Description

空気入りタイヤ
 この発明は、空気入りタイヤに関し、さらに詳しくは、更生タイヤに用いられる台タイヤの歩留まりを向上できる空気入りタイヤに関する。
 トラック・バスなどに装着される低偏平な重荷重用タイヤは、ベルト層に周方向補強層を配置することにより、センター領域におけるタイヤの径成長を抑制して、タイヤ幅方向にかかる接地圧分布を均一化している。かかる構成を採用する従来の空気入りタイヤとして、特許文献1~6に記載される技術が知られている。

 また、近年では、価格面および環境面から更生タイヤに注目が集まっている。更生タイヤは、残溝が寿命に達したタイヤのトレッドゴムを貼り替えて再利用されるタイヤであり、プレキュア方式およびリモールド方式の2つの方式により製造される。プレキュア方式の更生タイヤは、使用済みのタイヤのトレッドゴムをバフ処理により切除して台タイヤを形成し、新品時のトレッドパターンを有する加硫済みのプレキュアトレッドを台タイヤに接着して製造される。リモールド方式の更生タイヤは、使用済みのタイヤのトレッドゴムをバフ処理により切除して台タイヤを形成し、台タイヤに未加硫のトレッドゴムを巻き付け、トレッドパターンを有する成形金型を用いて加硫成形して製造される。
 かかる更生タイヤでは、台タイヤの歩留まりを向上させるべき要請がある。
 そこで、この発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、更生タイヤに用いられる台タイヤの歩留まりを向上できる空気入りタイヤを提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するため、この発明にかかる空気入りタイヤは、カーカス層と、前記カーカス層のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるベルト層と、前記ベルト層のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるトレッドゴムとを備えると共に、タイヤ周方向に延在する少なくとも3本の周方向主溝と、これらの周方向主溝に区画されて成る複数の陸部とを備える空気入りタイヤであって、前記ベルト層が、タイヤ周方向に対して絶対値で46[deg]以上80[deg]以下のベルト角度を有すると共に相互に異符号のベルト角度を有する内径側交差ベルトおよび外径側交差ベルトと、タイヤ周方向に対して±5[deg]の範囲内にあるベルト角度を有すると共に前記内径側交差ベルトおよび前記外径側交差ベルトの間に配置される周方向補強層とを備え、且つ、タイヤ赤道面におけるトレッドプロファイルからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gccと、トレッド端からタイヤ内周面までの距離Gshとが、1.10≦Gsh/Gccの関係を有することを特徴とする。
 この発明にかかる空気入りタイヤでは、一対の交差ベルトが高角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ幅方向の剛性が確保される。また、周方向補強層および付加ベルトが、低角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ周方向の剛性が確保される。これにより、タイヤ周方向とタイヤ幅方向との剛性バランスが適正化されて、経時によるトレッド部の変形が抑制される。これにより、タイヤ更生時における台タイヤの歩留まりが向上して、タイヤの更生性能が向上する利点がある。

 以下、この発明につき図面を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。なお、この実施の形態によりこの発明が限定されるものではない。また、この実施の形態の構成要素には、発明の同一性を維持しつつ置換可能かつ置換自明なものが含まれる。また、この実施の形態に記載された複数の変形例は、当業者自明の範囲内にて任意に組み合わせが可能である。
[空気入りタイヤ]
 図1は、この発明の実施の形態にかかる空気入りタイヤを示すタイヤ子午線方向の断面図である。同図は、空気入りタイヤ1の一例として、長距離輸送用のトラック、バスなどに装着される重荷重用ラジアルタイヤを示している。なお、符号CLは、タイヤ赤道面である。また、同図では、トレッド端Pとタイヤ接地端Tとが、一致している。また、同図では、周方向補強層145にハッチングを付してある。
 この空気入りタイヤ1は、一対のビードコア11、11と、一対のビードフィラー12、12と、カーカス層13と、ベルト層14と、トレッドゴム15と、一対のサイドウォールゴム16、16とを備える(図1参照)。
 一対のビードコア11、11は、環状構造を有し、左右のビード部のコアを構成する。一対のビードフィラー12、12は、ローアーフィラー121およびアッパーフィラー122から成り、一対のビードコア11、11のタイヤ径方向外周にそれぞれ配置されてビード部を補強する。
 カーカス層13は、左右のビードコア11、11間にトロイダル状に架け渡されてタイヤの骨格を構成する。また、カーカス層13の両端部は、ビードコア11およびビードフィラー12を包み込むようにタイヤ幅方向内側からタイヤ幅方向外側に巻き返されて係止される。また、カーカス層13は、スチールあるいは有機繊維材(例えば、ナイロン、ポリエステル、レーヨンなど)から成る複数のカーカスコードをコートゴムで被覆して圧延加工して構成され、絶対値で85[deg]以上95[deg]以下のカーカス角度(タイヤ周方向に対するカーカスコードの繊維方向の傾斜角)を有する。
 ベルト層14は、複数のベルトプライ142、143、144、145を積層して成り、カーカス層13の外周に掛け廻されて配置される。ベルト層14の具体的な構成については、後述する。
 トレッドゴム15は、カーカス層13およびベルト層14のタイヤ径方向外周に配置されてタイヤのトレッド部を構成する。一対のサイドウォールゴム16、16は、カーカス層13のタイヤ幅方向外側にそれぞれ配置されて左右のサイドウォール部を構成する。
 なお、図1の構成では、空気入りタイヤ1が、タイヤ周方向に延在する7本の周方向主溝2と、これらの周方向主溝2に区画されて成る8つの陸部3とを備えている。また、各陸部3が、タイヤ周方向に連続するリブ、あるいは、複数のラグ溝によりタイヤ周方向に分断されたブロック列となっている(図示省略)。
 ここで、周方向主溝とは、5.0[mm]以上の溝幅を有する周方向溝をいう。周方向主溝の溝幅は、溝開口部に形成された切欠部や面取部を除外して測定される。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の周方向主溝2、2を最外周方向主溝と呼ぶ。また、左右の最外周方向主溝2、2に区画されたタイヤ幅方向外側にある左右の陸部3、3をショルダー陸部と呼ぶ。
[ベルト層]
 図2および図3は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤのベルト層を示す説明図である。これらの図において、図2は、タイヤ赤道面CLを境界としたトレッド部の片側領域を示し、図3は、ベルト層14の積層構造を示している。なお、図3では、各ベルトプライ142~145中の細線が各ベルトプライ142~145のベルトコードを模式的に示している。
 ベルト層14は、一対の交差ベルト142、143と、付加ベルト(低角度ベルト)144と、周方向補強層145とを積層して成り、カーカス層13の外周に掛け廻されて配置される(図2参照)。
 一対の交差ベルト142、143は、コートゴムで被覆されたスチールあるいは有機繊維材から成る複数のベルトコードを圧延加工して構成される。また、一対の交差ベルト142、143は、絶対値で46[deg]以上80[deg]以下のベルト角度(タイヤ周方向に対するベルトコードの繊維方向の傾斜角)を有することが好ましく、51[deg]以上70[deg]以下のベルト角度を有することがより好ましい。また、一対の交差ベルト142、143は、相互に異符号のベルト角度を有し、ベルトコードの繊維方向を相互に交差させて積層される(クロスプライ構造)。ここでは、タイヤ径方向内側に位置する交差ベルト142を内径側交差ベルトと呼び、タイヤ径方向外側に位置する交差ベルト143を外径側交差ベルトと呼ぶ。なお、3枚以上の交差ベルトが積層されて配置されても良い(図示省略)。
 また、付加ベルト144は、スチールあるいは有機繊維材から成る複数のベルトコードをコートゴムで被覆して圧延加工して構成される。この付加ベルト144は、絶対値で10[deg]以上45[deg]以下のベルト角度を有することが好ましく、15[deg]以上30[deg]以下のベルト角度を有することがより好ましい。また、付加ベルト144は、一対の交差ベルト142、143のタイヤ径方向外側に積層されて配置される。なお、図1の構成では、付加ベルト144が、タイヤ径方向の最も外側に積層されて外径側交差ベルト143のベルトカバーを兼ねている。
 周方向補強層145は、コートゴムで被覆されたスチール製のベルトコードをタイヤ周方向に対して±5[deg]の範囲内で傾斜させつつ螺旋状に巻き廻わして構成される。具体的には、1本あるいは複数本のワイヤが内径側交差ベルト142の外周に螺旋状に巻き廻されて、周方向補強層145が形成される。また、周方向補強層145は、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間に挟み込まれて配置される。また、周方向補強層145は、一対の交差ベルト142、143の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置される。この周方向補強層145により、タイヤ周方向の剛性が補強される。
 なお、この空気入りタイヤ1では、ベルト層14が、エッジカバーを有しても良い(図示省略)。一般に、エッジカバーは、スチールあるいは有機繊維材から成る複数のベルトコードをコートゴムで被覆して圧延加工して構成され、絶対値で0[deg]以上5[deg]以下のベルト角度を有する。また、エッジカバーは、外径側交差ベルト143(あるいは内径側交差ベルト142)の左右のエッジ部のタイヤ径方向外側にそれぞれ配置される。これらのエッジカバーがタガ効果を発揮することにより、トレッド部センター領域とショルダー領域との径成長差が緩和される。
