Abstract
機械の潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を即時に特定可能にすることができる潤滑油劣化センサを提供する。 潤滑油劣化センサ10は、機械90に設置されて機械90の潤滑油91の劣化を検出するためのセンサであって、白色の光を発する白色LED52と、受けた光の色を検出するRGBセンサ53と、潤滑油91が侵入するための隙間である油用隙間40aが形成された隙間形成部材40と、白色LED52、RGBセンサ53および隙間形成部材40を支持する支持部材20とを備えており、隙間形成部材40は、白色LED52によって発せられる光を透過させ、油用隙間40aは、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路上に配置されていることを特徴とする。
Description
本発明は、機械の潤滑油の劣化を検出するための潤滑油劣化センサに関する。
従来、潤滑油劣化センサとして、潤滑油が侵入するためのオイル侵入用空隙部を赤外LED(Light Emitting Diode)からフォトダイオードまでの光路上に形成し、赤外LEDの出射光に対するオイル侵入用空隙部内の潤滑油による光吸収量をフォトダイオードの受光量によって測定することによって、測定した光吸収量と相関する潤滑油の劣化度を判定するオイル劣化度センサが知られている(例えば、特許文献1、2参照。)。
しかしながら、特許文献1、2に記載されたオイル劣化度センサは、潤滑油の劣化度として潤滑油中の不溶解分の濃度を測定することができるが、潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を特定することができないという問題がある。
潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を特定する技術としては、潤滑油の濾過後のメンブランフィルタにLEDによって光を照射して、メンブランフィルタ上の汚染物質からの反射光を受光素子でRGBのデジタル値に変換し、変換したRGBのデジタル値に基づいて潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を特定する技術が知られている(例えば、非特許文献1、2参照。)。
しかしながら、非特許文献1、2に記載された技術は、機械から潤滑油を抜き取ってメンブランフィルタで濾過する必要があり、即時性に欠けるという問題がある。
そこで、本発明は、機械の潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を即時に特定可能にすることができる潤滑油劣化センサを提供することを目的とする。
本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、機械に設置されて前記機械の潤滑油の劣化を検出するための潤滑油劣化センサであって、白色の光を発する白色発光素子と、受けた光の色を検出するカラー受光素子と、前記潤滑油が侵入するための隙間である油用隙間が形成された隙間形成部材と、前記白色発光素子、前記カラー受光素子および前記隙間形成部材を支持する支持部材とを備えており、前記隙間形成部材は、前記白色発光素子によって発せられる光を透過させ、前記油用隙間は、前記白色発光素子から前記カラー受光素子までの光路上に配置されていることを特徴とする。
この構成により、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、白色発光素子によって発せられた白色の光のうち油用隙間において潤滑油中の汚染物質によって吸収されなかった波長の光に対して、カラー受光素子によって色を検出するので、機械の潤滑油中の汚染物質の色を即時に検出することができる。つまり、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、カラー受光素子によって検出した色に基づいて機械の潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を即時に特定可能にすることができる。
また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサの前記隙間形成部材は、前記光路を曲げる反射面が形成されていても良い。
この構成により、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、白色発光素子からカラー受光素子までの光路が一直線である構成と比較して、白色発光素子およびカラー受光素子を近くに配置して全体を小型化することができる。また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、隙間形成部材が油用隙間を形成する役割だけでなく、光路を曲げる役割も備えているので、隙間形成部材の代わりに光路を曲げる部材を別途備える構成と比較して、部品点数を減らすことができる。
また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサの前記隙間形成部材は、前記光路を90度曲げる前記反射面がそれぞれ形成されている2つの直角プリズムを備えており、前記2つの直角プリズムの前記反射面によって前記光路を180度曲げ、前記油用隙間は、前記2つの直角プリズムの間に形成されていても良い。
この構成により、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、部品点数の少ない簡単な構成で小型化することができる。
また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、前記光路の少なくとも一部を囲む光路囲み部材を備えており、前記光路囲み部材は、光の反射を防止する処理が表面に施されていても良い。
この構成により、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、不要な反射光をカラー受光素子が受けることを防止するので、不要な反射光をカラー受光素子が受ける構成と比較して、潤滑油中の汚染物質の色の検出精度を向上することができる。
