Abstract
Description
電解質膜、ゲル電解質電池の製造方法及びリチウムイオン二次電池に関する。
本願は、2010年9月24日に、日本に出願された特願2010-213775号、2011年3月4日に、日本に出願された特願2011-47620号、2011年5月31日に、日本に出願された特願2011-122453号、2011年6月30日に、日本に出願された特願2011-145438号、及び2011年7月6日に、出願された特願2011-150146号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
一般に、従来のリチウムイオン二次電池の多くは、負極、正極ならびにその両極の短絡を防止するセパレータから構成されており、前記セパレータに電解液が保持されている。
そして、現在のリチウムイオン二次電池の多くは、電解液としてエチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ガンマブチロラクトン、メチルカーボネート、エチルメチルカーボネート、エチルカーボネート等の各種有機溶媒に、六フッ化リン酸リチウム(LiPF6)、四フッ化ホウ素リチウム(LiBF4)、ビス(トリフルオロメチルスルホニル)イミドリチウム(LiN(SO2CF3)2)、六フッ化リン酸リチウム(LiPF6)、過塩素酸リチウム(LiClO4)、四フッ化ホウ素リチウム(LiBF4)、三フッ化メタンスルホン酸リチウム(LiCF3SO3)、六フッ化アンチモン酸リチウム(LiSbF6)、六フッ化ヒ素酸リチウム(LiAsF6)、テトラフェニルホウ酸リチウム(LiB(C6H5)4)等のリチウム塩を溶解させた非水系電解液を使用している(例えば、特許文献1~3参照)。
特に熱安定性の面で、LiPF6は60℃以上で熱分解するため、電池の上限温度を40~50℃程度に設定せざるをえなかった。
一方で、これら代表的なリチウム塩以外にも、酢酸リチウム、プロピオン酸リチウム等の有機酸のリチウム塩が知られているが、これらは有機溶媒にほとんど溶解しないため、これまでにリチウムイオン二次電池用のリチウム塩としては使用されていない。
また、リチウムイオン二次電池を電動バイクや電気自動車などの電源として用いる場合には、充電時間を短縮する、即ち急速充電特性を高めることが求められている。通常のリチウムイオン二次電池は1時間~5時間で満充電となるような充電条件で使用されているが、この充電時間を15分程度に短縮することができれば、リチウムイオン二次電池の利便性を大幅に高めることができる。
しかしながら、従来のリチウムイオン二次電池を例えば15分で満充電となるような条件で急速充電を行うと、電池特性の著しい劣化を招き、充放電の繰り返しにより容量劣化を招来する、すなわち、充放電の繰り返しによりサイクル寿命特性が低下するという問題があった。
また、本発明はより限定的な目的は、従来のリチウム塩を用いた電解質と同等のイオン伝導度を有し、且つリチウムイオンの輸率にも優れる電解質を提供することを課題とする。
(1)(A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物が配合されてなることを特徴とする電解質。
(2)前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩が、カルボン酸のリチウム塩及びスルホン酸のリチウム塩から選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする前記(1)に記載の電解質。
(3)前記(B)ホウ素化合物が、ハロゲン化ホウ素、ハロゲン化ホウ素アルキルエーテル錯体、ハロゲン化ホウ素アルコール錯体、2,4,6-トリアルコキシボロキシン、ホウ酸トリアルキル、ホウ酸トリアリール及びトリス(トリアルキルシリル)ボラートからなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする前記(1)又は(2)のいずれか一項に記載の電解質。
(4)前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩中のリチウム原子のモル数:前記(B)ホウ素化合物のモル数が100:30~100:150(モル比)であることを特徴とする前記(1)~(3)のいずれか一項に記載の電解質。
(5)前記(1)~(4)のいずれか一項に記載の電解質と、(C)有機溶媒が配合されてなることを特徴とする電解液。
(6)前記(C)有機溶媒が、炭酸エステル化合物、ラクトン化合物、エーテル化合物、カルボン酸エステル化合物、ニトリル化合物、アミド化合物及びスルホン化合物からなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする前記(5)に記載の電解液。
(7)前記(1)~(4)のいずれか一項に記載の電解質と、(D)マトリクスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とするゲル電解質。