 また、内径側交差ベルト142が、カーカス層13に隣接して配置されている。したがって、内径側交差ベルト142がベルト層14のタイヤ径方向の最も内側の層を構成し、内径側交差ベルト142とカーカス層13との間には、他のベルトプライが配置されていない。
 また、内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143が、周方向補強層145を挟み込んで周方向補強層145にそれぞれ隣接している。したがって、内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143と周方向補強層145との間には、他のベルトプライが配置されていない。
 また、図2の構成では、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間に挟み込まれて配置されている(図2参照)。しかし、これに限らず、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト142、143のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されても良い(図示省略)。また、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト142、143の内側に配置されても良い。
[付加ベルトの具体的構成]
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、相互に隣接する付加ベルト144と外径側交差ベルト143とが、異符号のベルト角度を有する(図3参照)。例えば、図3の構成では、付加ベルト144のベルトコードが、同図下方に向かって左側に傾斜し、また、外径側交差ベルト143のベルトコードが、同図下方に向かって右側に傾斜している。このため、付加ベルト144のベルトコードと外径側交差ベルト143のベルトコードとが、逆方向に傾斜することにより、異符号のベルト角度を有している。
 なお、これに限らず、付加ベルト144のベルトコードと外径側交差ベルト143のベルトコードとが、同一方向に傾斜することにより、同符号のベルト角度を有しても良い(図示省略)。
 また、付加ベルト144が、最外周方向主溝2の配置領域を覆って配置される(図2参照)。具体的には、付加ベルト144が、最外周方向主溝2の溝幅の全域に渡って配置される。これにより、最外周方向主溝2の溝下が補強される。なお、付加ベルト144が、スプリット構造を有する場合(図示省略)には、付加ベルト144の各分割部が、最外周方向主溝2の溝幅の全域を覆って配置される。
 また、付加ベルト144の幅Wb4と、外径側交差ベルト143の幅Wb3とが、0.75≦Wb4/Wb3≦0.95の関係を有する(図3参照)。したがって、付加ベルト144は、外径側交差ベルト143よりも幅狭である。また、比Wb4/Wb3が、0.80≦Wb4/Wb3≦0.90の関係を有することが好ましい。
 また、付加ベルト144の幅Wb4と、周方向補強層145の幅Wsとが、1.02≦Wb4/Wsの関係を有する(図3参照)。したがって、付加ベルト144は、周方向補強層145よりも幅広である。また、付加ベルト144が、最外周方向主溝2よりもタイヤ幅方向外側まで延在することが好ましい(図2参照)。また、比Wb4/Wsの上限は、特に限定がないが、上記の比Wb4/Wb3および後述する比Ws/Wb3との関係で制約を受ける。
 ベルトプライの幅は、各ベルトプライの左右の端部のタイヤ回転軸方向の距離であり、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態として測定される。
 また、ベルトプライがタイヤ幅方向に二分割された構造を有する場合(図示省略)には、ベルトプライの幅が、左右の分割部のタイヤ幅方向外側間の距離として測定される。
 また、一般的な空気入りタイヤでは、図1に示すように、各ベルトプライがタイヤ赤道面CLを中心とする左右対称な構造を有する。このため、タイヤ赤道面CLからベルトプライのタイヤ幅方向外側の端部までの距離が、そのベルトプライの半幅となる。
 ここで、規定リムとは、JATMAに規定される「適用リム」、TRAに規定される「Design Rim」、あるいはETRTOに規定される「Measuring Rim」をいう。また、規定内圧とは、JATMAに規定される「最高空気圧」、TRAに規定される「TIRE LOAD LIMITS AT VARIOUS COLD INFLATION PRESSURES」の最大値、あるいはETRTOに規定される「INFLATION PRESSURES」をいう。また、規定荷重とは、JATMAに規定される「最大負荷能力」、TRAに規定される「TIRE LOAD LIMITS AT VARIOUS COLD INFLATION PRESSURES」の最大値、あるいはETRTOに規定される「LOAD CAPACITY」をいう。ただし、JATMAにおいて、乗用車用タイヤの場合には、規定内圧が空気圧180[kPa]であり、規定荷重が最大負荷能力の88[%]である。
 また、付加ベルト144のベルトコードが、スチールワイヤであり、且つ、15[本/50mm]以上25[本/50mm]以下のエンド数を有する。
[台タイヤの歩留まり向上]
 トラック・バスなどに装着される近年の重荷重用タイヤは、低い偏平率を有する一方で、ベルト層に周方向補強層を配置することにより、トレッド部の形状を保持している。具体的には、周方向補強層が、トレッド部センター領域に配置されてタガ効果を発揮することにより、トレッド部の径成長を抑制してトレッド部の形状を保持している。
 かかる周方向補強層を有する構成では、ベルト層のタイヤ周方向の剛性が周方向補強層により増加するため、ベルトプライのエッジ部の周辺ゴムのセパレーションが発生し易いという課題がある。このような課題は、特に、高内圧かつ高負荷荷重での長期使用条件下にて、顕著に現れる。
 また、近年では、価格面および環境面から更生タイヤに注目が集まっている。更生タイヤは、残溝が寿命に達したタイヤのトレッドゴムを貼り替えて再利用されるタイヤであり、プレキュア方式およびリモールド方式の2つの方式により製造される。プレキュア方式の更生タイヤは、使用済みのタイヤのトレッドゴムをバフ処理により切除して台タイヤを形成し、新品時のトレッドパターンを有する加硫済みのプレキュアトレッドを台タイヤに接着して製造される。リモールド方式の更生タイヤは、使用済みのタイヤのトレッドゴムをバフ処理により切除して台タイヤを形成し、台タイヤに未加硫のトレッドゴムを巻き付け、トレッドパターンを有する成形金型を用いて加硫成形して製造される。
 ここで、台タイヤを取得する工程では、使用済みタイヤをインフレート状態としてバフ処理が行われる。このとき、特に低い偏平率を有する使用済みタイヤは、左右のショルダー領域にてタイヤの径成長が大きくなる。すると、ショルダー領域にあるベルトプライの端部がバフ処理により台タイヤの表面に露出し易くなる。このような台タイヤは、更生タイヤとして使用できないため、台タイヤの歩留まりを高めるための工夫が必要となる。
 また、台タイヤが使用済みタイヤから取得されるため、台タイヤの内部にて、ベルトエッジセパレーション(ベルト層端部における周辺ゴムのセパレーション)が発生している場合がある。かかる台タイヤは、更生タイヤとして使用できないため、新品タイヤの段階にて、ベルトエッジセパレーションを抑制するための工夫が必要となる。なお、台タイヤ内部のベルトエッジセパレーションは、タイヤの外見では判断できないため、専用の検査機器により発生の有無が検査される。
 この点において、この空気入りタイヤ1では、上記のように、一対の交差ベルト142、143が高角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ幅方向の剛性が確保される。また、周方向補強層145および付加ベルト144が、低角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ周方向の剛性が確保される。これにより、タイヤ周方向とタイヤ幅方向との剛性バランスが適正化されて、経時によるトレッド部の変形が抑制される。これにより、タイヤ更生時における台タイヤの歩留まりが向上して、タイヤの更生性能が向上する。
[トレッドゲージ]
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ赤道面CLにおけるトレッドプロファイルからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gccと、トレッド端Pからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gshとが、1.10≦Gsh/Gcc≦1.50の関係を有する。また、比Gsh/Gccが、1.20≦Gsh/Gcc≦1.50の範囲にあることが好ましい。
 距離Gccは、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、タイヤ赤道面CLとトレッドプロファイルとの交点からタイヤ赤道面CLとタイヤ内周面との交点までの距離として測定される。したがって、図1および図2の構成のように、タイヤ赤道面CLに周方向主溝2がある構成では、この周方向主溝2を除外して、距離Gccが測定される。距離Gshは、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、トレッド端Pからタイヤ内周面に下ろした垂線の長さとして測定される。
 なお、図2の構成では、空気入りタイヤ1が、カーカス層13の内周面にインナーライナ18を備え、このインナーライナ18が、タイヤ内周面の全域に渡って配置されている。かかる構成では、距離Gccおよび距離Gshが、このインナーライナ18の表面を基準(タイヤ内周面)として測定される。
 また、図2に示すように、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、周方向主溝2の末端摩耗面WEを引く。末端摩耗面WEとは、タイヤに存在する摩耗指標から推定される表面をいう。また、末端摩耗面WEは、タイヤを非インフレート状態としたタイヤ単体の状態で測定される。一般的な空気入りタイヤでは、末端摩耗面WEが、トレッドプロファイルに略平行な曲線上にある。
