Claims (13)
- 物体を検出するための方法であって、
センス信号を生成するステップと、
前記センス信号に応答して誘導性センシングコイル内に第1の磁場を生成するステップであって、前記誘導性センシングコイルの電気的特性が、前記第1の磁場を生成するときに検出される、生成するステップと、
前記誘導性センシングコイル以外のソースを利用して第2の時変バイアシング磁場を生成するステップと、
前記第2の時変バイアシング磁場の生成の間に前記誘導性センシングコイルの前記電気的特性の変化を検出するステップであって、前記電気的特性が、前記物体に印加されている前記第2の時変バイアシング磁場に応じて変化するように構成される、検出するステップと、
前記検出された前記電気的特性の変化に基づいて前記物体の存在を決定するステップとを含む、方法。 - 前記電気的特性が、等価抵抗、等価インダクタンス、等価インピーダンス、および前記誘導性センシングコイルのインパルス応答のうちの1つまたは複数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 物体を検出するための装置であって、
センス信号を生成するための手段と、
前記センス信号に応答して誘導性センシングコイル内に第1の磁場を生成し、前記第1の磁場を生成するときに前記誘導性センシングコイルの電気的特性を検出するための手段と、
第2の時変バイアシング磁場を生成するための手段であって、前記誘導性センシングコイル以外のソースを有する、手段と、
第2の時変磁場の生成の間に前記誘導性センシングコイルの前記電気的特性の変化を検出するための手段であって、前記電気的特性が、前記物体に印加されている前記第2の時変磁場に応じて変化するように構成される、検出するための手段と、
前記検出された前記電気的特性の変化に基づいて前記物体の存在を決定するための手段とを含む、装置。 - センス信号を生成するための前記手段が、センス信号源を含み、
第2の時変磁場を生成するための手段が、送信コイルを含み、
検出するための前記手段および存在を決定するための前記手段が、コントローラを含む、請求項8に記載の装置。 - 前記電気的特性が、等価抵抗、等価インダクタンス、等価インピーダンス、および前記誘導性センシングコイルのインパルス応答のうちの1つまたは複数を含む、請求項8または9に記載の装置。
- 前記誘導性センシングコイルを含む複数の誘導性センシングコイルをさらに備え、前記複数の誘導性センシングコイルの前記電気的特性の複数の変化の測定値を多重化するための手段をさらに含む、請求項8または9に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の時変磁場が、交番磁場である、請求項8または9に記載の装置。
- 前記電気的特性の前記変化を検出するための前記手段が、時間領域における前記変化を検出するように構成される、または、
前記電気的特性の前記変化を検出するための前記手段が、周波数領域における前記変化を検出するように構成される、請求項8または9に記載の装置。
