Au moyen d'un terminal d'utilisateur correspondant, des demandes concernant la disponibilité de l'espace de stationnement sont transmises au centre de calcul, ces demandes comportant la position du véhicule dans l'instant et au moins une information spécifique au véhicule concernant la catégorie du véhicule, les dimensions du véhicule ou le type du véhicule et/ou une information spécifique à l'utilisateur. L'information transmise est comparée dans le centre de calcul aux catégories d'espace de stationnement classifiées de sorte que soit déterminé l'espace de stationnement libre et proche du véhicule dont la catégorie d'espace de stationnement correspond à l'information. Les informations concernant l'espace de stationnement déterminé sont transmises par le centre de calcul au terminal d'utilisateur demandeur et affichées au moyen du terminal d'utilisateur.