 このとき、タイヤ赤道面CL上における周方向補強層145から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Dccと、周方向補強層145の端部から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Deとが、0.95≦De/Dcc≦1.05の関係を有する。
 距離Dccおよび距離Deは、タイヤを非インフレート状態としたタイヤ単体の状態で測定される。また、周方向補強層145側の測定点は、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、周方向補強層145を構成するベルトコードの中心点を結ぶ曲線により規定される。また、周方向補強層145の端部は、周方向補強層145を構成するベルトコードのうちタイヤ幅方向の最も外側にあるベルトコードを基準として規定される。
 図4は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤの作用を示す説明図である。同図は、相互に異なる比De/Dccおよび比Gsh/Gccを有するタイヤの接地状態をそれぞれ示している。
 図4(a)の比較例のタイヤでは、図1~図3の構成において、比De/Dccが等しく設定され(De/Dcc=1.00)、且つ、比Gsh/Gccが小さく設定されている(Gsh/Gcc=1.06)。かかる構成では、タイヤ非接地状態にて、トレッドプロファイルが、タイヤ赤道面CLからトレッド端Pに向かって外径を縮小する肩落ち形状を有する(図示省略)。このため、タイヤ接地時には、図4(a)に示すように、トレッド部ショルダー領域が路面側(タイヤ径方向外側)に大きく変形する。このとき、周方向補強層145から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Dcc、Deが一様(De/Dcc=1.00)なので、周方向補強層145の端部が、トレッド部ショルダー領域の変形に追従して路面側(タイヤ径方向外側)に大きく撓む。このため、タイヤ接地時における周方向補強層145の歪みが大きい。
 これに対して、図4(b)の実施例のタイヤでは、図1~図3の構成において、比De/Dccが大きく設定され(De/Dcc=1.08)、且つ、比Gsh/Gccが大きく設定される(Gsh/Gcc=1.20)。かかる構成では、タイヤ非接地状態にて、トレッドプロファイルのタイヤ赤道面CLにおける外径とトレッド端Pにおける外径との径差が小さく、トレッドプロファイルが全体としてフラット(タイヤ回転軸に略平行)な形状を有する(図1および図2参照)。このため、図4(b)に示すように、タイヤ接地時におけるトレッド部ショルダー領域の変形量が小さい。さらに、周方向補強層145から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Dcc、DeがDe<Dccの関係を有するので、比De/Dccが略等しい構成と比較して、タイヤ接地時におけるショルダー陸部の接地面圧が上昇する。
 空気入りタイヤ1を更生タイヤとして再利用する場合には、上記のように、使用済みタイヤのトレッドゴムの一部がバフ処理により切除されて、台タイヤが取得される。このバフ処理工程では、(1)各周方向主溝2の溝底ラインが台タイヤの表面に残存しないように、(2)ベルトプライが台タイヤの表面に露出しないように、また、(3)使用済みタイヤのショルダー摩耗(特に、ステップ摩耗)が台タイヤの表面に残存しないように、バフ研磨量(バフ研磨によるトレッドゴムの切除量)が規定される。具体的には、タイヤ赤道面CL近傍にある周方向主溝2の溝深さGDcc、最外周方向主溝2の溝深さGDshおよびショルダー陸部3のラグ溝4の開口端部41の位置を基準として、バフ研磨量が規定される(図5および図6参照)。
 このとき、図4(b)の構成では、上記のようにタイヤ接地時におけるトレッド部ショルダー領域の変形量が小さいので、トレッド部ショルダー領域の剛性が確保されて、タイヤの径成長が抑制される。また、タイヤ接地時におけるショルダー陸部の接地面圧が上昇することにより、周方向補強層145よりもタイヤ幅方向外側領域におけるタイヤの径成長が抑制される。これらにより、ベルト層14の変形が抑制されて、使用済みタイヤのバフ研磨時におけるベルト層14の露出が抑制される。
 また、上記のように、比Gsh/Gccが大きく設定されてショルダー部が肉厚構造を有することにより、バフ研磨量を適正に確保しつつベルトプライの露出を防止できる。これらにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する。
[溝下ゲージ]
 図5は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤを示す説明図である。同図は、図2の複製であり、図2に記載した寸法および符号に代えて、溝下ゲージの説明に必要な寸法および符号を新たに追加している。
 この空気入りタイヤ1では、図5において、最外周方向主溝2の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshが、0.20≦UDsh/GDshの関係を有することが好ましい。
 また、図5において、タイヤ赤道面CLに最も近い周方向主溝2の溝深さGDccおよび溝下ゲージUDccが、0.15≦UDcc/GDccの関係を有することが好ましく、0.20≦UDcc/GDccの関係を有することがより好ましい。
 周方向主溝2の溝深さGDsh、GDccは、トレッドプロファイルと周方向主溝2の溝底(最大深さ位置)との距離として測定される。また、溝深さGDsh、GDccは、溝底に形成されたストーンイジェクタなどの底上部を除外して測定される。また、溝深さGDsh、GDccは、タイヤサイズに依存するが、一般に、10[mm]≦GDsh≦25[mm]かつ10[mm]≦GDcc≦25[mm]の範囲内に設定される。
 周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDsh、UDccは、周方向主溝2の溝底と、ベルト層14(より詳しくは、タイヤ径方向の最も外側にあるベルトプライのベルトコードのタイヤ径方向外側の頂部を結ぶ円弧)との距離として測定される。
 タイヤ赤道面CLに最も近い周方向主溝2とは、タイヤ赤道面CL上に周方向主溝2がある場合には、この周方向主溝2をいい(図5参照)、タイヤ赤道面CL上に陸部3がある(周方向主溝2がない)場合(図示省略)には、複数の周方向主溝2のうちタイヤ赤道面CLから最も近い位置にある周方向主溝2をいう。
 なお、比UDsh/GDshおよび比UDcc/GDccの上限は、特に限定がないが、溝下ゲージUDsh、UDccが過大となると、トレッドゲージが増加してタイヤの転がり抵抗が低下するため、好ましくない。したがって、比UDsh/GDshおよび比UDcc/GDccの上限は、この点を考慮して適宜設定されることが好ましい。具体的には、比UDsh/GDshおよび比UDcc/GDccが、UDsh/GDsh≦0.7およびUDcc/GDcc≦0.7の範囲にあることが好ましい。
 また、比UDsh/GDshと比UDcc/GDccとが、UDcc/GDcc<UDsh/GDshの関係を有することが好ましい。したがって、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージ比UDsh/GDshが、タイヤ赤道面CL近傍における周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージ比UDcc/GDccよりも大きく設定される。これにより、各周方向主溝2の溝深さGDsh、GDccを適正化しつつ、上記した比Gsh/Gccを有するトレッド形状を実現できる。
 また、最外周方向主溝2の溝深さGDshと、タイヤ赤道面CL近傍における周方向主溝2の溝深さGDccとが、1.0≦GDsh/GDcc≦1.2の関係を有することが好ましい。これにより、溝深さの比GDsh/GDccが適正化される。
 なお、タイヤ赤道面CLに最も近い周方向主溝2と最外周方向主溝2との間に周方向主溝2がある構成(図1および図5参照)では、一般に、これらの周方向主溝2の溝深さおよび溝下ゲージが、上記の溝深さGDsh、GDccおよび溝下ゲージUDsh、UDccを基準として適宜設定される。
 上記の構成では、周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDsh、UDccが適正に確保されるので、使用済みタイヤのショルダー摩耗が台タイヤの表面に残存しないように、十分なバフ研磨量を確保できる。これにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する。
[更生時期判断用マークとしてのラグ溝]
 上記のように、ベルト層に周方向補強層を有するタイヤでは、ショルダー摩耗が生じ易い傾向にある。このショルダー摩耗が大きく進行すると、バフ処理によりショルダー摩耗を除去することができず、使用済みタイヤを更生できない。これは、ショルダー摩耗を除去するために大きくバフ研磨すると、ベルト層の端部が台タイヤの表面に露出するためである。
 一方で、使用済みタイヤを更生できるか否かは、すなわち、ベルト層の端部が台タイヤの表面に露出するか否かは、バフ処理後に判明することも多い。すると、バフ処理工程が無駄となり、ユーザー(主として、バフ処理を行うタイヤディーラー)に不利益が生じるため、好ましくない。
 そこで、この空気入りタイヤ1は、ユーザーがタイヤの更生時期を適正に判断できるように、以下の構成を有している。
 図6~図9は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤのショルダー部を示す拡大断面図である。これらの図は、いずれも同一構造を有する空気入りタイヤ1を示し、また、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態としたときのショルダー部の様子を示している。
 まず、図6に示すように、ベルト層14を構成する複数のベルトプライ142~145の端部のうち最外周方向主溝2よりもタイヤ幅方向外側かつタイヤ径方向の最も外側にある端部から、タイヤ回転軸に平行な直線L1を引く。
 このとき、この空気入りタイヤ1では、ラグ溝4の開口端部41が、直線L1よりもタイヤ径方向外側に配置される。具体的には、ラグ溝4の開口端部41が、直線L1に対して2[mm]以上の距離をあけて配置されることが好ましい。そして、ラグ溝4の開口端部41が、タイヤの更生時期を判断するためのマークとして用いられる。
