なる関係によって与えられ、本明細書においてλ/2位相板と称される。また、本明細書において、ステップの高さを、その位相高さによって表すことができる。例えば、式(1)によって与えられるステップ高さhstepは、λ/2位相ステップ高さと称される。当業者であれば理解できるとおり、λ/2位相板が、位相板によって回折される全体の光の約40%をそれぞれ含んでいるゼロ次および1次の回折次数を生み出すために使用される。この種の位相板を、ステップ高さが設計波長λの0.5倍の光学経路長の差に相当することを表して、MODが0.5である位相板と称することができる。

なる関係によって与えられるステップ高さが、入射光26のエネルギーの事実上100%が位相板23の1次の回折次数へと回折され、したがって近傍の焦点34へと回折される単焦点のIOLをもたらす。この種の位相板を、ステップ高さが設計波長λの1倍の光学経路長の差に相当することを表して、MODが1である位相板と称することができる。

Claims (30)
- 前面、後面、および光軸を有する光学系と、
第1の屈折光パワーを有するとともに、(1)有限の第1の曲率半径を有する第1のベース曲率と、(2)第1の回折光パワーを伴った第1の回折次数を有している多焦点の位相板とを備え、第1の焦点および第2の焦点を形成するように構成されている第1の領域と、
第2の屈折光パワーを有するとともに、(1)第1の曲率半径とは異なる有限の第2の曲率半径を有する第2のベース曲率と、(2)第2の回折光パワーを伴った第1の回折次数を有している単焦点の位相板とを備え、第3の焦点を形成するように構成されている第2の領域と、
を備え、
前記第1の領域が光学系の中央に配置され、前記第2の領域が前記第1の領域の外側に配置されていること、もしくは前記第2の領域が光学系の中央に配置され、前記第1の領域が前記第2の領域の外側に配置されていることを特徴とする眼用レンズ。 - 第1および第2のベース曲率の少なくとも一方が球面である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 第1および第2のベース曲率の少なくとも一方の形状が非球面である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- ベース曲率のうちの少なくとも1つが非対称な形状である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- ベース曲率のうちの少なくとも1つが、放物線、楕円、または双曲線の形状である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板および前記多焦点の位相板の両者が、光学系の同じ面に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板および前記多焦点の位相板が、光学系の両表面に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板および前記単焦点の位相板の少なくとも一方が、自身の表面を横切って変化する屈折率を有している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 表面を横切っての屈折率の変化が、光学系の中心からの半径方向である、ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 位相板の少なくとも一方が位相ホログラムである、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の屈折光パワーが前記第1の回折光パワーよりも大きく、前記第2の屈折光パワーが前記第2の回折光パワーよりも大きい、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板が2焦点の位相板である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板が、MODが0.5である位相板、またはMODが1.5である位相板である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板が、MODが1である位相板、またはMODが2である位相板である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板が、MODがx.5である位相板であり、前記単焦点の位相板が、MODがy.0である位相板であって、xおよびyが整数である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 第1の焦点および第3の焦点が実質的に同じ位置に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 第2の焦点および第3の焦点が実質的に同じ位置に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 第3の位相板を備える中間領域をさらに備え、該中間領域が、前記単焦点の位相板と前記多焦点の位相板との間に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 第3の屈折光パワーを有し、第3の位相板を備えている第3の領域をさらに有し、該第3の領域が光学系の中央に配置され、前記第1および第2の領域が該第3の領域の外側に配置されていること、もしくは該第3の領域が前記第1と第2の領域の間に配置されていること、もしくは該第3の領域が前記第1および第2の領域の外側に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第2の曲率半径が前記第1の曲率半径よりも大きい、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板が、MODが0.5である位相板、またはMODが1である位相板である、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の焦点が、前記多焦点の位相板のゼロ次の回折次数に対応し、前記第2の焦点が、前記多焦点の位相板の第1の回折次数に対応し、前記第3の焦点が、前記単焦点の位相板の第1の回折次数に対応している、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の焦点が遠見視力をもたらし、前記第2の焦点が近見視力または中距離視力をもたらす、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第2のベース曲率が、前記第1の焦点および前記第3の焦点が実質的に同じ位置に配置されるように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第2のベース曲率が、前記第3の焦点が前記第1の焦点と第2の焦点との間に配置されるように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の焦点が遠見視力をもたらし、前記第2の焦点が近見視力をもたらし、前記第3の焦点が中距離視力をもたらす、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記多焦点の位相板が前記第2の焦点における色収差を調節するように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板が前記第3の焦点における色収差を調節するように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板、第2のベース曲率、または両方が、前記第1の領域によって生み出される第1の焦点および第2の焦点の少なくとも一方における収差を調節するように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記単焦点の位相板、第2のベース曲率、または両方が、第1の領域によって生み出される第1の焦点および第2の焦点の少なくとも一方における色収差を調節するように構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の眼用レンズ。
