Description
本発明の開示は、皮下の脂質豊富細胞と熱を交換するための装置、システム、及び方法を説明する。用語「皮下組織」は、真皮の下に重なる組織を意味し、アディポサイト(脂肪細胞)及び皮下脂肪を含む。以下に示す詳細のいくつかは、開示した実施形態を当業者が作って用いることを可能にするのに十分な方法で以下の実施形態を説明するために提供されることが認められるであろう。しかし、以下に説明する詳細及び利点のいくつかは、本発明のある一定の実施形態を実施するのに必要でない場合がある。更に、本発明は、特許請求の範囲内であるが図1−7に関して詳細に説明されていない他の実施形態を含むことができる。
図1は、本発明の実施形態による被験者101の皮下の脂質豊富細胞から熱を交換するためのシステム100の等角投影図である。システム100は、被験者101の皮下の脂質豊富細胞から熱を交換するための、被験者101の腹部102又は別の適切な部位に設けられた冷却装置104を含むことができる。冷却装置104は、例えば、機械的留め具(例えば、ベルト105)、接着剤(例えば、エポキシ)、吸引(例えば、真空又は減圧)、又はあらゆる他の機構を用いて被験者101に締結することができる。冷却装置104は、被験者101を加熱及び/又は冷却するように構成することができる。冷却装置104の様々な実施形態は、図2−7を参照して以下でより詳細に説明する。
図2Aは、本発明の一実施形態によりシステム100の用途に適切な冷却装置104の部分分解等角投影図である。この実施形態では、冷却装置104は、熱交換部材130及び熱交換部材130に取り付けられた感知装置132を含む。冷却装置104は、一般的に手動で位置決めされるように構成され、及び/又はそれは、革ひもで縛るか又は他の方法で被験者101に取外し可能に取り付けられるように構成することができる。感知装置132は、冷却装置104と被験者101の皮膚とのインタフェースでパラメータを測定するように構成される。
図3は、システム100に用いるための本発明の一例による冷却装置104の代替的な実施例である。この代替的な実施例及び本明細書に説明する代替的な実施例並びに他の代替物は、前に説明した実施例とほぼ同じであり、共通の作用及び構造は、同じ参照番号によって特定されている。作動及び構造の重要な相違点だけを以下に説明する。この実施例では、冷却装置104は、第1のスリーブ部分164及び第2のスリーブ部分166を有するスリーブ162を含む。第1のスリーブ部分164は、構造及び機能が図2の感知装置132とほぼ同じとすることができる。第2のスリーブ部分166は、第1のスリーブ部分164から延びる絶縁層とすることができる。例えば、第2のスリーブ部分166は、ラテックス、ゴム、ナイロン、「Kevlar(登録商標)」、又は他の実質的に不透過性又は半透過性材料から構成することができる。第2のスリーブ部分は、被験者の皮膚と熱交換部材130との間のあらゆる接触を防止することができる。一実施例では、スリーブ162は、再利用することができる。他の実施例では、スリーブ162は、使い捨てとすることができる。スリーブ162は、殺菌又は非殺菌状態で設けることができる。
図4は、感知装置132のいくつかの特徴をより詳細に示す正面図、図5は背面図である。第1の温度センサ148は、第1の金属トレース180及び第1の金属トレース180から離間した第2の金属トレース182を含むことができる。第1の金属トレース180は、第1の終端部分186aを含み、第2の金属トレース182は、第2の終端部分186bを含む。第1及び第2の金属トレース180、182は、一端で接合してバイメタル接点184を形成する。例示的実施形態では、第1及び第2の金属トレース180、182は、互いにほぼ平行である。他の実施例では、第1及び第2の金属トレース180、182は、ある一定の角度を有することができる。
図7は、処理ユニット114(図1)の用途に適切な例示的ソフトウエアモジュール440を示す機能ブロック図を示している。各構成要素は、C++プログラム言語のような従来のプログラム言語のソースコードとして書かれたコンピュータプログラム、手順、又は処理とすることができ、プロセッサ442のCPUによる実行のために呈示することができる。ソースコード並びにオブジェクト及びバイトコードの様々な実施は、コンピュータ可読記憶媒体上に記憶されるか、又は搬送波内の伝送媒体上に組み込むことができる。プロセッサ442のモジュールは、入力モジュール444、データベースモジュール446、処理モジュール448、出力モジュール450、及び任意的に表示モジュール451を含むことができる。別の実施形態では、ソフトウエアモジュール440は、分散コンピューティング手法におけるネットワークサーバのCPUによる実行のために呈示することができる。

Claims (30)
- 皮膚を有する被験者の皮下の脂質豊富細胞から熱を除去するための装置であって、
脂質豊富細胞は実質的に影響を受けるが、表皮の非脂質豊富細胞が実質的に影響を受けないように該脂質豊富細胞から熱を除去する被験者の皮膚との熱伝導インタフェースを形成するように構成された熱移送面を有する熱交換部材と、
前記熱交換部材と被験者の皮膚との間の前記インタフェースに配置され、該インタフェースでパラメータを感知するように構成された実質的に可撓性の感知装置と、
を含み、
前記感知装置は、該感知装置の第1の表面上に沿って配置された第1の温度センサと、該第1の表面の反対側にある第2の表面に沿って配置された第2の温度センサとを有することを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第1の温度センサは、熱交換部材に接触することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記可撓性の感知装置は、該装置以外の他の要素に貼付又は接着されるよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感知装置は、更に、前記熱交換部材と被験者の皮膚との間の熱移送を実質的に妨げることなく前記インタフェースでパラメータを感知するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載に装置。
- 前記熱交換部材上に取外し可能に保持されるように構成され、前記感知素子が中に組み込まれた熱伝導スリーブを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感知装置は、温度センサであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感知装置は、基板及び該基板上に配置された温度センサを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記温度センサは、前記基板上に配置された第1及び第2の金属トレースを含み、該第1及び第2の金属トレースは、少なくとも部分的に互いに接触してバイメタル接点を形成することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記感知装置は、前記熱移送面に対応する第1の表面と、該第1の表面の反対側で、かつ被験者の皮膚に対応する第2の表面とを含み、