また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサの前記隙間形成部材のうち前記油用隙間を形成する面に、スラッジ等の潤滑油中の汚れが付着し難いコーティングが施されているか、あるいは前記隙間形成部材が、スラッジ等の潤滑油中の汚れが付着し難い材料からなっていても良い。さらに、前記隙間形成部材のうち前記油用隙間を形成する面は、撥油処理が施されていても良い。
この構成により、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、潤滑油中の汚染物質の色の検出精度を向上することができる。また、本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、隙間形成部材のうち前記油用隙間を形成する面に、スラッジ等の潤滑油中の汚れが付着し難いコーティングが施されているか、あるいは前記隙間形成部材が、スラッジ等の潤滑油中の汚れが付着し難い材料からなっている場合、油用隙間を形成する面に汚れが付着し難いので、潤滑油中の汚染物質の色の検出精度が汚れの付着によって低下することを抑えることができる。
本発明の潤滑油劣化センサは、機械の潤滑油中の汚染物質の種類を即時に特定可能にすることができる。
以下、本発明の一実施の形態について、図面を用いて説明する。
まず、本実施の形態に係る潤滑油劣化センサの構成について説明する。
図1は、本実施の形態に係る潤滑油劣化センサ10の正面図である。図2は、機械90に取り付けられた状態での潤滑油劣化センサ10の正面断面図である。
図1および図2に示すように、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、機械90に設置されて機械90の潤滑油91の劣化を検出するための装置である。
潤滑油劣化センサ10は、潤滑油劣化センサ10の各部品を支持するアルミニウム合金製の支持部材20と、支持部材20にネジ11によって固定されたアルミニウム合金製のホルダ30と、ホルダ30に保持された隙間形成部材40と、支持部材20にネジ12によって固定された回路基板51を備えている電子部品群50と、支持部材20にネジ13によって固定されたアルミニウム合金製のカバー60とを備えている。
隙間形成部材40は、2つのガラス製の直角プリズム41、42によって構成されており、潤滑油91が侵入するための隙間である油用隙間40aが2つの直角プリズム41、42の間に形成されている。
電子部品群50は、回路基板51に実装された白色LED52と、回路基板51に実装されたRGBセンサ53と、回路基板51に対して白色LED52およびRGBセンサ53側とは反対側に配置された回路基板54と、回路基板51および回路基板54を固定する複数本の柱55と、回路基板54に対して回路基板51側とは反対側に配置された回路基板56と、回路基板54および回路基板56を固定する複数本の柱57と、回路基板54側とは反対側に回路基板56に実装されたコネクタ58とを備えている。回路基板51、回路基板54および回路基板56は、複数の電子部品が実装されている。また、回路基板51、回路基板54および回路基板56は、互いに電気的に接続されている。
潤滑油劣化センサ10は、支持部材20および機械90の間からの潤滑油91の漏れを防止するOリング14と、支持部材20およびホルダ30の間からの潤滑油91の漏れを防止するOリング15とを備えている。
図3(a)は、支持部材20の正面図である。図3(b)は、支持部材20の正面断面図である。図4(a)は、支持部材20の側面図である。図4(b)は、支持部材20の側面断面図である。図5(a)は、支持部材20の平面図である。図5(b)は、支持部材20の底面図である。
図1~図5に示すように、支持部材20は、機械90のネジ穴90aに固定されるためのネジ部21と、機械90のネジ穴90aに対してネジ部21が回転させられるときに工具によって掴まれるための八角形状の工具接触部22と、ホルダ30が収納されるホルダ収納部23とを備えている。また、支持部材20は、白色LED52が挿入される穴24と、RGBセンサ53が挿入される穴25と、ネジ11が挿入されるための2つの穴26と、ネジ12がねじ込まれるための2つのネジ穴27と、ネジ13がねじ込まれるための2つのネジ穴28とが形成されている。
なお、支持部材20は、回路基板51を介して白色LED52およびRGBセンサ53を支持している。また、支持部材20は、ホルダ30を介して隙間形成部材40を支持している。
図6(a)は、ホルダ30の正面図である。図6(b)は、ホルダ30の正面断面図である。図7(a)は、ホルダ30の側面図である。図7(b)は、ホルダ30の側面断面図である。図8(a)は、ホルダ30の平面図である。図8(b)は、ホルダ30の底面図である。図9は、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路10aを示す図である。
図1、図2および図6~図9に示すように、ホルダ30は、直角プリズム41が収納されるプリズム収納部31と、直角プリズム42が収納されるプリズム収納部32と、白色LED52が収納されるLED収納部33とを備えている。また、ホルダ30は、RGBセンサ53用の穴34と、プリズム収納部31およびLED収納部33を連通する穴35と、プリズム収納部32および穴34を連通する穴36と、ネジ11がねじ込まれるための2つのネジ穴37と、Oリング15が嵌る溝38と、プリズム収納部31に直角プリズム41を固定する接着剤が穴35に浸入することを防止するための環状の溝39aと、プリズム収納部32に直角プリズム42を固定する接着剤が穴36に浸入することを防止するための環状の溝39bとが形成されている。
プリズム収納部31は、直角プリズム41を挟み込む2つの壁31aを備えており、壁31aにおいて接着剤によって直角プリズム41を固定している。プリズム収納部32は、直角プリズム42を挟み込む2つの壁32aを備えており、壁32aにおいて接着剤によって直角プリズム42を固定している。