(8)前記(5)又は(6)に記載の電解質と、(D)マトリックスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とするゲル電解質。
(9)前記(D)マトリクスポリマーが、ポリエーテル系ポリマー、フッ素系ポリマー、ポリアクリル系ポリマー、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリホスファゼン及びポリシロキサンからなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする前記(7)又は(8)に記載のゲル電解質。
(10)前記(1)~(4)のいずれか一項に記載の電解質又は前記(7)~(9)のいずれか一項に記載のゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とする電解質膜。
(11)さらに(D)マトリックスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とする前記(1)に記載の電解質。
(12)正極板及び負極板がゲル電解質層を介して積層されるゲル電解質電池の製造方法であって、
前記(7)~(9)のいずれか一項に記載のゲル電解質を混合及び加温して調製した塗工液を用いて、ゲル電解質層を形成するゲル電解質層形成工程を備えたことを特徴とするゲル電解質電池の製造方法。
(13) 前記ゲル電解質層形成工程において、前記塗工液を60℃以上で加温することを特徴とする前記(12)に記載のゲル電解質電池の製造方法。
(14)前記(4)~(9)のいずれか一項に記載の電解液又はゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
(15)前記(12)又は(13)に記載のゲル電解質電池の製造方法を用いて得られたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
また、有機酸のリチウム塩を使用した電解質は熱的に安定であるため、上記電解質を使用したリチウムイオン二次電池が使用される環境が50℃以上であっても電池性能に変化がない。
本発明の電解質は、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物が配合されてなることを特徴とする。(B)ホウ素化合物と併用することで、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩は、有機溶媒に対する溶解性が大幅に向上し、これら成分が配合された電解質は、充放電を繰り返し行うのに十分な性能を有し、リチウムイオン二次電池への適用に好適なものとなる。
前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩は、有機酸の酸基がリチウム塩を構成しているものであれば特に限定されず、前記有機酸をなす基としてはカルボキシル基、スルホン基、弱い酸性を示すヒドロキシフェニル基等の水酸基等が例示できる。前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩としては、カルボン酸又はスルホン酸のリチウム塩が好ましく、カルボン酸のリチウム塩がより好ましい。(A)有機酸のリチウム塩としては、カルボン酸のリチウム塩が好ましい理由は、カルボン酸のリチウム塩は、カルボキシル基の電荷が比較的局在化しているため、(B)ホウ素化合物と組み合わせた場合、(B)ホウ素化合物と相互作用しやすく、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩をより分散または溶解させることができるからであると推察される。
また、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩において、リチウム塩を構成する酸基の数は、特に限定されない。 例えば前記有機酸がカルボン酸の場合、そのカルボン酸のカルボキシル基の数は1~4であることが好ましい。このような範囲とすることで、前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩の非水溶媒への溶解性が一層向上する。
カルボン酸のリチウム塩は、炭素数が1~20であることが好ましい理由は、炭素数を20以下とすることにより、有機酸のリチウム塩を有機溶媒中により分散又は溶解させることができるからである。
好ましい前記カルボン酸のリチウム塩としては、具体的には、ギ酸リチウム、酢酸リチウム、プロピオン酸リチウム、酪酸リチウム、イソ酪酸リチウム、吉草酸リチウム、イソ吉草酸リチウム、シュウ酸リチウム、乳酸リチウム、酒石酸リチウム、マレイン酸リチウム、フマル酸リチウム、マロン酸リチウム、コハク酸リチウム、リンゴ酸リチウム、クエン酸リチウム、グルタル酸リチウム、アジピン酸リチウム、フタル酸リチウム、安息香酸リチウム(※ ここに、カプロン酸リチウム、エナント酸リチウム、カプリル酸リチウム、ペラルゴン酸リチウム、カプリン酸リチウム、ラウリン酸リチウム、ミリスチン酸リチウム、ペンタデシル酸リチウム、パルミチン酸リチウム、オレイン酸リチウム、リノール酸リチウムを追記して下さい)が例示できる。
