Abstract

Se describen composiciones de catalizador reactivado sin soporte, metodos para usarlos por lo cual las composiciones tienen concentracion de catalizador preactivado de por lo menos aproximadamente 0.04 mmol de catalizador preactivado por litro de solucion cuando se usan solventes de hidrocarburo alifatico o aliciclico, y una concentracion menor de aproximadamente 0.80 mmol/litro cuando se usan solventes aromaticos o sustituidos con halogeno. En el metodo, un precursor de catalizador sin soporte se pone en contacto primero con un activador, o co-catalizador, en un medio de reaccion adecuado, y despues la mezcla resultante se pone en contacto con solvente adicional para formar una composicion de catalizador preactivado sin soporte para polimerizacion de olefinas que puede ser alimentada a un reactor de polimerizacion en fase gaseosa sin tapar la boquilla de inyeccion de catalizador. Combinando el precursor de catalizador sin soporte, el co-catalizador y agregando despues solvente adicional para proporcionar tal composicion se evita el taponamiento del tubo, y proporciona un material catalizador que tiene alta actividad, evita la formacion de cantidades significativas de aglomerados de polimero, y evita el atascamiento del reactor.
