som holder en sprøyte. Sprøytebæreren omfatter en sperre som holder sprøyten fra forskyvningsform til bæreren. Sperren kan dreies for å muliggjøre frigjøring av sprøyten.
US 2003/181859 A beskriver en injeksjonsanordning omfattende en sprøytekropp bestående av et beskyttende hus og en separerbar forreste del avgrenset av en brytbar ringformet sone.
US 6193696 B beskriver en låsbar sikkerhetsskjoldssammenstilling for en forfyllbar sprøyte og hvor et gjennomtrengende element er konfigurert på sprøyten, en nålskjerm kan monteres rundt det gjennomtrengende elementet.
Injeksjonsanordningene i henhold til den foreliggende oppfinnelse er konstruert for å håndtere de ovennevnte problemer.
I lys av det foregående, i henhold til den foreliggende oppfinnelse, er det tilveiebragt en injeksjonsanordning innbefattende:
et hus innbefattende en sprøyte med en tømmedyse som er bevegelig mellom en inntrukket posisjon i hvilken tømmedysen blir rommet inne i huset og en utstrakt posisjon i hvilken tømmedysen strekker seg ut fra huset;
en sprøytehette for å innkapsle tømmedysen og som kan fjernes fra sprøyten ved rotasjon i forhold til sprøyten; og
en sprøytebærer avpasset for å begrense rotasjon av sprøyten i forhold til huset når hetten blir fjernet, sprøytebæreren innbefatter en mantel som omkranser sprøyten langs dens lengde og i hvilken sprøyten kan bli innsatt fra en fjern ende;
hvori sprøytebæreren innbefatter et grep ved dens nære ende avpasset til å begrense rotasjon av sprøyten i forhold til sprøytebæreren.
Sprøytehetten kan således bli fjernet enkelt ved å rotere den mens sprøyten blir holdt fast i huset.
Fortrinnsvis innbefatter grepet minst en deformerbar ribbe. En fast forbindelse dannes således mellom sprøyten og sprøytebæreren ved innsprøyting av sprøyten i
sprøytebæreren.
Sprøytebæreren innbefatter fortrinnsvis en ring gjennom hvilken tømmedysen til sprøyten strekker seg, idet ringen inkluderer grepet på sin indre omkrets.
I en utførelsesform av den foreliggende oppfinnelse innbefatter sprøyten et sprøytelegeme og minst en rille som rager radielt ut fra sprøytelegemet og strekker seg i det minste delvis langs lengden av sprøytelegemet.
Grepet kan innbefatte minst en ribbe som kan kontakte den minst ene rillen på sprøytelegemet. På denne måten kan ribben og rillen låses sammen med hverandre på en tannaktig måte for å danne forbedret motstand mot rotasjonen.
I det minste en rille kan være anordnet tilstøtende tømmedysen.
En hushette kan være frigjørbart festet over en åpning i huset gjennom hvilken tømmedysen strekker seg ved bruk, idet hushetten er i kommunikasjon med sprøytehetten.
Oppfinnelsen vil nå bli beskrevet ved hjelp av eksempler med henvisning til de medfølgende tegninger, der:

Figurene 1 og 2 viser en injeksjonsanordning 110, ved et injeksjonsanordningshus 112. Enden av huset 112 har en utgangsåpning 128 hvorigjennom enden av en hylse 119 kan gå ut.
Huset 112 inneholder en hypoderm sprøyte 114 av konvensjonell type, inkludert et sprøytelegeme 116 som definerer et reservoar og som i en ende ender i en hypoderm nål 118 og i den andre enden i en flens 120. Sprøytelegemet 116 har en i det vesentlige konstant diameter langs lengden av reservoaret, og har en vesentlig mindre diameter nær enden av sprøyten som ender i den hypoderme nålen. Et drivelement 134 virker igjennom spissen til sprøyten for å tømme innholdet til sprøyten 114 igjennom nålen 118. Dette drivelementet 134 tvinger et legemiddel 124 til å bli administrert inne i reservoaret definert av sprøytelegemet 116. Selv om den viste sprøyten er av hypoderm type trenger dette ikke nødvendigvis å være slik. Transkutane eller ballistiske dermale og subkutane sprøyter kan også bli benyttet sammen med injeksjonsanordningen i henhold til den foreliggende oppfinnelse.