そして、より好ましい前記カルボン酸のリチウム塩としては、ギ酸リチウム、酢酸リチウム、シュウ酸リチウム、マロン酸リチウム、コハク酸リチウムが例示できる。本発明において、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩が、ギ酸リチウム、酢酸リチウム、シュウ酸リチウム、マロン酸リチウム、コハク酸リチウムであることが好ましい理由は、ギ酸リチウム、酢酸リチウム、シュウ酸リチウム、マロン酸リチウム、コハク酸リチウムを用いることにより、負極表面に良好な固体電解質様の界面被膜(SEI)が形成され、良好なサイクル特性を示すからである。
本発明における(B)ホウ素化合物は特に限定されないが、好ましいものとして具体的には、三フッ化ホウ素等のハロゲン化ホウ素;三フッ化ホウ素ジメチルエーテル錯体(BF3O(CH3)2)、三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体(BF3O(C2H5)2)、三フッ化ホウ素ジn-ブチルエーテル錯体(BF3O(C4H9)2)、三フッ化ホウ素ジtert-ブチルエーテル錯体(BF3O((CH3)3C)2)、三フッ化ホウ素tert-ブチルメチルエーテル錯体(BF3O((CH3)3C)(CH3))、三フッ化ホウ素テトラヒドロフラン錯体(BF3OC4H8)等のハロゲン化ホウ素アルキルエーテル錯体;三フッ化ホウ素メタノール錯体(BF3HOCH3)、三フッ化ホウ素エタノール錯体(BF3HOC2H5)、三フッ化ホウ素プロパノール錯体(BF3HOC3H7)、三フッ化ホウ素フェノール錯体(BF3HOC6H5)等のハロゲン化ホウ素アルコール錯体;三フッ化ホウ素ピペリジニウム錯体、三フッ化ホウ素エチルアミン錯体等のハロゲン化ホウ素アミン錯体;2,4,6-トリメトキシボロキシン等の2,4,6-トリアルコキシボロキシン;ホウ酸トリメチル、ホウ酸トリエチル、ホウ酸トリ-n-プロピル、ホウ酸トリ-n-ブチル、ホウ酸トリ-n-ペンチル、ホウ酸トリ-n-ヘキシル、ホウ酸トリ-n-ヘプチル、ホウ酸トリ-n-オクチル、ホウ酸トリイソプロピル、ホウ酸トリオクタデシル等のホウ酸トリアルキル;ホウ酸トリフェニル等のホウ酸トリアリール;トリス(トリメチルシリル)ボラート等のトリス(トリアルキルシリル)ボラートが例示できる。より好ましいものとしては、ハロゲン化ホウ素又はハロゲン化ホウ素錯体が挙げられる。ハロゲン化ホウ素、ハロゲン化ホウ素アルキルエーテル錯体、及びハロゲン化ホウ素アルコール錯体からなる群から選択される一種以上であることが更に好ましい。ホウ素化合物が、上記の物質からなる群から選択される一種以上であることが好ましい理由は、ハロゲン原子の電子吸引性により強いルイス酸として働き、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩をより分散又は溶解させることができるからである。また、特に好ましいものとしては、三フッ化ホウ素又は三フッ化ホウ素錯体が挙げられる。三フッ化ホウ素錯体としては、具体的には、BF3O(CH3)2、BF3O(C2H5)2、BF3O(C4H9)2、BF3O((CH3)3C)2、BF3O((CH3)3C)(CH3)、BF3OC4H8等のハロゲン化ホウ素アルキルエーテル錯体;BF3HOCH3、BF3HOC3H7、BF3HOC6H5等のハロゲン化ホウ素アルコール錯体が例示できる。
(B)ホウ素化合物は、後述する電解液中の(A)有機酸のリチウム塩において、リチウムイオンのアニオン部からの解離を促進し、有機溶媒への溶解性を向上させる機能を有していると推測される。
なお、本発明において、「リチウムイオンの輸率」とは、「イオン伝導度全体におけるリチウムイオンによるイオン伝導度の割合」を指し、例えば、リチウムイオン二次電池における電解質膜では、1に近いほど好ましい。
(A)有機酸のリチウム塩中のリチウム原子のモル数:(B)ホウ素化合物のモル数をこのような範囲とすることにより、各種有機溶媒に対する(A)有機酸のリチウム塩の溶解度が一層向上する。また、電解質膜は、温度によらず一層優れたイオン伝導度を示すものとなる。
本発明の電解質は、前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物以外に、本発明の効果を妨げない範囲内において、その他の成分が配合されていても良い。
本発明の電解質は、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物、並びに必要に応じてその他の成分を適宜配合することで、製造することができる。各成分の配合時の添加順序、温度、時間等の各条件は、配合成分の種類に応じて任意に調節できる。
