本出願は、全体的に参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる、2015年11月24日出願の米国特許仮出願第62/259,524号の利益を主張するものである。
図4A~図4Dに示されているように、眼内レンズ1000は、光学系1004およびマスク1012を含む。光学系1004は、光学的に透過する材料から形成され得、マスク1012は不透明な材料から形成され得る。光学系1004は、回転非対称パワーなどの屈折誤差、たとえば乱視を矯正するために、屈折素子100を含むことができる。光学系1004は、屈折素子100に加えて、IOL1000の視力性能全体を改善するために他の構造体を含むことができる。
図5Aは、マスク2034aを示し、このマスク2034aは、実質的にマスク2034aの中心に配置されている開口2038aを囲んだ環状領域2036aを有する。環状領域2036aの前面は、環状領域2036aの外周から内周への曲率を有することができ、環状領域2036aの後面は、類似の曲率を有することができる。図5Bは、マスク2034bが、いくつかの実施形態では、平坦である場合もあることを示している。マスク2034bは、実質的にマスク2034bの光学軸2039bを中心とする開口2038bを囲んだ環状領域2036bを含むことができる。後述の特徴は、マスク2034aに関して説明するが、特徴のうちの1つまたは複数が、マスク2034bに適用可能である。
図7上列は、21ディオプタ(diopter)の単焦点IOLの光学的性能のZemax光学的シミュレーションである。このシミュレーションにおいては、角膜異常が矯正され、シミュレーションは、3mmの瞳孔を有する現実的な多色模型眼を仮定している。最左マスは、0ディオプタ焦点ぼけの視力度(visual acuity)を示している。例示の視力度は、20/20またはその上位において許容可能である。左から2番目のマスは、最左マスにおいて使用された同じレンズおよび模型を使用している-0.5ディオプタ焦点ぼけの視力度を示している。性能は低下しているが、閾値視力度レベルは依然として約20/20であることがわかる。左から3番目のマスは、最左マスを生成する際に使用された同じレンズおよびシミュレーション模型を使用している-1.0ディオプタ焦点ぼけの視力度を示している。このマスには、いずれのレベルの視力度も記録されず、したがって、IOLは、このより大きい焦点ぼけ量ではまったく効果がないことがわかる。

Claims (14)
- 第1のパワーを有する第1の曲率と、前記第1のパワーよりも大きい第2のパワーを有する第2の曲率とを有する面を含む屈折素子であって、前記第1のパワーおよび前記第2のパワーの大きさ、ならびに前記第1の曲率および前記第2の曲率の場所が、ヒトの眼における乱視を矯正するように構成されている、屈折素子と、
マスクであって、前記マスクの環状領域による光のかなりの部分の通過を遮断し、前記マスクの中央開口による光のかなりの部分の通過を可能にして、乱視矯正可能な回転配置ずれ範囲を増大させるように構成されている、マスクと
を備え、
前記乱視矯正可能な回転配置ずれ範囲が、-15度内から15度内にまで及ぶ、眼内レンズ。 - 前記マスクが、前記マスクを組み込んだ光学系の面と結合されている、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記マスクが、前記光学系の前記面に前記マスクを配置するために前記眼と結合するように構成されたピギーバックIOL(intraocular lens:眼内レンズ)上に形成される、請求項2に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記マスクが、前記屈折素子を含む光学系に埋め込まれている、請求項1~3の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記マスクが、2.8mm未満の直径を有する開口を含む、請求項1~4の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記マスクが、前記屈折素子を含む光学系に前記マスクを固定するために前記環状領域を貫通して配置される複数の小さい穴を含む、請求項1~5の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記マスクは、略円形である請求項1~6の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記屈折素子は、回転配置特徴を有する請求項1~7の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記眼内レンズは円柱の0.0ディオプタから-1.5ディオプタまでの同じ視力度レベルを維持するように構成されている請求項1~8の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記眼内レンズは円柱の0.0ディオプタから+1.5ディオプタまでの同じ視力度レベルを維持するように構成されている請求項1~9の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記眼内レンズは焦点ぼけの0.0ディオプタから-2.0ディオプタまでの同じ視力度レベルを維持するように構成されている請求項1~10の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記眼内レンズは焦点ぼけの0.0ディオプタから+2.0ディオプタまでの同じ視力度レベルを維持するように構成されている請求項1~11の何れか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- ヒトの眼における乱視に対処するように適合されており、トーリック構成を含む屈折素子と、
マスクであって、前記マスクの環状領域による光の通過を防止し、前記マスクの中央開口による光の通過を可能にして、焦点深度を増加させ、前記眼の中の回転配置ずれに対する許容範囲を-15度から15度にまで増加させるように構成されている、マスクと