 かかる構成では、摩耗の進行とともに、ショルダー陸部3のタイヤ幅方向外側のエッジ部に、ショルダー摩耗が発生する。そして、このショルダー摩耗がラグ溝4の開口端部41に到達する前は、使用済みタイヤが更生可能と判断され、ショルダー摩耗がラグ溝4の開口端部41を越えると、タイヤが更生不能と判断される。すなわち、ラグ溝4の開口端部41がショルダー摩耗により消滅したか否かを基準として、タイヤが更生可能か否かが判断される。また、ショルダー摩耗がラグ溝4の開口端部41に到達したときに、推奨更生時期となる。この状態では、ラグ溝4の開口端部41の位置が上記のように適正化されているので、台タイヤ表面へのベルト層14の露出を防止しつつショルダー摩耗部分をバフ処理により切除できる。これにより、ラグ溝4の開口端部41がタイヤの更生時期を判断するためのマークとして機能する。
 また、図7に示すように、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝底を通りタイヤプロファイルに平行な曲線L2を引く。また、曲線L2とバットレス部との交点Qをとる。
 このとき、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ142~145が、曲線L2よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある。特に、最外周方向主溝2よりもタイヤ幅方向外側にあるすべてのベルトプライ142~145の端部が、曲線L2よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルト層14の露出が防止される。
 また、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshと、交点Qからラグ溝4の開口端部41までのタイヤ径方向の距離ΔDrgとが、タイヤ径方向外側を正として-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDsh≦1.0の関係を有する。また、比ΔDrg/UDshが、-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDsh<0の関係に設定されることが好ましく、-0.5≦ΔDrg/UDsh≦-0.1の関係に設定されることがより好ましい。このように、ラグ溝4の開口端部41が交点Qよりもタイヤ径方向内側に配置されることにより、タイヤの更生時期を遅らせて、タイヤの一次寿命を延長できる。また、比ΔDrg/UDshが、-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDsh(さらに、-0.5≦ΔDrg/UDsh)の範囲にあることにより、タイヤが更生可能か否かを精度良く判断できる。
 また、図8に示すように、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝底とラグ溝4の開口端部41とを結ぶ直線L3を引く。
 このとき、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ142~145が、直線L3よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルト層の露出が防止される。
 また、図9に示すように、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshの中点Mとラグ溝4の開口端部41とを結ぶ直線L4を引く。溝下ゲージUDshの中点Mは、溝下ゲージUDshを規定する2点の中点をいう。
 このとき、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ142~145が、直線L4よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルト層14の露出が防止される。
 また、図6において、最外周方向主溝2の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshと、タイヤ接地端Tからラグ溝4の開口端部41までのタイヤ径方向の距離Drgとが、0.7≦Drg/(GDsh+UDsh)≦1.1の関係を有する。これにより、タイヤが更生可能か否かを精度良く判断できる。
 図10~図12は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤの変形例を示す説明図である。これらの図は、ショルダー陸部3のラグ溝4の変形例を示している。
 図6の構成では、ラグ溝4が、タイヤ幅方向に延在してショルダー陸部3を貫通し、最外周方向主溝2とバットレス部とにそれぞれ開口している。また、ショルダー陸部3内に底上部42を有している。
 しかし、これに限らず、ラグ溝4は、少なくともバットレス部に開口すれば良い。ラグ溝4の開口端部41がタイヤの更生時期を判断するためのマークとして機能する。
 例えば、図10に示すように、ラグ溝4が、一方の端部にてバットレス部に開口し、他方の端部にてショルダー陸部3内で終端しても良い。また、図11に示すように、ラグ溝4が、バットレス部のみに形成され、タイヤ接地端Tからバットレス部に沿ってタイヤ径方向内側に延在しても良い。また、図12に示すように、ラグ溝4が、底上部42により底上げされたまま最外周方向主溝2に開口しても良い。
[ラウンド形状のショルダー部]
 図13は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤの変形例を示す説明図である。同図は、ラウンド形状のショルダー部を有する構成を示している。
 図1の構成では、図2に示すように、ショルダー部がスクエア形状を有し、タイヤ接地端Tとトレッド端Pとが一致している。すなわち、スクエア形状のショルダー部を有する構成では、スクエア形状のエッジ部の点がトレッド端Pとなる。
 しかし、これに限らず、図4に示すように、ショルダー部がラウンド形状を有しても良い。かかる場合には、上記のように、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、トレッド部のプロファイルとサイドウォール部のプロファイルとの交点P’をとり、この交点P’からショルダー部に引いた垂線の足をトレッド端Pとする。このため、通常は、タイヤ接地端Tとトレッド端Pとが相互に異なる位置にある。
 また、図13の構成では、比Gsh/Gccが、1.20≦Gsh/Gcc≦1.40の範囲にあることが好ましい。
[付加的事項]
 また、図1において、トレッド幅TWと、タイヤ総幅SWとが、0.83≦TW/SW≦0.95の関係を有する。また、比TW/SWが、0.85≦TW/SW≦0.93の範囲にあることが好ましい。
 タイヤ総幅SWとは、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態としたときのサイドウォール間の(タイヤ側面の模様、文字などのすべての部分を含む)直線距離をいう。
 トレッド幅TWとは、左右のトレッド端P、Pのタイヤ回転軸方向の距離であり、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態として測定される。
 また、トレッド幅TWと、カーカス層13の断面幅Wcaとが、0.82≦TW/Wca≦0.92の関係を有する。
 カーカス層13の断面幅Wcaは、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態としたときのカーカス層13の左右の最大幅位置の直線距離をいう。
 また、図3において、内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143のうち幅狭な交差ベルト(図1では、外径側交差ベルト143)の幅Wb3と周方向補強層145の幅Wsとが、0.70≦Ws/Wb3≦0.90の関係を有することが好ましい。これにより、周方向補強層145の幅Wsが適正に確保される。
 交差ベルト142、143の幅Wb2、Wb3は、各交差ベルト142、143の左右の端部のタイヤ回転軸方向の距離であり、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態として測定される。
 また、図1および図3において、内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143のうち幅広な交差ベルト(図1では、内径側交差ベルト142)の幅Wb2とカーカス層13の断面幅Wcaとが、0.73≦Wb2/Wca≦0.89の関係を有する。また、比Wb2/Wcaが、0.78≦Wb2/Wca≦0.83の範囲内にあることが好ましい。
 また、周方向補強層145の幅Wsと、カーカス層13の断面幅Wcaとが、0.60≦Ws/Wca≦0.70の関係を有する。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、図1において、トレッド幅TWと、周方向補強層145の幅Wsとが、0.70≦Ws/TW≦0.90の関係を有することが好ましい。
 また、図3に示すように、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト(内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143)のうち幅狭な交差ベルト(図1では、外径側交差ベルト143)の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置される。また、幅狭な交差ベルト143の幅Wb3と、周方向補強層145のエッジ部から幅狭な交差ベルト143のエッジ部までの距離Sとが、0.03≦S/Wb3≦0.12の範囲にあることが好ましい。これにより、交差ベルト143の幅Wb3の端部と周方向補強層145の端部との距離が適正に確保される。なお、この点は、周方向補強層145が分割構造を有する構成(図示省略)においても、同様である。
 周方向補強層145の距離Sは、タイヤを規定リムに装着して規定内圧を付与すると共に無負荷状態としたときのタイヤ幅方向の距離として測定される。
