Abstract

Se proporcionan compuestos de catalizador cuyo material catalítico es eficaz para oxidar sustancialmente de forma simultánea monóxido de carbono e hidrocarburos y reducir óxidos de nitrógeno. Los compuestos de catalizador tienen una capa de dos metales en un portador, la cual capa de dos metales comprende un componente de rodio sostenido por un primer soporte que comprende un componente de óxido metálico refractario o un primer compuesto de ceria-circonia; un componente de paladio sostenido por un segundo soporte que comprende un segundo compuesto de ceria-circonia; uno o más de un promotor, un estabilizador o un aglutinante; en donde la cantidad del total del primer compuesto y el segundo compuesto de ceria-circonia en la capa de dos metales es igual o mayor que la cantidad del componente de óxido metálico refractario.
