Description

Claims (42)
- 下記を具備する、複数のセグメントに分割された動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるスケジューリングの方法:
前記基地局または前記端末の受信機により経験されるチャネル特性に基づいて動作周波数帯域内の各セグメントに関するチャネル推定値を決定し、送信されるデータのユーザデータ制約に基づいて、前記チャネル推定値のうちで最良のチャネル特性を有する好適セグメントとしてセグメントプリファレンスを決定する;
前記好適セグメント内のサブキャリアのサブセットを特定の通信リンクに割り当てる。 - 前記複数のセグメントは、動作帯域幅の実質的な部分をカバーする複数のサブキャリアの不連続サブセットを有する少なくとも1つのグローバルセグメントを備える、請求項1の方法。
- 前記複数のセグメントはさらに複数のローカルセグメントを備え、各ローカルセグメントは、任意の他のローカルセグメントまたはグローバルセグメントと異なる前記複数のサブキャリアのサブセットを有する、請求項2の方法。
- 前記複数のセグメントは複数のローカルセグメントを備え、各ローカルセグメントは前記複数のサブキャリアの異なるサブセットを有し、各ローカルセグメントは、合計帯域幅未満の帯域幅を有する、請求項1の方法。
- 前記複数のローカルセグメントは実質的に等価な帯域幅を有する、請求項4の方法。
- 前記複数のローカルセグメントの各々は、16サブキャリアの倍数を備える、請求項4の方法。
- 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することは、パイロット信号を解析して前記複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル特性を決定することと、前記セグメントチャネル特性の比較に基づいて好適セグメントを選択することとを備えた、請求項1の方法。
- 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することは下記を具備する、請求項1の方法:
前記受信機と同一場所に配置された送信機から発生され送信されたリバースリンクパイロット信号を受信する;
前記複数のセグメントの少なくとも2つに対応するチャネル特性を決定する;
一部分前記チャネル特性上のセグメントベースを選択する。 - 前記チャネルプリファレンスを決定することは前記セグメントプリファレンスを示す前記受信機から報告メッセージを受信することを備えた、請求項1の方法。
- 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することは、リバースリンクパイロット信号に基づいて前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することを備え、
前記サブキャリアのサブセットを割り当てることは、前記キャリアのサブセットをリバースリンク通信に割り当てることを備えた、請求項1の方法。 - 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することはリバースリンクパイロット信号に基づいて前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することを備え、
前記サブキャリアのサブセットを割り当てることは、前記キャリアのサブセットをフォワードリンク通信に割り当てることを備えた、請求項1の方法。 - 前記サブキャリアのサブセットを割り当てることは、フォワードリンク送信においてデータストリームを前記サブキャリアのサブセットにマッピングすることを備えた、請求項1の方法。
- 前記サブキャリアのサブセットを割り当てることは、前記サブキャリアのサブセットの少なくとも1つを識別する受信機に割り当てメッセージを送信することを備えた、請求項1の方法。
- 前記好適セグメント内で周波数ホッピングスキームを実行することをさらに備えた、請求項1の方法。
- 下記を具備する、複数のセグメントに分割された動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるスケジューリングの方法:
ユーザーデータ制約を決定する;
前記ユーザーデータ制約が合計帯域幅より大きいデータ帯域幅要件を含むなら、前記動作帯域の実質的な部分をカバーするサブキャリアの不連続サブセットを有するグローバルセグメントからサブキャリアを割り当てる;
前記基地局または端末の受信機により経験されるチャネル特性に基づいて前記動作帯域内の各セグメントに関するチャネル推定値を決定し、前記データ帯域幅要件が前記合計帯域幅より大きくなければ、送信されるデータの前記ユーザデータ制約に基づいて、前記チャネル推定値のうちで最良のチャネル特性を有する好適セグメントとしてセグメントプリファレンスを決定することであって、前記好適ローカルセグメントは、複数のローカルセグメントから選択され、前記複数のローカルセグメントの各々は前記合計帯域幅未満の帯域幅を有する;
前記好適ローカルセグメント内のサブキャリアのサブセットを通信リンクに割り当てる。 - 前記グローバルセグメントは、前記動作帯域幅の少なくとも1/2をカバーするサブキャリアを含む、請求項15の方法。
- 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することは下記を具備する、請求項15の方法:
受信されたパイロット信号を解析し、前記複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル特性を決定する;
前記複数のセグメントの各々に対応する前記チャネル特性を比較する;
最大の信号対雑音比(SNR)値に対応するセグメントを選択する。 - 前記セグメントプリファレンスを決定することは、前記セグメントプリファレンスを示す報告メッセージを受信することを備えた、請求項15の方法。
- 下記を具備する、動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるスケジューリングのための装置:
パイロット信号に基づいて前記動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル推定値を決定するように構成されたチャネル推定器であって、前記セグメントの各々は合計帯域幅未満の帯域幅を有する;
前記通信システムにおいて前記複数のサブキャリアのサブセットにデータストリームをマップするように構成されたシグナルマッパー;