 なお、図1の構成では、図3に示すように、周方向補強層145が、1本のスチールワイヤを螺旋状に巻き廻して構成されている。しかし、これに限らず、周方向補強層145が、複数本のワイヤを相互に併走させつつ螺旋状に巻き廻わして構成されても良い(多重巻き構造)。このとき、ワイヤの本数が、5本以下であることが好ましい。また、5本のワイヤを多重巻きしたときの単位あたりの巻き付け幅が、12[mm]以下であることが好ましい。これにより、複数本(2本以上5本以下)のワイヤをタイヤ周方向に対して±5[deg]の範囲内で傾斜させつつ適正に巻き付け得る。
 また、一対の交差ベルト142、143のベルトコードがスチールワイヤであり、一対の交差ベルト142、143が18[本/50mm]以上28[本/50mm]以下のエンド数を有することが好ましく、20[本/50mm]以上25[本/50mm]以下のエンド数を有することがより好ましい。また、周方向補強層145のベルトコードが、スチールワイヤであり、且つ、17[本/50mm]以上30[本/50mm]以下のエンド数を有することが好ましい。これにより、各ベルトプライ142、143、145の強度が適正に確保される。
 また、一対の交差ベルト142、143のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスE2、E3と、周方向補強層145のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEsとが、0.90≦Es/E2≦1.10かつ0.90≦Es/E3≦1.10の関係を有することが好ましい。また、周方向補強層145のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEsが、4.5[MPa]≦Es≦7.5[MPa]の範囲内にあることが好ましい。これにより、各ベルトプライ142、143、145のモジュラスが適正化される。
 100%伸張時モジュラスは、JIS-K6251(3号ダンベル使用)に従った室温での引張試験により測定される。
 また、一対の交差ベルト142、143のコートゴムの破断伸びλ2、λ3が、λ2≧200[%]かつλ3≧200[%]の範囲にあることが好ましい。また、周方向補強層145のコートゴムの破断伸びλsが、λs≧200[%]の範囲にあることが好ましい。これにより、各ベルトプライ142、143、145の耐久性が適正に確保される。
 破断伸びは、JIS-K7162規定の1B形(厚さ3mmのダンベル形)の試験片について、JIS-K7161に準拠して引張試験機(INSTRON5585H、インストロン社製)を用いた引張速度2[mm/分]での引張試験により測定される。
 また、周方向補強層145を構成するベルトコードの部材時において引張り荷重100[N]から300[N]時の伸びが1.0[%]以上2.5[%]以下、タイヤ時(タイヤから取り出したもの)において引張り荷重500[N]から1000[N]時の伸びが0.5[%]以上2.0[%]以下であることが好ましい。かかるベルトコード(ハイエロンゲーションスチールワイヤ)は、通常のスチールワイヤよりも低荷重負荷時の伸び率がよく、製造時からタイヤ使用時にかけて周方向補強層145にかかる負荷に耐えることができるので、周方向補強層145の損傷を抑制できる点で好ましい。
 ベルトコードの伸びは、JIS-G3510に準拠して測定される。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、トレッドゴム15の破断伸びが、400[%]以上の範囲にあることが好ましく、450[%]以上であることがより好ましい。これにより、トレッドゴム15の強度が確保される。なお、トレッドゴム15の破断伸びの上限は、特に限定がないが、トレッドゴム15のゴムコンパウンドの種類により制約を受ける。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、トレッドゴム15の硬度が、60以上の範囲にあることが好ましい。これにより、トレッドゴム15の強度が適正に確保される。なお、トレッドゴム15の硬度の上限は、特に限定がないが、トレッドゴム15のゴムコンパウンドの種類により制約を受ける。
 ゴム硬度とは、JIS-K6263に準拠したJIS-A硬度をいう。
[ベルトエッジクッションの二色構造]
 図14は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤの変形例を示す説明図である。同図は、ベルト層14のタイヤ幅方向外側の端部の拡大図を示している。また、同図では、周方向補強層145およびベルトエッジクッション19にハッチングを付してある。
 図1の構成では、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト142、143のうち幅狭な交差ベルト143の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置されている。また、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間であって一対の交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部に対応する位置に、ベルトエッジクッション19が挟み込まれて配置されている。具体的には、ベルトエッジクッション19が、周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側に配置されて周方向補強層145に隣接し、周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側の端部から一対の交差ベルト142、143のタイヤ幅方向外側の端部まで延在して配置されている。
 また、図1の構成では、ベルトエッジクッション19が、タイヤ幅方向外側に向かうに連れて肉厚を増加させることにより、全体として、周方向補強層145よりも肉厚な構造を有している。また、ベルトエッジクッション19が、各交差ベルト142、143のコートゴムよりも低い100%伸張時モジュラスEを有している。具体的には、ベルトエッジクッション19の100%伸張時モジュラスEと、コートゴムのモジュラスEcoとが、0.60≦E/Eco≦0.95の関係を有している。これにより、一対の交差ベルト142、143間かつ周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側の領域におけるゴム材料のセパレーションの発生が抑制されている。
 これに対して、図14の構成では、図1の構成において、ベルトエッジクッション19が、応力緩和ゴム191と、端部緩和ゴム192とから成る二色構造を有する。応力緩和ゴム191は、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間であって周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側に配置されて周方向補強層145に隣接する。端部緩和ゴム192は、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間であって、応力緩和ゴム191のタイヤ幅方向外側かつ一対の交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部に対応する位置に配置されて応力緩和ゴム191に隣接する。したがって、ベルトエッジクッション19が、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、応力緩和ゴム191と端部緩和ゴム192とをタイヤ幅方向に連設して成る構造を有し、周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側の端部から一対の交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部までの領域を埋めて配置される。
 また、図14の構成では、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinと、周方向補強層145のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEsとが、Ein<Esの関係を有する。具体的には、応力緩和ゴム191のモジュラスEinと、周方向補強層145のモジュラスEsとが、0.6≦Ein/Es≦0.9の関係を有することが好ましい。
 また、図14の構成では、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinと、各交差ベルト142、143のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEcoとが、Ein<Ecoの関係を有する。具体的には、応力緩和ゴム191のモジュラスEinと、コートゴムのモジュラスEcoとが、0.6≦Ein/Eco≦0.9の関係を有することが好ましい。
 また、図14の構成では、端部緩和ゴム192の100%伸張時モジュラスEoutと、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinとが、Eout<Einの関係を有することが好ましい。また、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinが、4.0[MPa]≦Ein≦5.5[MPa]の範囲内にあることが好ましい。
 図14の構成では、周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側に応力緩和ゴム191が配置されるので、周方向補強層145のエッジ部かつ交差ベルト142、143間における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される。また、交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部に対応する位置に端部緩和ゴム192が配置されるので、交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される。これらにより、周方向補強層145の周辺ゴムのセパレーションが抑制される。
[付加ベルトを最内層に有する構成]
 図15は、図1に記載した空気入りタイヤの変形例を示す説明図である。同図は、タイヤ赤道面CLを境界としたトレッド部の片側領域を示している。