第1のセンサが、前記第1の表面上に配置され、第2のセンサが、前記第2の表面上に配置されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記感知装置は、圧力センサ及び温度センサを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感知装置によって測定された前記インタフェースの温度に基づいて被験者の皮膚及び/又は前記熱交換部材の温度を制御するように構成された論理コントローラを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記熱交換部材上の領域で前記インタフェースに関する温度情報を提供するように構成された複数の感知装置を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 皮膚を有する被験者と冷却装置の間の熱移送インタフェースのパラメータを測定するための感知装置であって、
被験者の皮膚と冷却装置の間の熱移送インタフェースに位置決めされ、かつ該冷却装置に面する表面を有する実質的に可撓性の基板と、
前記基板の前記表面上に配置され、かつ前記冷却装置と被験者の皮膚との間の熱移送を実質的に妨げることなく前記熱移送インタフェースの温度を測定するように構成された可撓性センサと、
を含み、
前記センサは、該センサの第1の表面上に沿って配置された第1の温度センサと、該第1の表面の反対側にある第2の表面に沿って配置された第2の温度センサとを有することを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第1の温度センサは、熱交換部材に接触することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記熱移送インタフェースは、被験者の皮膚の前記脂質豊富細胞から、該脂質豊富細胞は実質的に影響を受けるが、表皮の非脂質豊富細胞が実質的に影響を受けないように熱を除去するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の感知装置。
- 前記センサは、温度センサであることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、J、K、T、E、N、R、S、U、及びB型から成る群から選択された熱電対型を含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、第1の金属部分と該第1の金属部分から離間した第2の金属部分とを含み、該第1及び第2の金属部分は、バイメタル接点を形成していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、前記基板上にスパッタされるか、エッチングされるか、又は印刷された2つの金属フィルムを含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、第1の温度センサであり、前記表面は、第1の表面であり、
前記基板は、前記第1の表面の反対側の第2の表面を更に含み、
前記第2の表面上に配置された第2の温度センサ、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の感知装置。 - 前記基板上に配置された圧力センサを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、前記基板上に配置されたサーミスタ、抵抗温度検出器、又は熱電対列のうちの1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の感知装置。
- 前記温度センサは、金属箔型抵抗温度検出器であることを特徴とする請求項22に記載の感知装置。
- 実質的に可撓性であり、かつ少なくとも部分的に冷却装置と共形の感知装置が前記冷却装置に近接して配置され、前記感知装置を位置決めする熱移送インタフェースが前記冷却装置及び被験者の皮膚によって形成されるように、被験者の皮膚に近接して該冷却装置及び該感知装置が位置決めされており、前記感知装置の第1の表面上に沿って配置された第1の温度センサと、該第1の表面の反対側にある第2の表面に沿って配置された第2の温度センサとを有する感知装置における、冷却装置の動作方法であって、
前記感知装置が、前記熱移送インタフェースのパラメータを測定する段階と、
前記冷却装置に接続されている電源が、脂質豊富細胞は実質的に影響を受けるが、表皮の非脂質豊富細胞が実質的に影響を受けないように、該表皮下の被験者の皮膚の領域から熱を除去する前記冷却装置に電圧を供給する段階と、
を含み、
前記感知装置は、前記冷却装置に面する第1の表面と該第1の表面の反対側の第2の表面とを有する基板を含み、
前記感知装置は、更に、前記第1の表面上に配置された第1の温度センサ及び前記第2の表面上に配置された第2の温度センサを含み、
方法は、さらに、
前記第1の温度センサが前記冷却装置の温度を測定する段階と、
前記第2の温度センサが被験者の皮膚の温度を測定する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記脂質豊富細胞は、アディポサイトであることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。
- 前記冷却装置が前記熱移送インタフェースの測定されたパラメータに基づいて被験者の皮膚から前記冷却装置への熱除去の速度を制御する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。
- 前記冷却装置が前記熱移送インタフェースの測定された温度に基づいて該熱移送インタフェースの温度を維持する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。
- 前記熱移送インタフェースの測定された温度が特定のターゲット範囲外である場合には、温度警報を表示する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。
- 前記感知装置は、前記冷却装置及び前記感知装置が被験者の皮膚に押し付けられたときに前記冷却装置と前記被験者の皮膚との間の圧力を測定する圧力センサを更に含み、
前記測定された圧力が圧力閾値未満でない場合には、前記冷却装置と被験者の皮膚との間の接触が十分であることを表示する段階と、
前記測定された圧力が前記圧力閾値未満である場合には、前記冷却装置と被験者の皮膚との間の接触が不十分であることを表示する段階と、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。 - 前記感知装置は、スリーブ内に組み込まれており、前記冷却装置は、被験者の皮膚から前記スリーブによって分離されることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の冷却装置の動作方法。
