Description
1.発明の分野
一般に本発明は、炭化水素を含有した層など地下の様々な層から炭化水素、水素、及び/又は他の生成物を産出するための方法及びシステムに関する。特に、特定の態様は、現場変換プロセス中に層の一部を加熱するための閉ループ循環システムの使用に関する。
地下の層から得られる炭化水素は、しばしばエネルギー資源、供給原料、及び消費者製品として用いられる。利用可能な炭化水素資源の枯渇の問題や、製造された炭化水素の品質全体の低下の問題から、利用可能な炭化水素資源について更に効率的な回収、処理及び/又は使用が開発されてきた。現場で炭化水素物質を地下の層から取り出すプロセスを用いてもよい。炭化水素物質を更に容易に地下の層から取り出すために、地下の層中の炭化水素物質の化学的及び/又は物理的な特性を変える必要があるかもしれない。化学的及び物理的な変化としては、取り出し可能な流体を生成する現場での反応、層中の炭化水素物質についての組成変化、溶解度の変化、密度変化、相変化、及び/又は粘性変化が挙げられる。限定するものではないが、流体は、気体、液体、乳濁液、懸濁液、及び/又は液体流に類似の流れ特性を有する固体粒子の流れとし得る。
一般に、ここに記載の態様は、液体伝熱流体を用いて配管に通し層中の1以上の処理領域を加熱することによって、例えば炭化水素を含有した層(以下「炭化水素含有層」ともいう)などの地下の種々の層から炭化水素、水素、及び/又は他の生成物を産出するシステム及び/又は方法に関する。

Claims (22)
- 地下の層から炭化水素を産出するための現場熱処理システムであって、
前記層中の複数の坑井;
前記坑井のうち少なくとも2つの中に配置された配管;
前記配管に連結された流体循環システム;及び
前記層の温度を前記層からの炭化水素の産出ができる温度に加熱するために前記流体循環システムにより前記配管を通って循環させる液体の伝熱流体を加熱するよう構成された熱供給源;
を備える現場熱処理システム。 - 前記熱供給源が原子炉を含む請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記熱供給源がガス燃焼炉を含む請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記伝熱流体が溶融塩を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記伝熱流体が溶融金属を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記配管中に配置された1以上の電気ヒーターを更に備え、前記電気ヒーターが前記配管中の液体の伝熱流体の凝固を防止するのに必要な熱の少なくとも一部を初期に提供するよう構成されている請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 更に1以上の導体が前記配管に結合され、前記導体が、前記配管中の液体伝熱流体の凝固を防止するのに必要な熱の少なくとも一部を初期に提供するために、前記配管に電気を流して前記配管を抵抗加熱するよう構成されている請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記循環システムが溶融塩を地表に戻すよう構成されたガスリフトシステムを備える請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 地下の層を加熱する方法であって、
熱供給源との熱交換を用いて液体の伝熱流体を加熱する段階;
前記層から炭化水素を産出可能にするために、前記液体の伝熱流体を前記層中の配管に通して循環させて前記層の一部を加熱する段階;及び
前記層から炭化水素を産出する段階;
を含む方法。 - 前記熱供給源が原子炉を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の伝熱流体が溶融塩を含む請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- ガスリフトシステムを用いて前記液体の伝熱流体を地表に戻す段階を更に含む請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 1以上の電気ヒーターを用いて前記配管中の溶融塩の凝固を防止するのに十分な温度に前記配管を加熱する段階を更に含む請求項9〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 1以上の電気ヒーターを用いて前記配管を加熱する段階が、前記配管に電流を流して前記配管を抵抗加熱することからなる請求項13に記載の方法。
- 1以上の電気ヒーターを用いて前記配管を加熱する段階が、前記配管の1以上の部分の中に絶縁導体ヒーターを配置し前記絶縁導体ヒーターを加熱して前記配管を加熱することからなる請求項13に記載の方法。
- 地下の層を加熱する方法であって、
液体の伝熱流体を容器から熱交換器に送る段階;
前記液体の伝熱流体を第1の温度に加熱する段階;
前記液体の伝熱流体をヒーター領域に通して水溜めに流す段階であって、その際に熱が前記ヒーター領域から前記層中の処理領域に移動する段階;
前記液体の伝熱流体を前記水溜めから地表にガスリフトさせる段階;及び
前記液体の伝熱流体の少なくとも一部を前記容器に戻す段階;
を含む方法。 - 前記液体の伝熱流体が溶融塩を含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の伝熱流体をガスリフトさせるのに用いられる流体が二酸化炭素を含む請求項16〜17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の伝熱流体をガスリフトさせるのに用いられる流体がメタンを含む請求項16〜18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の伝熱流体を前記水溜めから導管を通してガスリフトさせ、また、前記導管中の液体の伝熱流体の凝固を防止するために前記導管を加熱することを更に含む請求項16〜19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記熱交換器が1以上のガスバーナーを含む請求項16〜20のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記熱交換器が原子炉により作られた高温の流れから熱を移動させるよう構成されたチューブ・イン・シェル型熱交換器からなる請求項16〜21のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