 図1の構成では、図2および図3に示すように、付加ベルト144が、ベルト層14の最外層に設置されている。このため、内径側交差ベルト142が、ベルト層14の最内層に配置されて、カーカス層13に隣接している。
 しかし、これに限らず、図15に示すように、付加ベルト144が、カーカス層13と内径側交差ベルト142との間に挟み込まれて、これらに隣接して配置されても良い。すなわち、図6の構成では、カーカス層13の外周に付加ベルト144が配置され、この付加ベルト144の外周に内径側交差ベルト142が積層され、この内径側交差ベルト142の外周に周方向補強層145および外径側交差ベルト143が順に積層されて、ベルト層14が構成されている。
[効果]
 以上説明したように、この空気入りタイヤ1は、カーカス層13と、カーカス層13のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるベルト層14と、ベルト層14のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるトレッドゴム15とを備える(図1参照)。また、タイヤ周方向に延在する少なくとも3本の周方向主溝2と、これらの周方向主溝2に区画されて成る複数の陸部3とを備える。また、ベルト層14が、タイヤ周方向に対して絶対値で46[deg]以上80[deg]以下のベルト角度を有すると共に相互に異符号のベルト角度を有する内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143と、タイヤ周方向に対して±5[deg]の範囲内にあるベルト角度を有すると共に内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143の間に配置される周方向補強層145とを備える(図2および図3参照)。また、タイヤ赤道面CLにおけるトレッドプロファイルからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gccと、トレッド端Pからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gshとが、1.10≦Gsh/Gccの関係を有する。
 かかる構成では、一対の交差ベルト142、143が高角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ幅方向の剛性が確保される。また、周方向補強層145および付加ベルト144が、低角度ベルトとして機能して、タイヤ周方向の剛性が確保される。これにより、タイヤ周方向とタイヤ幅方向との剛性バランスが適正化されて、経時によるトレッド部の変形が抑制される。これにより、タイヤ更生時における台タイヤの歩留まりが向上して、タイヤの更生性能が向上する利点がある。
 特に、上記の構成では、一対の交差ベルト142、143が高角度ベルトとして機能するため、他の高角度ベルト(例えば、絶対値で45[deg]以上70[deg]以下のベルト角度を有し、カーカス層と内径側交差ベルトとの間に配置されるベルトプライ)を省略できる。これにより、タイヤ重量を軽量化できる利点がある。
 また、上記の構成では、周方向補強層145が、内径側交差ベルト142と外径側交差ベルト143との間に配置されるので、タイヤ幅方向に大きく傾斜するベルト角度をもつ一対の交差ベルト142、143と、タイヤ周方向に大きく傾斜するベルト角度をもつ周方向補強層145とがタイヤ径方向に交互に積層される。すると、例えば、周方向補強層が一対の交差ベルトのタイヤ径方向内側あるいはタイヤ径方向外側に配置される構成(図示省略)と比較して、これらのベルトプライ142、143、145間におけるタイヤ径方向の剛性分布が均一化される。これにより、タイヤのベルト耐久性能が向上する利点がある。
 また、上記の構成では、比Gsh/Gccが大きく(1.10≦Gsh/Gccの範囲に)設定されてショルダー部が肉厚構造を有するので、使用済みタイヤの更正時にて、バフ研磨量を適正に確保しつつベルトプライの露出を防止できる。これにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。また、ショルダー部が肉厚構造を有するので、特に、使用済みタイヤのショルダー摩耗部分が広範な場合にも、このショルダー摩耗部分をバフ研磨により適正に切除できる点で好ましい。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、末端摩耗面WEに対する周方向補強層145の距離Dcc、Deが適正化されるので、比De/Dccが略等しい構成と比較して、タイヤ接地時におけるショルダー陸部3の接地面圧が上昇する。すると、周方向補強層145よりもタイヤ幅方向外側領域におけるタイヤの径成長が抑制されて、ベルト層14の変形が抑制される。これにより、使用済みタイヤのバフ研磨時におけるベルト層14の露出が抑制されて、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の周方向主溝(最外周方向主溝)2の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshが、0.20≦UDsh/GDshの関係を有する。かかる構成では、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshが適正に確保されるので、使用済みタイヤのショルダー摩耗が台タイヤの表面に残存しないように、十分なバフ研磨量を確保できる。これにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、内径側交差ベルト142の幅Wb2が、外径側交差ベルト143の幅Wb3よりも広い(図2および図3参照)。これにより、ベルト層14の耐久性が保持されて、ベルト層14がタガ効果を効果的に発揮できる利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ赤道面CLに最も近い周方向主溝2の溝深さGDccおよび溝下ゲージUDccが、0.15≦UDcc/GDccの関係を有する(図5参照)。かかる構成では、周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDccが適正に確保されて、使用済みタイヤのショルダー摩耗が台タイヤの表面に残存しないように、十分なバフ研磨量を確保できる。これにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、ショルダー陸部3が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝4を備える(図6参照)。また、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、ベルト層14を構成する複数のベルトプライ141~145の端部のうち最外周方向主溝2よりもタイヤ幅方向外側かつタイヤ径方向の最も外側にある端部からタイヤ回転軸に平行な直線L1を引くときに、ラグ溝4の開口端部41が、直線L1よりもタイヤ径方向外側にある。かかる構成では、ラグ溝4の開口端部41がタイヤ更生時期を判断するためのマークとして用いられるときに、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルトプライの端部の露出が防止される。これにより、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝底を通りタイヤプロファイルに平行な曲線L2を引くときに、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ141~145が、曲線L2よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある(図7参照)。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルトプライの端部の露出が防止されて、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、上記の曲線L2とバットレス部との交点Qをとるときに、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshと、交点Qからラグ溝4の開口端部41までのタイヤ径方向の距離ΔDrgとが、タイヤ径方向外側を正として-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDsh≦1.0の関係を有する(図7参照)。かかる構成では、ラグ溝4の開口端部41がタイヤ更生時期を判断するためのマークとして用いられるときに、この開口端部41の位置が適正化される利点がある。すなわち、ΔDrg/UDsh≦1.0であることにより、タイヤの更生時期を遅らせて、タイヤの一次寿命を延長できる。-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDshであることにより、タイヤが更生可能か否かを精度良く判断できる。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝底とラグ溝4の開口端部41とを結ぶ直線L3を引くときに、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ142~145が、直線L3よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある(図8参照)。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルトプライの端部の露出が防止されて、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshの中点Mとラグ溝4の開口端部41とを結ぶ直線L4を引くときに、ベルト層14を構成するすべてのベルトプライ142~145が、直線L4よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある(図9参照)。