Som vist, rommes sprøyten inne i en sprøytebærer 150. Sprøytebæreren er best vist i figurene 3 og 4. Sprøytebæreren 150 har en når ende 151 gjennom hvilken nålen 118 til sprøyten rager. Nålen 118 er festet til sprøytelegemet 116 til sprøyten ved hjelp av en nålundersammenstilling 172 som har en redusert diameter. I den nære enden 151 av sprøytebæreren 150 er det en seksjon med redusert diameter 173 som understøtter enden av sprøyten 114 på dens legeme 116. Sprøytebæreren 150 inkluderer også et par fleksible fremspring 152. Paret med fleksible fremspring 152 kommuniserer med et korresponderende par med låseåpninger på en returfjærstøtte 160 slik at sprøytebæreren 150 ikke kan beveges i forhold til returfjærstøtten 160. Sprøytebæreren 150 innbefatter også en bæreoverflate 153 nær dets andre ende, mot hvilken en korresponderende bæreoverflate av returfjærstøtten 160 blir forspent av en returfjær 126. Returfjæren 126 forspenner, via returfjærstøtten 160 og sprøytebæreren 150, sprøyten 114 fra en utstrakt posisjon i hvilken nålen 118 strekker seg ut fra åpningen 128 i huset 112 og til en inntrukket posisjon i hvilken nålen 118 rommes inne i huset 112.
Sprøytebæreren 150 innbefatter en mantel 154 i hvilken sprøyten 114 kan bli innsatt fra en fjern ende 170. Sprøyten 114 er tilveiebragt med en støvel (ikke vist). Hvis sprøyten skulle svikte eller brekke ville mantelen 154, som omkranser sprøyten 114 langs dens lengde, romme de brukne delene av sprøyten og redusere sannsynligheten for at disse unnslipper fra injeksjonsanordningen 110.
Huset er videre tilveiebragt med et fleksibelt låseelement 161 som er forspent til en posisjon i hvilket det kontakter en låseoverflate 163 på returfjærstøtten 160. Før kontakt med låseoverflaten 163 strekker låseelementet 161 seg også gjennom en låseåpning 165 i hylsen 119. Låseelementet 161 inkluderer en skråplanoverflate 167 mot hvilken en kant av låseåpningen 165 virker på samme måte som en kam som virker på en kambolt.
Huset inkluderer også en aktuator, og en drivenhet som her har form av en kompresjonsdrivfjær 130. Drift fra drivfjæren 130 blir overført via en multikomponentdrivenhet til stempelet til sprøyten 114 for å fremføre sprøyten fra sin inntrukne posisjon til sin utstrakte posisjon og tømme dens innhold gjennom nålen 118.
Drivenheten oppnår en oppgave ved å virke direkte på legemiddel 124 og sprøyten 114. Statisk friksjon mellom drivelementet 134 og sprøytelegemet 116 sikrer innledningsvis at de føres frem i sammen, inntil returfjæren 126 bunner ut eller sprøytelegemet 116 møter en annen hindring (ikke vist) som retarderer dets bevegelse.
Multikomponentdriften mellom drivfjæren 130 og sprøyten 114 består av tre hovedkomponenter. En drivhylse 131 får drift fra drivfjæren 130 og overfører den til et første drivelement 132. Dette overfører igjen drift til drivelelmentet 134 som allerede nevnt.
Drivelementet 132 inkluderer en hul stamme 140 hvis indre hulrom danner et samlekammer 142 i kommunikasjon med en kanal 144 som strekker seg fra samlekammeret gjennom enden av stammen 140. Det andre drivelementet 134 inkluderer et blindhull 146 som er åpent i en ende for å oppta stammen 140 og lukket i den andre. Slik det kan ses, definerer hullet 146 og stammen 140 et fluidreservoar 148, i hvilket det rommes et dempefluid.
