背景技术

发明内容
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,一种外部物体碎片检测系统可以使用磁场传感器和/或梯度计来测量围绕无线能量传送系统的共振器的磁场中的扰动。可以将传感器和/或梯度计放置在无线能量传感系统的磁场中。该传感器和/或梯度计可以包括线环和/或形成环的印刷导体轨迹、数字8形环、和/或包括产生穿过其表面、与磁通量的量成正比的电信号的一个环或多个环的结构。可以将该一个环和/或多个环连接到高输入阻抗读出电路。该读出电路可以测量环中的电压和/或电流、和/或电压和/或电流的相对相位。在实施例中,该系统可以包括用于增加FOD的检测可能性的多层环。在实施例中,可以将上述环设计成在不显著影响无线功率传送系统的特征的情况下操作,上述无线功率传送系统的特征例如为共振器的扰动质量因子、能量传送的效率、所传送的功率量、由系统所产生的热量等。

可以将用于减轻FOD风险的方法分类为被动减轻技术和主动减轻技术。被动减轻技术可以用于避免FOD进入或保持在高磁场的区域内。被动减轻技术可以降低FOD与磁场危险地相互作用的可能性。主动减轻技术可以用于检测FOD的存在并对FOD的存在做出反应。
被动减轻技术
被动减轻技术可以用于使FOD不进入共振器之间的区域或高磁场的特定区域,从而避免了FOD与磁场之间的相互作用。

根据示例性和非限制性的实施例,仅微弱地扰乱两个共振器之间的磁场的针对FOD物体的活动减轻系统可以包括:用于测量在FOD物体附近的磁场的小变化的传感器。例如,金属箔和纸口香糖包装可能不会实质上改变两个共振器之间的磁通量,但是如果其覆盖和/或阻挡了线圈或环路区域的任何部分,则其可能实质上改变通过小得多的传感器线圈或环路的磁通量。在实施例中,通过测量在FOD附近的磁场变化、振动、梯度等可以检测由FOD的存在所导致的磁场中的局部干扰。
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,如图2中所示出的,可以使用两个小线圈202、204来实现FOD传感器。可以将这样的传感器放置在用于无线能量传送的共振器上或附近。在操作期间,无线能量传送系统产生穿过两个线环的磁场。每个单独的环形成与穿过每一环206、208的内部的磁通量的数量成正比的电压。对于第一阶,由两个环形成的电压之间的差与接近环的磁场的梯度成正比。如果将两个环放在均匀场的区域中,并且上述环基本相似,则由两个环形成的电压之间的差异可能非常小。例如,如果放置口香糖包装使得其部分地覆盖环中的一个但是不覆盖另一个,则由两个环形成的电压的差异将比包装不在时大,这是因为口香糖包装的金属箔可以使本将正常穿过该环的磁通量中的一些转向或吸收了本将正常穿过该环的磁通量中的一些。在实施例中,来自两个环的输出可以彼此相减,使得当所感测的场基本均匀时,环的组合产生小信号,当在两个环之间的场存在梯度时,环的组合产生可测量地更大的信号。当环和/或线圈被配置成在存在场梯度的情况下产生信号时,可以将其称为被安排成梯度计。请注意,可以使用模拟电路、数字电路和/或通过在特定的配置中将环连接在一起来减去来自环的信号。传感器和/或梯度计的灵敏度可以与两个环之间的电压差的幅度和/或相位相关。
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,可以调整传感器和/或梯度计的灵敏度,以优先地检测给定大小或大于给定大小的物体。可以调整灵敏度以减少误检率、降低检测系统的噪声、和/或在一频率范围上操作。在实施例中,可以调整环的大小和形状,以调整传感器的灵敏度。可以将环调整成包含更多转弯和或包括额外的环,例如诸如四个环或8个环之类的。在实施例中,可以放置环以具有旋转对称或可以将其安排成直线排列或使其成形为充满任何大小和形状的区域。