ホルダ30は、LED収納部33、穴35、プリズム収納部31、プリズム収納部32、穴36および穴34によって、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路10aの少なくとも一部を囲んでおり、本発明の光路囲み部材を構成している。
ホルダ30は、例えば艶消しの黒アルマイト処理のように、光の反射を防止する処理が表面に施されている。
図9に示すように、隙間形成部材40の油用隙間40aは、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路10a上に配置されている。
直角プリズム41、42は、白色LED52によって発せられる光を透過させる。直角プリズム41は、白色LED52によって発せられる光が入射する入射面41aと、入射面41aから入射した光を反射して光の進行方向を90度曲げる反射面41bと、反射面41bで反射した光が出射する出射面41cとが形成されている。直角プリズム42は、直角プリズム41の出射面41cから出射した光が入射する入射面42aと、入射面42aから入射した光を反射して光の進行方向を90度曲げる反射面42bと、反射面42bで反射した光が出射する出射面42cとが形成されている。
直角プリズム41の入射面41a、反射面41bおよび出射面41cと、直角プリズム42の入射面42a、反射面42bおよび出射面42cとは、光学研磨されている。また、直角プリズム41の反射面41bと、直角プリズム42の反射面42bとは、アルミ蒸着膜が施されている。そして、硬度や密着力が弱いアルミ蒸着膜を保護するために、SiO2膜がアルミ蒸着膜上に更に施されている。
光路10aは、直角プリズム41の反射面41bで90度曲げられていて、直角プリズム42の反射面42bでも90度曲げられている。すなわち、光路10aは、隙間形成部材40によって180度曲げられている。
直角プリズム41の出射面41cと、直角プリズム42の入射面42aとの距離、すなわち、油用隙間40aの長さは、例えば1mmである。油用隙間40aの長さが短過ぎる場合、潤滑油91中の汚染物質が油用隙間40aを適切に流通し難いので、潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度が落ちる。一方、油用隙間40aの長さが長過ぎる場合、白色LED52から発せられた光が油用隙間40a内の潤滑油91中の汚染物質によって吸収され過ぎてRGBセンサ53まで届き難いので、やはり潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度が落ちる。したがって、油用隙間40aの長さは、潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度が高くなるように、適切に設定されることが好ましい。
白色LED52は、白色の光を発する電子部品であり、本発明の白色発光素子を構成している。白色LED52として、例えば、日亜化学工業株式会社製のNSPW500GS-K1が使用されても良い。
RGBセンサ53は、受けた光の色を検出する電子部品であり、本発明のカラー受光素子を構成している。RGBセンサ53として、例えば、浜松ホトニクス株式会社製のS9032-02が使用されても良い。
図2に示すように、コネクタ58は、潤滑油劣化センサ10の外部の装置のコネクタ95が接続されて、外部の装置からコネクタ95を介して電力が供給されるとともに、潤滑油劣化センサ10の検出結果を電気信号としてコネクタ95を介して外部の装置に出力するようになっている。
図10(a)は、カバー60の正面断面図である。図10(b)は、カバー60の側面断面図である。図11(a)は、カバー60の平面図である。図11(b)は、カバー60の底面図である。
図1、図2、図10および図11に示すように、カバー60は、コネクタ58が挿入される穴61と、ネジ13が挿入されるための2つの穴62とが形成されている。
カバー60は、例えば艶消しの黒アルマイト処理のように、光の反射を防止する処理が表面に施されている。
次に、潤滑油劣化センサ10の組立方法について説明する。
まず、ホルダ30のプリズム収納部31うち直角プリズム41の入射面41aと接触する面であって溝39aの外周側の面と、直角プリズム41の面のうちプリズム収納部31の2つの壁31aとそれぞれ接触する2つの面とに接着剤が塗られ、その接着剤によってプリズム収納部31に直角プリズム41が固定される。また、ホルダ30のプリズム収納部32うち直角プリズム42の出射面42cと接触する面であって溝39bの外周側の面と、直角プリズム42の面のうちプリズム収納部32の2つの壁32aとそれぞれ接触する2つの面とに接着剤が塗られ、その接着剤によってプリズム収納部32に直角プリズム42が固定される。また、ホルダ30のLED収納部33に白色LED52が接着剤によって固定される。
次いで、Oリング15が取り付けられたホルダ30が、Oリング14が取り付けられた支持部材20のホルダ収納部23にネジ11によって固定される。
次いで、回路基板51、RGBセンサ53、コネクタ58など、白色LED52を除く各種の電子部品が予め組み上げられた電子部品群50が支持部材20にネジ12によって固定され、白色LED52が回路基板51にハンダによって固定される。
最後に、カバー60が支持部材20にネジ13によって固定される。
次に、機械90への潤滑油劣化センサ10の設置方法について説明する。
まず、支持部材20の工具接触部22が工具によって掴まれて、機械90のネジ穴90aに支持部材20のネジ部21がねじ込まれることによって、機械90に潤滑油劣化センサ10が固定される。
そして、潤滑油劣化センサ10の外部の装置のコネクタ95がコネクタ58に接続される。
次に、潤滑油劣化センサ10の動作について説明する。
潤滑油劣化センサ10は、コネクタ58を介して外部の装置から供給される電力によって白色LED52から白色の光を発する。
そして、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、RGBセンサ53によって受けた光のRGBの各色の光量を電気信号としてコネクタ58を介して外部の装置に出力する。
