Abstract
비지지 중합 촉매의 존재 하에서의 가스 상 중합 반응에 있어서, 상기 중합은 수지 입자의 평균 직경이 약 0.01에서 약 0.06인치의 범위로 생산되는 수지 입자 빈약 지역을 제공하기 위해 액체 촉매를 투입하는 방법을 제공한다.

Claims (14)
- (ⅰ) 연속적으로 또는 간헐적으로 하나 이상의 단량체를, 선택적으로 적어도 하나의 디엔을, 선택적으로 적어도 하나의 불활성 입자상 물질을, 그리고 선택적으로 하나 이상의 불활성 가스를 중합 반응 영역에 투입하고 ; (ⅱ) 액체 형태의 비지지 중합 촉매를 입자 빈약 영역을 제공하기 위한 성장 중합체 입자의 층과 직접적인 접촉 없이 연속적으로 또는 간헐적으로 반응 용기에 투입하고 ; (ⅲ) 연속적으로 또는 간헐적으로 반응 용기로부터 중합 생성물을 회수하고 ; 그리고 (ⅳ) 연속적으로 비반응 단량체 및 상기 중합 반응으로부터의 비반응 가스를 회수하고 본 중합 반응 영역 내에 존재하는 적어도 하나의 단량체의 이슬점 이하로 중합 반응 영역의 온도를 유지하기 위해 상기 가스를 선택적으로 압축 또는 냉각하는 ; 단계로 구성되는 중합 조건하에서 성장 중합체입자의 층을 포함하는 중합 반응 영역을 갖는 가스 유동층 반응 용기 내에서 중합체를 생산하기 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액체 형태의 비지지 촉매의 액적이 약 0.01내지 0.05인치 범위의 평균 중합체 입경을 갖도록 상기 층의 성장 중합체 입자와의 직접적인 접촉 없이 투입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 액체 촉매를 그것이 유동화 영역으로 들어갈 때 액체 촉매의 통로로부터 떨어진 층의 수지 입자를 편향시키기에 충분한 속도를 갖는 하나 이상의 입자 편향 가스에 둘러싸인 운반 가스 내에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 액체 촉매는 적어도 하나의 입자 편향 가스 및 적어도 하나의 끝 세척 가스, 순환 가스, 단량체 가스, 사슬 전달 가스, 및 불활성 가스로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택된 각 가스에 둘러싸인 운반 가스 내에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 운반 가스 내에 있는 액체 촉매가 약 50ft/sec내지 약 400ft/sec범위의 속도로 투입되고 ; 상기 입자 편향 가스가 약 10ft/sec 내지 약 105ft/sec범위의 속도로 투입되고 ; 그리고 끝 세척가스의 속도 범위가 약 50ft/sec내지 약 250ft/sec인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 입자 편향 가스 및 끝 세척 가스의 압력이 반응용기의 중합 반응 영역 내의 압력보다 높은 약 10 내지 약 50psig사이인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 입자 편향 가스는 재순환 가스이고 끝 세척 가스는 단량체 가스인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 액체 촉매가 (ⅰ) 촉매 주입 튜브 또는 노즐을 둘러싸는 입자 편향 가스 튜브 또는 (ⅱ) 촉매 주입 튜브 또는 노즐을 교대로 에워싸는 끝 세척 튜브를 둘러싸는 입자 편향 가스 튜브를 포함하는 촉매 운반 시스템에 의해 투입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액체 촉매가 메탈로센 촉매, 희토류 촉매 및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 메탈로센 촉매 조성물이및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택된 촉매 전구체 여기서 ; M은 Zr또는 Hf이고 ; L은 치환된 또는 치환되지 않은,-결합 리간드이고 ; 각 Q는 같거나 다를 수 있고 -O-, -NR3 2- 및 -S-로 구성되는 군으로부터 독립적을 선택되고 ; Y는 C 또는 S이고 ; Q가 -NR3일 때의 Z는 -OR3, -NR3 2, -CR3 3, -SR3, -SiR3 3, -PR3 3및 -H로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되고, 그리고 Z는 -OR3, -NR3 2, -CR3 3, -SR3, -SiR3 3, -PR3 2, 및 -H로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되고 ; n은 1또는 2이고 ; A는 n이 2일 때 1가 음이온 군이고 n이 1일 때는 2가 음이온 군이며 ; R3는 같거나 다를 수 있고 탄소, 실리콘, 질소, 산소 및/또는 황화물을 포함하는 독립적인 군이고 하나 이상의 R3군이 L 치환체에 선택적으로 부착될 수 있고 ; T는 1에서 10까지의 탄소원자, 게르마늄, 실리콘 및 알킬 포스핀을 포함하는 알킬렌 또는 아릴렌 군으로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택된 가교 군이고 ; 그리고 m은 1 내지 7인 ; 촉매 전구체 및 (ⅱ) 공촉매를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 희토류 촉매가 네오디뮴 카르복실레이트, 네오디뮴 알콜레이트, 네오디뮴 아세틸아세토네이트, 네오디뮴 할라이드, 네오디뮴 알릴 유도체, 및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 (a) 에틸렌 동종중합체, 에틸렌 공중합체, 및 하나 이상의 C3-C12알파올레핀을 갖는 에틸렌 삼중합체 ; (b) 프로필렌 동종 중합체 및 하나 이상의 C4-C12알파 올레핀을 갖는 프로필렌 공중합체 ; (c) 폴리부타디엔 ; 및 (d) 에틸렌 프로필렌 고무 및 에틸렌 프로필렌 디엔 고무 ; 로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되어 생산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디엔이 5-에틸리덴-2-노르보덴, 1,3-시클로펜타디엔, 1,7-옥타디엔, 1,4-헥사디엔, 및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되어 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 불활성 입자상 물질이 카본 블랙, 실리카, 진흙(clay), 탈크(talc) 및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되어 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