在场密度在可以放置梯度计和/或可以实现其他的梯度计和/或环设计的位置中可能不均匀的实施例中,金属物体的存在可能导致与两个环电压之间的差对应的波形的幅度和/或相位变化。在实施例中,上述环可以具有多个转弯。根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,可以根据无线能量传送系统、该检测方法的期望灵敏度、该系统的复杂性等的磁场长度来设置环区域206、208的大小。如果金属FOD基本上小于环区域,则当FOD存在时,仅可能出现微弱的信号。该微弱的信号可能存在被噪声或干扰信号淹没的风险。如果环的大小为要检测的最小FOD大小的阶数(例如,在因子3之内),则对于以较低的误警率检测,该信号可能足够大。在实施例中,FOD传感器和/或梯度计可以包括一个或多个不同大小、形状和/或排列布置的环。在实施例中,FOD传感器可以包括具有一个传感器、超过一个传感器或没有传感器的区域。
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,用于测量在金属物体附近的场梯度的另一方是可以是以直接输出与磁场中的本地梯度成正比的电压的方式来创建线圈(也称为环)。这样的线圈起到在图2中描绘的两个线圈的目的,但是仅需要电压测量。例如,如果一个人要使图2中描绘的环中的一个的区域加倍并且然后将其扭动成数字8形的形状,在数字8形的形状中,8的每一叶具有大致相等的区域,但是由本地磁场在每一环中引起的电流在不同的方向传送,则横跨其两端形成的电压将与在两个叶之间的磁通量中的差成正比。图3A-3D描绘了可以直接输出与磁场中的本地梯度成正比的电压的扭曲的环的一些示例性的配置。
分别地,图2中示出的两个环可以被称为磁偶极子,图3A中的环可以被称为梯度计和/或磁四极,图3B中的环被称为梯度计和/或八极。四极配置可以在从左到右的方向形成与磁场梯度成正比的电压。4叶配置可以被配置成测量场梯度(图3B)、以及场梯度的梯度(图3C)。图3D代表在其中多个叶可以沿着线性维度延伸的实施例。在实施例中,具有偶数的叶的较高阶多极也可以被配置成测量对磁场的空间扰动。在实施例中,在图3A-3D中描绘的叶可以使用导体的多个转弯。
这些配置中的每一个可以完成测量由于金属FOD的存在所导致的磁场扰动的目标。具有多个叶的配置可以在不实质性减少检测具有与叶相类似特征的FOD的可能性的情况下,在覆盖更多的区域方面具有优势。
在图2和图3A-3D中描绘的环配置被描绘成圆形的,以示出在存在振荡磁场的情况下所引起的电流的方向。加号和减号指示所引起的电流大部分是逆时针或顺时针的。不同于圆的形状可能更适合具有较高区域填充因子的阵列。示例包括正方形、矩形、六边形以及其他以在其间具有很小的间隙空间铺设的形状。图4A示出了方形线圈的示例,其中,假定该阵列进一步延伸超出所示出的,并且具有相等数量的加环和减环。线圈的绕线可以是连接的,使得引起的电路在由加号和减号所指示的方向流动。
针对在图4A中示出的配置,可以在邻接的环之间的位置中放置一件对称的FOD,使得场扰动不会产生可检测的磁场梯度。在图4A中描绘了这样的“盲点”。根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,环阵列的第二层可以被放置在第一层之上,并且如图4B中所示出的,并且可以在侧面偏移。可以选择偏移,使得第一层传感器的“盲点”与针对第二层的最大可检测性的位置相对应。在实施例中,该偏移可以是相对于单个阵列检测的可能性提高FOD检测的可能性的任何偏移。以此方式,可以减少具有大量盲点的可能性,其中,在盲点中一件FOD可能无法检测。一个或多个偏移阵列的类似方案可以在减少盲点方面大致获得相同的优点。也可以将在多个阵列中环的方向改变成处理非均匀磁场。
在实施例中,单个环或偶极、四极、八极等中的叶可以具有多个大小或具有非均匀的大小。在梯度计可能覆盖非均匀磁场的区域的实施例中,可以设计环的大小,以确保在FOD不存在时,在梯度计环路的输出处电压最小。可以设计环的大小,使得较大的环被放置在较弱的磁场中,较小的环被放置在较高的磁场中。在实施例中,可以设计环的大小,使得较大的环被放置在更均匀的磁场的区域中,较小的环被放置在更不均匀的磁场的区域中。
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例中,FOD传感器阵列可以包括多种类型的传感器。在实施例中,FOD传感器可以包括单环传感器和/或偶极梯度计和/或四极梯度计和/或八极梯度计等。FOD传感器的一些区域可以不包括梯度计。FOD传感器可以包括温度传感器、有机材料传感器、电场传感器、磁场传感器、电容传感器、磁传感器、运动传感器、重量传感器、压力传感器、水传感器、振动传感器、光学传感器以及传感器的任何组合。
