Claims (10)
- 투명 전극과 액정 분자를 배향시키는 배향 제어막을 구비한 2 매의 기판을 가지고, 이 기판 사이에 액정 조성물을 포함하여 이루어지는 액정 표시 장치로서, 1 개 이상의 환 구조 또는 축환 구조와, 상기 환 구조 또는 축환 구조와 직접 결합하고 있는 2 개의 관능기를 갖는 중합 가능한 단량체를 함유하는 액정 조성물을 2 매의 기판 사이에 주입하고, 이 기판의 대향 투명 전극 사이에 전압을 인가하면서 상기 단량체를 중합하는 공정을 거쳐 제조되는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 단량체가 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 액정 표시 장치.<화학식 1>P1-A1-(Z1-A2)n-P2상기 식 중,P1및 P2는 각각 독립적으로 아크릴레이트, 메타크릴레이트, 비닐, 비닐옥시 또는 에폭시기이고,A1및 A2는 각각 독립적으로 1,4-페닐렌 또는 나프탈렌-2,6-디일기를 나타내고,Z1은 -COO-, -OCO-기 또는 단일 결합이고,n은 0, 1 또는 2이다.
- 제2항에 있어서, P1및 P2가 아크릴레이트기이고, Z1이 단일 결합이며, n이 0 또는 1인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 단량체가 하기 화학식 1a, 1b 또는 1c로 표시되는 것인 액정 표시 장치.<화학식 1a><화학식 1b><화학식 1c>상기 식 중,P1및 P2는 각각 독립적으로 아크릴레이트, 메타크릴레이트, 비닐, 비닐옥시 또는 에폭시기이다.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 단량체가 하기 화학식 1a 또는 1b로 표시되는 것인 액정 표시 장치.<화학식 1a><화학식 1b>상기 식 중,P1및 P2는 각각 독립적으로 아크릴레이트, 메타크릴레이트, 비닐, 비닐옥시 또는 에폭시기이다.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 단량체가 하기 화학식 1a로 표시되는 것인 액정 표시 장치<화학식 1a>상기 식 중,P1및 P2는 각각 독립적으로 아크릴레이트, 메타크릴레이트, 비닐, 비닐옥시 또는 에폭시기이다.
- 제4항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, P1및 P2가 아크릴레이트기인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 단량체가 화학식로 표시되는 것인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 조성물이 음의 유전율 이방성을 나타내는 것인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전압을 인가하지 않았을 때의 액정 분자의 방향이 기판에 대하여 대략 수직 방향인 액정 표시 장치.