これにより、バフ処理時における台タイヤ表面へのベルトプライの端部の露出が防止されて、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、最外周方向主溝2の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshと、タイヤ接地端Tからラグ溝4の開口端部41までのタイヤ径方向の距離Drgとが、0.7≦Drg/(GDsh+UDsh)≦1.1の関係を有する(図6参照)。かかる構成では、ラグ溝4の開口端部41がタイヤ更生時期を判断するためのマークとして用いられるときに、この開口端部41の位置が適正化される。これにより、タイヤが更生可能か否かを精度良く判断できる利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145の左右の端部が、タイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の周方向主溝(最外周方向主溝)2、2よりもタイヤ幅方向外側にある(図1および図2参照)。かかる構成では、周方向補強層145が、最外周方向主溝2の溝下まで延在することにより、最外周方向主溝2におけるタイヤ径の成長が抑制される。これにより、最外周方向主溝2の溝下ゲージUDshが確保されるので、十分なバフ研磨量が確保されて、台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、トレッド幅TWと、周方向補強層145の幅Wsとが、0.70≦Ws/TW≦0.90の関係を有する(図1参照)。かかる構成では、比Ws/TWが適正化されることにより、タイヤ接地時におけるショルダー陸部3の変形量が効果的に低減される(図4(b)参照)。これにより、経時によるトレッド部の変形が抑制されて、タイヤ更生時における台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。すなわち、0.70≦Ws/TWであることにより、周方向補強層145の幅Wsが適正に確保されて、タイヤ接地時におけるショルダー陸部3の変形量が低減される。また、Ws/TW≦0.90であることにより、タイヤ接地時において、各ベルトプライ端部の変形が抑制されることにより、各ベルトプライ端部における歪みが低減される。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145の幅Wsと、カーカス層13の断面幅Wcaとが、0.60≦Ws/Wca≦0.70の関係を有する(図1参照)。かかる構成では、周方向補強層145の幅Wsが適正化されることにより、タイヤ周方向とタイヤ幅方向との剛性バランスが適正化される。これにより、経時によるトレッド部の変形が抑制されて、タイヤ更生時における台タイヤの歩留まりが向上する利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、トレッド幅TWと、カーカス層13の断面幅Wcaとが、0.82≦TW/Wca≦0.92の関係を有する(図1参照)。かかる構成では、ベルト層14が周方向補強層145を有することにより、センター領域の径成長が抑制される。さらに、比TW/Wcaが上記の範囲内にあることにより、センター領域とショルダー領域との径成長差が緩和されて、タイヤ幅方向にかかる接地圧分布が均一化される。これにより、タイヤの接地圧分布が均一化される利点がある。すなわち、0.82≦TW/Wcaであることにより、タイヤ内エアボリュームが確保され、撓みが抑制される。また、TW/Wca≦0.92であることにより、ショルダー部のせり上がりが抑制されて、接地圧分布が均一化される。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、内径側交差ベルト142、外径側交差ベルト143、周方向補強層145および付加ベルト144から成る積層体(図2および図3では、ベルト層14)が、カーカス層13に隣接して配置される(図2および図3参照)。かかる構成では、例えば、かかる積層体とカーカス層との間に高角度ベルト(絶対値で45[deg]以上70[deg]以下のベルト角度)を有する構成と比較して、同様の機能を保ちつつベルトプライを1枚除外することができるので、タイヤ重量を軽量化できる利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145のベルトコードが、スチールワイヤであり、且つ、17[本/50mm]以上30[本/50mm]以下のエンド数を有する。これにより、周方向補強層145によるセンター領域の径成長の抑制作用が適正に確保される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145を構成するベルトコードの部材時における引張り荷重100[N]から300[N]時の伸びが、1.0[%]以上2.5[%]以下である。これにより、周方向補強層145によるトレッド部センター領域の径成長の抑制作用が適正に確保される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145を構成するベルトコードのタイヤ時における引張り荷重500[N]から1000[N]時の伸びが、0.5[%]以上2.0[%]以下である。これにより、周方向補強層145によるセンター領域の径成長の抑制作用が適正に確保される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト(内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143)のうち幅狭な交差ベルト(図1では、外径側交差ベルト143)の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置される(図3参照)。また、空気入りタイヤ1は、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間であって周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側に配置されて周方向補強層145に隣接する応力緩和ゴム191と、一対の交差ベルト142、143の間であって応力緩和ゴム191のタイヤ幅方向外側かつ一対の交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部に対応する位置に配置されて応力緩和ゴム191に隣接する端部緩和ゴム192とを備える(図14参照)。
 かかる構成では、周方向補強層145が一対の交差ベルト142、143のうち幅狭な交差ベルト143の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置されることにより、周方向補強層145のエッジ部における周辺ゴムの疲労破断が抑制される利点がある。また、周方向補強層145のタイヤ幅方向外側に応力緩和ゴム191が配置されるので、周方向補強層145のエッジ部かつ交差ベルト142、143間における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される。また、交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部に対応する位置に端部緩和ゴム192が配置されるので、交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される。これらにより、周方向補強層145の周辺ゴムのセパレーションが抑制される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinと、一対の交差ベルト(内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143)のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEcoとが、Ein<Ecoの関係を有する(図14参照)。これにより、応力緩和ゴム191のモジュラスEinが適正化されて、周方向補強層145のエッジ部かつ交差ベルト142、143間における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinと、一対の交差ベルト142、143(内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143)のコートゴムの100%伸張時モジュラスEcoとが、0.60≦Ein/Eco≦0.90の関係を有する(図14参照)。これにより、応力緩和ゴム191のモジュラスEinが適正化されて、周方向補強層145のエッジ部かつ交差ベルト142、143間における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、応力緩和ゴム191の100%伸張時モジュラスEinが、4.0[MPa]≦Ein≦5.5[MPa]の範囲内にある(図14参照)。これにより、応力緩和ゴム191のモジュラスEinが適正化されて、周方向補強層145のエッジ部かつ交差ベルト142、143間における周辺ゴムの剪断歪みが緩和される利点がある。
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1では、周方向補強層145が、一対の交差ベルト(内径側交差ベルト142および外径側交差ベルト143)のうち幅狭な交差ベルト(図1では、外径側交差ベルト143)の左右のエッジ部よりもタイヤ幅方向内側に配置される(図1参照)。また、幅狭な交差ベルト143の幅Wb3と、周方向補強層145のエッジ部から幅狭な交差ベルト143のエッジ部までの距離Sとが、0.03≦S/Wb3≦0.12の範囲にある(図3参照)。これにより、交差ベルト142、143のエッジ部と周方向補強層145のエッジ部との位置関係S/Wb3が適正化される利点がある。すなわち、0.03≦S/Wb3であることにより、周方向補強層145の端部と交差ベルト143の端部との距離が適正に確保されて、これらのベルトプライ145、143の端部における周辺ゴムのセパレーションが抑制される。また、S/Wb3≦0.12であることにより、交差ベルト143の幅Wb3に対する周方向補強層145の幅Wsが確保されて、周方向補強層145によるタガ効果が適正に確保される。
[適用対象]