活动FOD检测处理
上文(图2至图5)描述的线圈配置可以在存在非均匀的振荡磁场的情况下,形成振荡电压,这是因为例如存在FOD。根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,连接到给定线圈的读出放大器可能具有高输入阻抗。该布置可以避免在传感器线圈中形成实质性的环流,上述环流将破坏用于无线能量传送的共振器的Q因子。在实施例中,可以将环、线圈、梯度计等连接到放大器和/或滤波器和/或模数转换器和/或操作放大器,和或可以被布置成具有高输入阻抗的任何电子部件。在实施例中,FOD传感器可以包括导电环和高输入阻抗电子部件。
根据示例性和非限制性的实施例,可以将来自阵列中的每一线圈(环、传感器、梯度计)的每一导体对连接到读出放大器和/或模数转换器,如图5中所示出的。可以将每一环导体502连接到放大器506和/或模数转换器508,并且可以产生输出504,该输出504可以由无线能量传送系统的其他元件使用或作为到用于存储和分析线圈、环、传感器和/或梯度计的输出的、诸如微处理器之类的处理元件(未示出)的输入。
在其它实施例中,如图6中所示出的,可以顺序地测量或可以以允许较少的读出放大器或模数转换器来采样该阵列的方式来复用阵列中每一线圈上的电压。可以将梯度计的环阵列602、604、606连接到复用的放大器608以及连接到一个或多个数模转换器610上。数模转换器612的输出可以由无线能量传送系统的其它元件使用或作为到用于存储和分析梯度计的输出的、诸如微处理器之类的处理元件(未示出)的输入。
在实施例中,可以将传感器和/或梯度计环路的每一导体对连接到主动或被动的滤波器电路,以以非常高或非常低的频率提供高终端阻抗。
可以以允许处理器确定相对于参考波形所引起的波形的幅度和相位的增量来对给定线圈上的电压进行采样。在实施例中,可以每一振荡周期至少两次(即,以奈奎斯特速率或高于奈奎斯特速率)对给定线圈上的电压进行采样。在实施例中,可以更不频繁地对给定线圈上的电压进行采样(即,在高阶奈奎斯特频带中)。可以在采样前将电压波形进行模拟滤波或调节,以提高信噪比或以减少要被采样的信号的谐波量。在采样后,可以将电压波形进行数字滤波或调节。
可以处理来自FOD检测器线圈的经时间采样的电信号,以确定相对于参考信号的幅度和相位。可以从用于激励用于无线能量传送的共振器的相同时钟来导出参考信号。
如图7中所示出的,在一些实施例中,FOD检测系统可以包括单独的频率、场强、和/或用于将传感器和/或梯度计读数同步到无线能量传送系统的振荡磁场的相位采样环704和电子设备702。
在实施例中,参考信号可以来自处于不同频率的不同振荡器。
处理用于FOD检测的数字8形八极配置(图3A)的示例可以如下所述:
1.不存在FOD,从数字8形环的一个中收集经时间采样的电压波形
2.计算基本频率部件的幅度和相位(或其谐波)
3.将幅度和相位存储为参考基准
4.不存在FOD,从相同的数字8形环收集电压波形
5.计算基波幅度和相位(或其谐波)
6.将该幅度和相位与参考相比较
7.在极坐标图上(或在幅度和相位空间中),如果该信号和该参考之间的距离超过预定的阈值,则宣布检测到FOD。
在实施例中,可以使用模拟电子电路、数字电子或两者来执行信号的处理。在实施例中,可以比较和处理来自多个传感器的信号。在实施例中,FOD传感器可以仅位于无线功率传送系统中的共振器的一个上、或全部上、或一些上。在实施例中,可以处理来自不同共振器上的、FOD传感器的信号,以确定FOD的存在和/或以给予无线功率系统控制信息。在实施例中,可以可控地开启或关闭FOD检测。在实施例中,可以使用FOD检测和处理来控制无线功率传送系统的频率、由无线功率系统传送的功率级别、和/或启用和/或禁用无线功率传送的时间段。在实施例中,FOD检测器可以是可以向系统用户报告FOD存在和/或可以向更高级别的系统报告FOD存在或不存在的报告系统的一部分。在实施例中,FOD检测系统可以包括可以用于识别某种类型的FOD“学习能力”,并且其可以包括用于将FOD的类型分类为无害的、有加热危险的、由于其他原因而不允许的等的系统和/或系统反馈。