前記チャネル推定器に接続され、前記チャネル推定値および送信されるデータのユーザデータ制約に基づいて第1の好適セグメントを決定し、前記第1の好適セグメント内から前記複数のサブキャリアのサブセットを選択し、前記シグナルマッパーを制御してデータシンボルを前記複数のサブキャリアのサブセットにマップするように構成されたスケジューラー。 - リバースリンクパイロット信号を受信するように構成された受信機モジュールをさらに備え、前記スケジューラーは、前記リバースリンクパイロット信号に基づいてフォワードリンク送信のために前記複数のサブキャリアのサブセットを選択するように構成される、請求項19の装置。
- 前記パイロット信号はリバースリンクパイロット信号を備え、前記スケジューラーは、前記チャネル推定値に基づいてユーザー端末に送信するためにリバースリンクリソース割り当てメッセージを発生するように構成される、請求項19の装置。
- 前記スケジューラーは、前記パイロット信号から決定された最大信号対雑音比を有するセグメントとして前記第1の好適セグメントを選択するように構成される、請求項19の装置。
- 受信機モジュールに接続され受信機により受信されたチャネル特性報告メッセージを処理し、第2の好適セグメントを決定するように構成され、さらにチャネル特性報告メッセージに基づいてリソース割り当てメッセージを発生するように構成されたチャネル品質インジケーター(CQI)受信機をさらに備えた、請求項19の装置。
- 前記第1の好適セグメント内で周波数ホッピングスキームを実行するように構成された周波数ホッパーモジュールをさらに備えた、請求項19の装置。
- 下記を具備する、動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるチャネルセンシティブスケジューリングのための装置:
リバースリンクパイロットおよび少なくとも1つのチャネル特性報告メッセージを受信するように構成された受信機モジュール;
前記受信機モジュールと接続され、前記リバースリンクパイロット信号に基づいて、動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル特性を決定するように構成されたスケジューラーであって、前記セグメントの各々は合計帯域幅未満の帯域幅を有し、前記スケジューラーは、前記チャネル特性および送信されるデータのユーザデータ制約に基づいてリバースリンクリソース割り当てを決定するように構成され、さらに前記少なくとも1つのチャネル特性報告メッセージに基づいてフォワードリンクリソース割り当てを決定するように構成される。 - 前記チャネル特性は、信号対雑音比(SNR)値を備えた、請求項25の装置。
- 前記チャネル特性は、干渉値を備えた、請求項25の装置。
- 前記スケジューラーに接続され、前記フォワードリンクリソース割り当てに従ってフォワードリンクサブキャリアにデータシンボルをマップするように構成されたシグナルマッパーをさらに備えた、請求項25の装置。
- 前記スケジューラーは、前記コヒーレントチャネル帯域幅より大きい帯域幅を要求するチャネルのための動作周波数帯域の実質的な部分をカバーする前記複数のサブキャリアの不連続サブセットを備えたグローバルセグメントに対応するサブキャリアを割り当てるように構成される、請求項25の装置。
- 下記を具備する、動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるチャネルセンシティブスケジューリングのための装置:
受信機により経験されるチャネル特性および送信されるデータのユーザデータ制約に基づいて動作帯域の少なくとも一部分を実質的にカバーする複数のセグメントからの好適セグメントを示すチャネルプリファレンスを決定する手段;
前記好適セグメント内のサブキャリアのサブセットを特定の通信リンクに割り当てる手段。 - 前記チャネルプリファレンスは下記を具備する請求項30の装置:
パイロット信号を受信する手段;
前記複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル特性を決定する手段;
前記チャネル特性に基づいて前記チャネルプリファレンスを選択する手段。 - 前記チャネルプリファレンスを決定する手段は、前記チャネルプリファレンスを示すチャネル報告メッセージを受信する手段を備えた、請求項30の装置。
- 下記を具備する、動作周波数帯域をカバーする複数のサブキャリアを含む通信システムにおいて基地局または端末の少なくとも1つにおけるチャネル特性を報告する方法:
パイロット信号を受信する;
前記動作帯域をカバーする複数のセグメントの各々に対応するチャネル特性を決定することであって、各セグメントはコヒーレントチャネル帯域幅未満の帯域幅を有する;
受信機により経験されるチャネル特性および送信されるデータのユーザデータ制約に基づいて前記複数のセグメントから好適セグメントを決定する;
前記好適セグメントに対応する前記チャネル特性を報告しきい値と比較する;
前記好適セグメントに対応する前記チャネル特性が前記報告しきい値を超えるなら、前記好適セグメントに基づいて報告メッセージを発生する。 - 前記報告メッセージをスケジューラーに送信することをさらに備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記パイロット信号はフォワードリンクパイロット信号を備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記チャネル特性は信号対雑音比(SNR)を備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記チャネル特性は干渉値を備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記チャネル特性は、パイロット信号強度を備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記好適セグメントを決定することは最大信号対雑音比に対応するセグメントを選択することを備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記好適セグメントを決定することは、最小干渉値に対応するセグメントを選択することを備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記好適セグメントに対応する前記チャネル特性を前記報告しきい値と比較することは、前記好適セグメントに対応する信号対雑音比が所定量だけ平均SNR比を超えるかどうかを決定することを備えた、請求項33の方法。
- 前記好適セグメントに対応する前記チャネル特性を前記報告しきい値と比較することは下記を具備する、請求項33の方法:
スケジューラーから微分値を受信する;
前記好適セグメントに対応する信号対雑音比が前記微分値だけ平均SNR比を超えるかどうかを決定する。