なお、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、RGBセンサ53以外のセンサを別途搭載していても良い。例えば、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、潤滑油91の温度を検出する温度センサが電子部品群50に含まれている場合には、温度センサによって検出された温度も電気信号としてコネクタ58を介して外部の装置に出力することができる。
以上に説明したように、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、白色LED52によって発せられた白色の光のうち油用隙間40aにおいて潤滑油91中の汚染物質によって吸収されなかった波長の光に対して、RGBセンサ53によって色を検出するので、機械90の潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色を即時に検出することができる。つまり、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、RGBセンサ53によって検出した色に基づいて機械90の潤滑油91中の汚染物質の種類をコンピュータなどの外部の装置によって即時に特定可能にすることができる。なお、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、RGBセンサ53によって検出した色に基づいて機械90の潤滑油91中の汚染物質の種類を特定する電子部品が電子部品群50に含まれていても良い。
また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、隙間形成部材40に光路10aを曲げる反射面41b、42bが形成されているので、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路10aが一直線である構成と比較して、白色LED52およびRGBセンサ53を近くに配置して全体を小型化することができる。また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、隙間形成部材40が油用隙間40aを形成する役割だけでなく、光路10aを曲げる役割も備えているので、隙間形成部材40の代わりに光路10aを曲げる部材を別途備える構成と比較して、部品点数を減らすことができる。
特に、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、光路10aを90度曲げる反射面41b、42bがそれぞれ形成されている2つの直角プリズム41、42によって隙間形成部材40が構成されており、2つの直角プリズム41、42の反射面41b、42bによって光路10aを180度曲げ、2つの直角プリズム41、42の間に油用隙間40aが形成されている構成であるので、部品点数の少ない簡単な構成で小型化することができる。
また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、光路10aの少なくとも一部を囲むホルダ30を備えており、光の反射を防止する処理がホルダ30の表面に施されている構成であるので、不要な反射光をRGBセンサ53が受けることを防止することができる。したがって、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、不要な反射光をRGBセンサ53が受ける構成と比較して、潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度を向上することができる。
また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、隙間形成部材40のうち油用隙間40aを形成する面、すなわち、直角プリズム41の出射面41cおよび直角プリズム42の入射面42aに撥油処理が施されていても良い。潤滑油劣化センサ10は、直角プリズム41の出射面41cおよび直角プリズム42の入射面42aに撥油処理が施されている場合、潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度を向上することができる。また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、直角プリズム41の出射面41cおよび直角プリズム42の入射面42aに撥油処理が施されている場合、直角プリズム41の出射面41cおよび直角プリズム42の入射面42aに汚れが付着し難いので、潤滑油91中の汚染物質の色の検出精度が汚れの付着によって低下することを抑えることができる。
なお、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、白色LED52およびRGBセンサ53の配置が本実施の形態において説明した配置以外の配置であっても良い。例えば、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、白色LED52からRGBセンサ53までの光路10aが一直線であっても良い。
また、潤滑油劣化センサ10は、直角プリズム以外の構成によって、光路10aを曲げるようになっていても良い。
また、潤滑油中の汚れ(スラッジ)が付着し難いコーティング、材料の例としては、例えば、フッ素コーティング、透明のシリコーン樹脂等がある。

- 機械に設置されて前記機械の潤滑油の劣化を検出するための潤滑油劣化センサであって、
白色の光を発する白色発光素子と、受けた光の色を検出するカラー受光素子と、前記潤滑油が侵入するための隙間である油用隙間が形成された隙間形成部材と、前記白色発光素子、前記カラー受光素子および前記隙間形成部材を支持する支持部材とを備えており、
前記隙間形成部材は、前記白色発光素子によって発せられる光を透過させ、
前記油用隙間は、前記白色発光素子から前記カラー受光素子までの光路上に配置されていることを特徴とする潤滑油劣化センサ。 - 前記隙間形成部材は、前記光路を曲げる反射面が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の潤滑油劣化センサ。