根据示例性且非限制性的实施例,可以将处理嵌入FOD检测子系统中或者可以向中央处理器返回数据。该处理可以将所收集的电压波形与参考波形进行比较,并且在统计上寻找显著变化。本领域的普通技术人员将理解,可以在幅度和相位、I或Q分量、正弦或余弦部件方面、在复数平面等比较上述波形。
示例性的活动FOD检测实施例
在下文描述了所构造的两个具体的且非限制性的FOD检测系统的实施例。已经从这两个实施例中收集的数据,并且数据显示它们工作为FOD检测器。
在第一实施例中,一绞线形成数字8形环,如图8中所示出的,数字8形环形成了在两个环之间具有较长线的四极(梯度计1)。第二实施例被设计为如图8中的梯度计2所示出的。数字8形环大约5cm长。图9A-9C示出了从放置在无线能量源的顶部、位于用于3.3-kW无线能量传送系统的共振器之间的两个传感器收集的电压波形,此时,该系统正在向负载传送3.3kW。图9A示出了图8绘出的两个梯度计上的小残余电压(~30mVrms)。残余电压是由非均匀磁场、叶区域的略微变化以及电气干扰的组合所导致的。来自梯度计#1和#2的结果分别被绘制为曲线904和曲线902。当将金属口香糖箔放置在梯度计#2的右叶上时,阻止了一些流量,在图9B、曲线902中可以观察到实质性的幅度增加和微小的相移。相反地,当将箔移到梯度计#2的左叶中时,如在图9C中所示出的,幅度保持相同,但是相位改变了180°。可以使用这些相位和幅度读数中的变化来检测传感器上FOD的存在。
还使用印刷电路板(PCB)技术来实现传感器线圈或环来构造数字8形传感器的实施例。该实施例可以具有包括低成本、较高的填充因子(由于可以将环制成任何形状并且使用标准的PCB处理技术容易地铺设)、较高的均匀性、较高的再现性、小尺寸等优点。对于单个数字8形传感器的16信道阵列,使用铺设的矩形环获得较高的填充因子。印制的环高度均匀,当没有FOD存在时,导致来自传感器的基准读数较小(以及较平坦)。
其它实施例
在实施例中,可以将上文描述的传感器和梯度计与其他类型的FOD组合,以提高检测可能性和较低的误警(当不存在FOD时,系统检测到FOD)。例如,可以将温度传感器阵列组合地集成到共振器中。如果一件FOD开始加热,其将干扰正常预期的空间温度分布。可以使用该偏差来向系统控制器发送警报。在实施例中,可以单独使用温度传感器或与金属物体传感器组合使用温度传感器和/或可以将温度传感器用作针对金属物体传感器的备份或确认传感器。
诸如宠物之类的生物可能难以检测到。通常,它们可能不以实质性的方式与磁场相互作用。此外,当暴露在磁场中时,生物不会明显地变热。然而,如果生物侵入某种场强度的磁场中,则可能需要关闭无线功率系统。该场强度限度可以是依赖于频率的且可以基于标准限度、安全限度、公众认知的限度等。在实施例中,诸如长线之类的测量来自导体的边缘电容的变化的非传导性传感器可以检测生物的临近。在实施例中,这种类型的传感器可以在诊断测试期间、在无线能量传送之前以及在无线能量传送期间使用。
对车辆充电的应用
在许多类型的无线能量传送系统中,对FOD的检测可能是重要的安全预防措施。对于3.3-kW的小汽车充电系统的示例,实施例的一个示例如下所述。
在图10中示出了示例性的EV充电器系统的框图。可以将该系统划分成源模块和设备模块。源模块可以是充电站的一部分,可以将设备模块安装到电动车辆。经由共振器,从源向设备无线地传送功率。可以通过源模块和设备模块之间的带内和/或带外RF通信链路来执行对所发送的功率的闭环控制。
可以将FOD检测系统(未示出)集成到的各种地方的系统中。在实施例中,可以将FOD系统集成到源模块中、源共振器中、源共振器的壳体或外壳中等。在其它实施例中,可以将FOD系统集成到系统的设备侧上。在其他实施例中,可以在无线功率传输系统的源和设备侧都实现FOD系统。在实施例中,FOD检测系统可以包括多个传感器和具有辨别算法的处理器。可以将该处理器连接到充当源控制电子设备的互锁的接口。可以将其他FOD检测系统通过另外的接口或通过外部接口连接到充电器系统。在每一模块处的本地I/O可以在使用FOD检测的无线功率系统中提供用于系统级别管理和控制功能的接口。