En utløser (ikke vist) er tilveiebragt på huset 112 fjernt fra utgangsåpningen 128.
Utløseren tjener, når den opereres, til å frakople drivhylsen 131 fra huset 112, som tillater den å beveges i forhold til huset 112 under påvirkning av drivfjæren 130.
Operasjonen av anordningen er da som følger.
Innledningsvis er returfjærbæreren 152, og følgelig sprøytebæreren 150 og sprøyten 114, forhindret fra bevegelse av det fleksible låseelementet 161. Ved å bevege hylsen 119 i en retning inn i huset 112 blir kanten av låseåpningen 165 bragt i kontakt med skråplanoverflaten 167 til låseelement 161, som får låseelementet 161 til å beveges utover og således frakoples fra returfjærstøtten 160. Straks låseelementet 161 har blitt frakoplet fra låseoverflaten 163 er sprøyten fri til å beveges.
Aktuatoren blir så presset inn og drivfjæren 130 blir frigjort. Drivfjæren 130 beveger drivhylsen 131, drivhylsen 131 beveger det første drivelementet 132 og det første drivelementet 132 beveger det andre drivelementet 134. Det andre drivelementet 134 beveges, og ved hjelp av statisk friksjon og hydrostatiske krefter som virker gjennom legemiddelet 124 som skal administreres, beveges sprøytelegemet 114 mot virkningen til returfjæren 126.
Sprøytelegemet 114 beveger sprøytebæreren 150, som igjen beveger returfjærstøtten 160 og komprimerer returfjæren 126. Den hypoderme nålen 118 går ut av utgangsåpningen 128 til huset 112. Dette fortsetter inntil returfjæren 126 bunner ut eller sprøytelegemet 116 møter noen annen hindring (ikke vist) som retarderer dets bevegelse. Fordi den statiske friksjonen mellom det andre drivelementet 134 og sprøytelegemet 116 og de hydrostatiske krefter som virker gjennom legemiddelet 124 som skal administreres ikke er tilstrekkelig til å motstå hele drivkraften utviklet av drivfjæren 130, begynner, på dette punktet, det andre drivelemet 134 å beveges inne i sprøytelegemet 116 og legemiddelet 124 begynner å bli tømt. Dynamisk friksjon mellom det andre drivelementet 134 og sprøytelegemet 116 og hydrostatiske og hydrodynamiske krefter som nå virker gjennom legemiddelet 124 som skal administreres er imidlertid tilstrekkelige til å bibeholde returfjæren 126 i sin komprimerte tilstand, slik at den hypoderme nålen 118 forblir utstrakt.
Før det andre drivelementet 134 når enden av sin bevegelse inne i sprøytelegemet 116, og således innholdet i sprøyten har blitt fullstendig tømt, når de fleksible låsearmer som forbinder de første og andre drivelementer 132, 134 en begrensning i huset 112 dannet av armene 155 i enden av sprøytebæreren som er nærmest flensen 120 til sprøyten 114. Begrensningen beveger de fleksible låsearmer til en posisjon slik at de ikke lenger kopler det første drivelementet 132 til det andre drivelementet 134. Straks dette skjer, virker ikke det første drivelementet 132 lenger på det andre drivelementet 134, som tillater det første drivelementet 132 å bevege seg i forhold til det andre drivelementet 134.
