Claims (11)
- 発光領域を含む有機発光素子であって、
前記発光領域が、ホスト化合物と複数の発光ドーパントとを含み、
前記発光領域が、複数のバンドを含み、各バンドは1種のホスト化合物とそれにドープされた1種又は複数の発光ドーパントのみからなり、発光ドーパントの少なくとも1つが分子の三重項励起状態からのリン光により発光し、しかも複数の発光ドーパントの複合発光が、白色発光をもたらすのに十分に可視スペクトルにわたっているか、又は、
前記発光領域が、陽極と陰極との間に位置し、前記ホスト化合物、前記複数の発光ドーパント及び2つ若しくは3つのバンドを含み、各バンドは1種のホスト化合物とそれにドープされた1種又は複数の発光ドーパントのみからなり、しかも発光ドーパントの少なくとも2つが分子の三重項励起状態からのリン光により発光する、有機発光素子(但し、ホスト化合物中にドープされていない発光物質のみからなる発光層を含む有機発光素子は除く)。 - 前記発光領域が、2つ若しくは3つのバンドを含み、各バンドは1種又は複数の発光ドーパントでドープされており、しかも発光ドーパントの少なくとも2つが分子の三重項励起状態からのリン光により発光し、複数の発光ドーパントの複合発光が、白色発光をもたらすのに十分に可視スペクトルにわたっている、請求項1に記載の素子。
- 複合発光が少なくとも約80の演色評価数を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の素子。
- 複合発光が少なくとも約70の演色評価数を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
- 各発光ドーパントがリン光により発光する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
- 発光ドーパントがリン光性有機金属化合物である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
- 複数の発光ドーパントが最高三重項エネルギー、中間三重項エネルギー、最低三重項エネルギーの順序で配列している、請求項5又は6に記載の素子。
- 複数の発光ドーパントが最高三重項エネルギー、最低三重項エネルギー、中間三重項エネルギーの順序で配列している、請求項5又は6に記載の素子。
- 発光領域を含む少なくとも2つのバンドが、励起子阻止層によって隔てられている、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
- さらに陽極、陰極、発光領域、少なくとも1つの正孔輸送層、電子輸送層、励起子阻止層及び正孔注入層を含み、前記発光領域が、ホスト化合物及び複数の発光ドーパントを含む、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
- 一つ以上のバンドのホスト化合物が、隣接するバンドのホスト化合物とは異なる、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の素子。