 また、この空気入りタイヤ1は、タイヤが正規リムにリム組みされると共にタイヤに正規内圧および正規荷重が付与された状態にて、偏平率が40[%]以上75[%]以下である重荷重用タイヤに適用されることが好ましい。重荷重用タイヤでは、乗用車用タイヤと比較して、タイヤ使用時の負荷が大きい。このため、周方向補強層の配置領域と、周方向補強層よりもタイヤ幅方向外側の領域との径差が大きくなり易い。また、上記のような低い偏平率を有するタイヤでは、接地形状が鼓形状となり易い。そこで、かかる重荷重用タイヤを適用対象とすることにより、周方向補強層145の作用効果が顕著に得られる。
 図16および図17は、この発明の実施の形態にかかる空気入りタイヤの性能試験の結果を示す図表である。
 この性能試験では、相互に異なる複数の試験タイヤについて、更生性能に関する評価が行われた。この評価では、タイヤサイズ315/60R22.5の試験タイヤがリムサイズ22.5”×9.00”のリムに組み付けられ、この試験タイヤに空気圧900[kPa]が付与される。
 また、試験車両である4×2のトラクタートレーラーが試験タイヤを装着して走行し、ショルダー陸部のラグ溝の開口部まで摩耗した試験タイヤを各仕様について100本ずつ抽出する。そして、これらの試験タイヤについてバフ研磨処理し、台タイヤ表面におけるベルトプライの露出および周方向主溝の溝底ラインの残存を観察して、更生の可否を評価する。この評価は、数値が大きいほど好ましい。特に、評価が80[%]以上であれば、従来例に対して十分な優位性ある効果があり、評価が85[%]以上であれば、飛躍的に優位性ある効果があるといえる。
 実施例1の試験タイヤは、図1~図3に記載した構成を有する。また、主要寸法が、TW=275[mm]、Gcc=32.8[mm]、GDcc=13.0[mm]、GDsh=13.5[mm]に設定されている。また、図7に示すように、ベルト層14の各ベルトプライ142~145が、最外周方向主溝2の溝底から引いた仮想線L2よりもタイヤ幅方向内側にある。また、実施例2~28の試験タイヤは、実施例1の試験タイヤ1の変形例である。
 従来例の試験タイヤは、図1~図3の構成において、周方向補強層145を備えていない。また、内径側交差ベルト142とカーカス層13との間に、60[deg]のベルト角度をもつ高角度ベルトを備える。したがって、ベルト層14が、4枚のベルトプライを積層した構造を有している。また、一対の交差ベルト142、143が、タイヤ周方向寄り(45[deg]以下)のベルト角度を有している。
 試験結果が示すように、実施例1~28の試験タイヤでは、タイヤの耐ベルトエッジセパレーション性能および台タイヤの歩留まりが向上することが分かる。

Claims (16)

  1.  カーカス層と、前記カーカス層のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるベルト層と、前記ベルト層のタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるトレッドゴムとを備えると共に、タイヤ周方向に延在する少なくとも3本の周方向主溝と、これらの周方向主溝に区画されて成る複数の陸部とを備える空気入りタイヤであって、
     前記ベルト層が、
     タイヤ周方向に対して絶対値で46[deg]以上80[deg]以下のベルト角度を有すると共に相互に異符号のベルト角度を有する内径側交差ベルトおよび外径側交差ベルトと、
     タイヤ周方向に対して±5[deg]の範囲内にあるベルト角度を有すると共に前記内径側交差ベルトおよび前記外径側交差ベルトの間に配置される周方向補強層とを備え、且つ、
     タイヤ赤道面におけるトレッドプロファイルからタイヤ内周面までの距離Gccと、トレッド端からタイヤ内周面までの距離Gshとが、1.10≦Gsh/Gccの関係を有することを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。
  2.  タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、前記周方向主溝の末端摩耗面WEを引くときに、タイヤ赤道面上における前記周方向補強層から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Dccと、前記周方向補強層の端部から末端摩耗面WEまでの距離Deとが、1.06≦De/Dccの関係を有する請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  3.  タイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の前記周方向主溝の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshが、0.20≦UDsh/GDshの関係を有する請求項1または2に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  4.  前記内径側交差ベルトの幅Wb2が、前記外径側交差ベルトの幅Wb3よりも広い請求項1~3のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  5.  タイヤ赤道面に最も近い前記周方向主溝の溝深さGDccおよび溝下ゲージUDccが、0.15≦UDcc/GDccの関係を有する請求項1~4のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  6.  前記周方向主溝のうちタイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の前記周方向主溝を最外周方向主溝と呼ぶと共に、前記左右の最外周方向主溝よりもタイヤ幅方向外側にある前記陸部をショルダー陸部と呼ぶときに、
     前記ショルダー陸部が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝を備え、且つ、
     タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、前記ベルト層を構成する複数のベルトプライの端部のうち前記最外周方向主溝よりもタイヤ幅方向外側かつタイヤ径方向の最も外側にある端部からタイヤ回転軸に平行な直線L1を引くときに、
     前記ラグ溝の開口端部が、直線L1よりもタイヤ径方向外側にある請求項1~5のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  7.  タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、前記最外周方向主溝の溝底を通りタイヤプロファイルに平行な曲線L2を引くときに、
     前記ベルト層を構成するすべてのベルトプライが、曲線L2よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある請求項1~6のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  8.  前記ショルダー陸部が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝を備え、且つ、
     曲線L2とバットレス部との交点Qをとるときに、
     前記最外周方向主溝の溝下ゲージUDshと、交点Qから前記ラグ溝の開口端部までのタイヤ径方向の距離ΔDrgとが、タイヤ径方向外側を正として-1.0≦ΔDrg/UDsh≦1.0の関係を有する請求項7に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  9.  前記ショルダー陸部が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝を備え、且つ、
     タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、前記最外周方向主溝の溝底と前記ラグ溝の開口端部とを結ぶ直線L3を引くときに、
     前記ベルト層を構成するすべてのベルトプライが、直線L3よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある請求項1~8のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  10.  前記ショルダー陸部が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝を備え、且つ、
     タイヤ子午線方向の断面視にて、前記最外周方向主溝の溝下ゲージUDshの中点Mと前記ラグ溝の開口端部とを結ぶ直線L4を引くときに、
     前記ベルト層を構成するすべてのベルトプライが、直線L4よりもタイヤ径方向内側にある請求項1~9のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  11.  前記ショルダー陸部が、バットレス部に開口するラグ溝を備え、且つ、
     前記最外周方向主溝の溝深さGDshおよび溝下ゲージUDshと、タイヤ接地端から前記ラグ溝の開口端部までのタイヤ径方向の距離Drgとが、0.7≦Drg/(GDsh+UDsh)≦1.1の関係を有する請求項9または10に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  12.  前記周方向補強層の左右の端部が、タイヤ幅方向の最も外側にある左右の前記周方向主溝よりもタイヤ幅方向外側にある請求項1~11のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  13.  トレッド幅TWと、前記周方向補強層の幅Wsとが、0.70≦Ws/TW≦0.90の関係を有する請求項1~12のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  14.  前記周方向補強層の幅Wsと、前記カーカス層の断面幅Wcaとが、0.60≦Ws/Wca≦0.70の関係を有する請求項1~13のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
  15.  トレッド幅TWと、前記カーカス層の断面幅Wcaとが、0.82≦TW/Wca≦0.92の関係を有する請求項1~14のいずれか一つに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