高功率(3.3+kW)车辆充电系统中的源共振器可以在靠近绕组的边界处,并且可选地,任何磁材料,具有最高的磁场密度。在此区域,包含两个具有矩形叶的数字8形线圈的多个信道的阵列可以避免金属FOD的无意中加热。该阵列可以在PCB上制造并且可以在该板上包含集成的滤波和信号调节。等同设计的第二PCB可以放得略高于第一PCB,并且其以图4B中的方式在侧面平移。如上文描述的算法可以在板上处理器中运行,其中,该处理器的输出可以被发送至系统控制器。系统控制器可以比较金属FOD检测器的输出与诸如测量温度曲线或非传导性变化的FOD检测器之类的另外的FOD检测器的输出。然后,如果检测到FOD,则该系统可以决定是否关小或关闭系统。
FOD检测系统的一些可能的操作模式如下所示:
可以在车辆不在的情况下执行低功率诊断测试,以检查充电站的健康和状态(罕见的)以及以在车辆通过源驱动之前检查FOD(更常见)。
在车辆到达并且位于源模块上之后,但是在进行高功率充电之前,FOD检测器可以证明该源仍然没有FOD。
在高功率充电期间,FOD检测器可以证明没有额外的FOD移动到线圈上。

还要注意的是,可以将在此描述的技术应用与使用电磁场发送功率的任何无线功率系统。在我们已经描述了高度共振的无线功率系统的源和设备共振器的情况下,本领域的普通技术人员将理解,可以针对使用一次线圈和二次线圈的感应系统描述相同的传感器、检测器、算法、子系统等。

Claims (19)

1.一种用于无线能量传送系统的外部物体碎片检测系统,包括:
至少一个磁场传感器,以及
至少一个读出电路,其用于测量所述至少一个磁场传感器的电参数,
其中,所述至少一个磁场传感器被放置在所述无线能量传送系统的所述磁场中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述至少一个磁场传感器包括磁场梯度计。
3.根据权利要求2所述的系统,其中,所述至少一个磁场梯度计包括数字8形四极导体环。
4.根据权利要求2所述的系统,其中,所述至少一个磁场梯度计包括八极导体环。
5.根据权利要求2所述的系统,其中,所述读出电路具有足以充分地防止所述梯度计环路中的循环电流的输入阻抗。
6.根据权利要求3所述的系统,其中,所述数字8形四极导体环是印刷在电路板上的。
7.根据权利要求6所述的系统,其中,所述数字8形四极导体环是矩形的。
8.根据权利要求3所述的系统,其中,所述系统包括放置在所述无线能量传送的所述磁场中的梯度计环路的阵列。
9.根据权利要求8所述的系统,其中,所述系统包括多层偏移并且重叠的梯度计环路。
10.根据权利要求5所述的系统,其中,所述读出电路在多个梯度计环路之间被复用。
11.根据权利要求所述的系统,还包括:
反馈环路,其用于基于来自所述外部物体碎片检测系统的读数来调整所述无线能量传送的所述参数。
12.根据权利要求2所述的系统,其中,所述梯度计是要检测的最小外部物体碎片(FOD)的大小的至少两倍。
13.一种利用外部物体碎片检测的无线能量传送系统,所述系统包括:
至少一个无线能量传送源,其配置为产生振荡磁场;
至少一个磁场梯度计,其被放置在所述振荡磁场中;
读出电路,其用于测量所述场梯度计的电参数;以及
反馈环路,其用于响应于所测量的所述场梯度计的电参数来控制所述无线能量传送源的所述参数。
14.根据权利要求13所述的系统,还包括:
至少一个温度传感器,其中,所述温度传感器被放置以测量所述无线能量传送源附近的温度。
15.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中,使用来自所述梯度计的读数来关闭所述至少一个无线能量传送源的所述能量传送。
16.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中,所述系统还包括:连接到高输入阻抗读出电路的场梯度计阵列。
17.根据权利要求16所述的系统,其中,所述高阻抗读出电路监测所述梯度计环路的电压。
18.根据权利要求17所述的系统,其中,所述高阻抗读出电路监测所述梯度计环路的电压信号的相位。
19.根据权利要求18所述的系统,还包括:
场感测环路,其用于使所述读出电路与所述至少一个无线能量传送源的所述振荡磁场的频率同步。