Fordi dempefluidet rommes i et reservoar 128 definert mellom enden av det første drivelementet 132 og blindhullet 146 i det andre drivelementet 134 vil volumet til reservoaret 146 reduseres når det første drivelementet 132 beveges i forhold til det andre drivelementet 134 når sistnevnte blir påvirket av drivfjæren 130. Ettersom reservoaret 148 kollapser blir dempefluid tvunget gjennom kanalen 144 inn i samlekammeret 142. Straks de fleksible låsearmer har blitt frigjort virker litt av kraften utøvd av drivfjæren 130 på dempefluidet, og får det til å strømme igjennom begrensningen dannet av kanalen 144; resten virker hydrostatisk gjennom fluidet og gjennom friksjonen mellom de første og andre drivelementer 132, 134, og således via det andre drivelementet 134. Følgelig fortsetter det andre drivelementet 134 å beveges inne i sprøytelegemet 116 og legemiddelet 124 fortsetter å bli tømt. Tap forbundet med strømmen av dempefluid svekker ikke kraften som virker på sprøytelegemet i større grad. Returfjæren 126 forblir således komprimert og den hypoderme nålen forblir utstrakt.
Etter en tid fullfører det andre drivelementet 134 sin bevegelse inne i sprøytelegemet 116, og kan ikke gå lenger. På dette punktet er innholdet i sprøyten 114 fullstendig tømt og kraften utøvd av drivfjæren 130 virker til å bibeholde det andre drivelementet 134 i sin endeposisjon og å fortsette å få dempefluidet til å strømme igjennom kanalen 144, som tillater det første drivelementet 132 å fortsette sin bevegelse.
Før reservoaret 148 med fluid er tømt, når de fleksible låsearmer som forbinder drivhylsen 131 med det første drivelementet 132 en annen begrensning inne i huset 112. Begrensningen beveger de fleksible låsearmer slik at de ikke lenger kopler drivhylsen 131 til det første drivelement 132. Straks dette skjer, virker drivhylsen 131 ikke lenger på det første drivelementet 132, og tillater dem å beveges i forhold til hverandre. På dette punktet blir kreftene utviklet av drivfjæren 130 ikke lenger overført til sprøyten 114. Den eneste kraften som virker på sprøyten vil være returkraften fra returfjæren 126 som virker på enden av sprøyten 114 nærmest nålen 118 via returfjærstøtten 160 og sprøytebæreren 150. Følgelig blir sprøyten returnert til sin inntrukne posisjon og injeksjonssyklusen er fullført.
Fig. 5 viser et forstørret tverrsnittsriss av den nære enden 151 av sprøytebæreren 150, og fig.6 viser, isolert, sprøyten 116 med sprøytehetten 180 over tømmenålen 118.
Seksjonen 173 med redusert tverrsnittsareal i sprøytebæreren 150 kan bli sett mer detaljert i fig.5. Det er, i den nære enden 151, også tilveiebragt en ring 185 gjennom hvilken sprøytehetten 180 og nåleundersammenstillingen 172 rager når sprøyten 114 er innsatt i sprøytebæreren 150. På den indre omkretsen av ringen 185 er det tilveiebragt et antall deformerbare ribber 190 som deformeres elastisk for å tilveiebringe et grep på nåleundersammenstillingen 172 når sprøyten 114 er innsatt i sprøytebæreren 150.
Grepet tilveiebragt av de deformerbare ribber 190 forhindrer rotasjon av sprøyten 114 inne i sprøytebæreren 150.
På den ytre overflaten av nåleundersammenstillingen 195 til sprøyten 114 er det et antall riller 195 som rager radielt ut fra sprøytelegemet og strekker seg langs sin lengde, i det minste delvis, langs lengden av nåleundersammenstillingen 195 til sprøyten 114.
I en utførelsesform av oppfinnelsen kan rillene 195 og ribbene 190 være anordnet for å kontakte hverandre som sammenlåsende tenner, og dermed tilveiebringe forbedrede grep og motstand mot rotasjon.
Fig. 7 viser injeksjonsanordningen med en hushette 199 i hvilken sprøytehetten 180 blir innsatt ved tilvirkning av injeksjonsanordningen 110. Sprøytehetten 180 blir holdt stivt i hushetten 199, slik at, ved rotasjon av hushetten 199, blir spryøtehetten 180 også rotert (mens sprøyten 114 blir grepet mot rotasjon i sprøytebæreren 150), som dermed bryter en skjør forbindelse mellom sprøytehetten 180 og nålundersammenstillingen 172.
