Claims (27)
- コンピュータに信号を入力し、ユーザに力を出力する、触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置において、
前記ユーザが接触するタッチ面上の位置に基づき前記コンピュータの処理部に位置信号を入力するために操作可能なタッチ面を含むタッチ式入力装置と、
前記タッチ式入力装置に接続された少なくとも1つのアクチュエータと、を備え、
前記アクチュエータは、前記タッチ面に接触している前記ユーザに触覚による感覚を与えるために、前記タッチ面に表示されているボタンが接触されていることを示す信号が所定レベルに達したときにボタン押下を示す第1の単一不連続波形により前記タッチ面を動かし、当該信号が前記所定レベルから一定レベル低下したときにボタン解除を示す第2の単一不連続波形により前記タッチ面を動かす前記力を出力する、触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。 - 前記第1の単一不連続波形と前記第2の単一不連続波形とは、互いに異なる、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記第1の単一不連続波形と前記第2の単一不連続波形とは、実質的に互いに同一である、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記単一不連続波形は、対称形である、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記単一不連続波形は、非対称形である、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記タッチ面は、タッチスクリーンである、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記タッチ面は、タッチパッドである、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記接触は、オペレータの身体部分によって生じる、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバック制御装置。
- 前記接触は、オペレータによって操作されるスタイラスペンによって生じる、請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 請求項1に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置において、
前記アクチュエータは、
第1の要素に装着可能な取付け構造を有する第1の構造要素と、
第2の要素に装着可能な取付け構造を有する第2の構造要素と、
前記第1の構造要素を前記第2の構造要素に接続している第1のバイアス要素と、
前記第1の構造要素によって設けられた、第1のポール部を含む第1の磁気装置と、
前記第2の構造要素によって設けられた、第2のポール部を含む第2の磁気装置と、
前記第1のポール部および前記第2のポール部のうち少なくとも1つに配された第1のコイルと、を備え、
前記第1のバイアス要素は、
電流が前記第1のコイルに流れ、前記第1のコイルに流れた電流により触覚効果が前記第2の要素と第1の要素との間に生成される場合に、前記第1のポール部と前記第2のポール部との両方を駆動する磁気吸引力に抗するバイアス力を与えるように配置される、触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。 - 前記第2の磁気装置は、少なくとも1つの前記第1のポール部および前記第2のポール部の近辺に配置された第2のコイルを含む、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 電流が前記第1のコイルに流れる場合に、
前記第1のポール部と前記第2のポール部との両方を駆動する磁気吸引力に抗するバイアス力を与えるように配置される第2のバイアス要素を、さらに備える、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。 - 前記第1のバイアス要素は、バネからなる、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記第1のバイアス要素は、エラストマー要素からなる、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記第1のバイアス要素は、発泡体材料からなる、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。
- 前記第1の構造要素および第2の構造要素と前記第1のバイアス要素は、同じ材料から全て形成され、
前記第1のバイアス要素は、前記第1の構造要素および前記第2の構造要素より薄く形成されることで、振動時に自在に変形する、請求項10に記載の触覚フィードバックタッチ制御装置。 - タッチ面によって伝えられる触覚フィードバックを利用するボタン押下をシミュレートする方法において、
前記タッチ面に表示されているボタンとの接触を検出し、
前記接触を示す信号が所定レベルに達したときにボタン押下を示す第1の単一不連続波形により前記タッチ面を動作させ、
当該信号が前記所定レベルから一定レベル低下したときにボタン解除を示す第2の単一不連続波形により前記タッチ面を動作させる方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法において、
前記動作は、
前記接触に応答する第1の信号を生成する段階と、
前記第1の信号を処理部に送信する段階と、
前記第1の信号に応答する触覚出力用電流信号を発生させる段階と、
前記触覚出力用電流信号を機械的にタッチ面に接続された第1の構造要素と、機械的にディスプレイ装置またはハウジング構造に接続された第2の構造要素と、の間に相対運動を発生させるように配置されたアクチュエータへ伝える段階と、
アクチュエータを作動させることによって触覚効果を引き起こす段階と、を備える方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法において、
前記動作は、
前記接触に応答する第1の信号を生成する段階と、
前記第1の信号を処理部に送信する段階と、
前記第1の信号に応答する触覚出力用電流信号を発生させる段階と、
前記触覚出力用電流信号を機械的にタッチ式検出パネルに接続された第1の構造要素と、機械的にディスプレイ装置またはハウジング構造に接続された第2の構造要素と、の間に相対運動を発生させるように配置されたアクチュエータへ伝える段階と、
アクチュエータを作動させることによって触覚効果を引き起こす段階と、を備え、
前記アクチュエータは
前記第1の構造要素を前記第2の構造要素に接続している第1のバイアス要素と、
前記第1の構造要素によって設けられた、第1のポール部を含む第1の磁気装置と、
前記第2の構造要素によって設けられた、第2のポール部を含む第2の磁気装置と、
前記第1のポール部および前記第2のポール部のうち少なくとも1つに配された第1のコイルと、をさらに含み
前記第1のバイアス要素は、
電流が前記第1のコイルに流れる場合に、前記第1のポール部と前記第2のポール部との両方を駆動する磁気吸引力に抗するバイアス力を与えるように配置される、方法。 - 前記第1の単一不連続波形と前記第2の単一不連続波形とは、互いに異なる、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の単一不連続波形と前記第2の単一不連続波形とは、実質的に互いに同一である、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記単一不連続波形は、対称形である、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記単一不連続波形は、非対称形である、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記タッチ面は、タッチスクリーンである、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記タッチ面は、タッチパッドである、請求項17に記載の方法。