本発明の電解液は、上記本発明の電解質に(C)非水溶媒、好ましくは有機溶媒が配合されてなることを特徴とする。かかる電解液は、電解質の溶解性が良好で、長期間に渡ってその析出が抑制されるので、従来は不可能と考えられていたリチウムイオン二次電池への適用に好適なものである。
前記(C)有機溶媒は特に限定されないが、好ましいものとして具体的には、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ブチレンカーボネート、ジメチルカーボネート、メチルエチルカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、フルオロエチレンカーボネート、1,2-ジフルオロエチレンカーボネート等の炭酸エステル化合物;γ-ブチロラクトン、γ-バレロラクトン等のラクトン化合物;ギ酸メチル、ギ酸エチル、ギ酸プロピル、酢酸メチル、酢酸エチル、酢酸プロピル、プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチル、酪酸メチル等のカルボン酸エステル化合物;テトラヒドロフラン、2-メチルテトラヒドロフラン、1,3-ジオキソラン、4-メチル-1,3-ジオキソラン、ジメトキシエタン、ジエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル、テトラエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル、ポリエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル等のエーテル化合物;アセトニトリル、グルタロニトリル、アジポニトリル、メトキシアセトニトリル、3-メトキシプロピオニトリル等のニトリル化合物;N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド等のアミド化合物;スルホラン、ジメチルスルホキシド等のスルホン化合物が例示できる。
例えば、R1がエチル基であり且つR2、R3及びR4が水素原子である場合、当該分岐鎖状カーボネートは1,2-ブチレンカーボネートである。また、例えばR1及びR4がメチル基であり且つR2及びR3が水素原子である場合、当該分岐鎖状カーボネートは2,3-ブチレンカーボネートである。
(C)有機溶媒は、酸化還元電位、誘電率、粘度のバランスを考慮して、上記の物の中から適宜選択される。
本発明の電解液は、前記電解質及び有機溶媒以外に、本発明の効果を妨げない範囲内において、その他の成分が配合されていても良い。
本発明の電解液は、前記電解質及び有機溶媒、並びに必要に応じてその他の成分を適宜配合することで、製造できる。各成分の配合時の添加順序、温度、時間等の各条件は、配合成分の種類に応じて任意に調節できる。
本発明のゲル電解質は、上記本発明の電解液に、さらに(D)マトリクスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とする。前記電解液は、(D)マトリクスポリマー中に保持される。(D)マトリクスポリマーは架橋ゲル構造を有するものであってもよい。本発明のゲル電解質は、リチウムイオン二次電池における電解液の代わりに若しくは電解液と併用して使用することができる。本発明のゲル電解質はゲル状であるため、当該リチウムイオン二次電池から当該ゲル電解質が漏れる虞は極めて少ない。従って、安全性が確保される。
(D)マトリクスポリマーは、特に限定されず、固体電解質分野で公知のものが適宜使用できる。
(D)マトリクスポリマーの好ましいものとして具体的には、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリプロピレンオキシド等のポリエーテル系ポリマー;ポリフッ化ビニル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン-六フッ化プロピレン共重合体、ポリフッ化ビニリデン-六フッ化アセトン共重合体、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン等のフッ素系ポリマー;ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸エチル、ポリアクリルアミド、エチレンオキシドユニットを含むポリアクリレート等のポリアクリル系ポリマー;ポリアクリロニトリル;ポリホスファゼン;ポリシロキサンが例示できる。
(D)マトリックスポリマーは、酸化還元電位、誘電率、粘度のバランスを考慮して、上記の物の中から適宜選択される。
本発明におけるゲル電解質は、前記電解質及び有機溶媒及びマトリクスポリマー以外に、本発明の効果を妨げない範囲内において、その他の成分が配合されていても良い。
可塑剤は、例えば、電解質膜の製造時における、希釈用有機溶媒の使用の有無に従って選択できる。希釈用有機溶媒とは、後述するように電解質膜を製造する際に、電解質を希釈して、取り扱いや成型を容易にするためのものであり、最終的には乾燥によって電解質膜から除去され得るものである。
希釈用有機溶媒を使用しない場合には、可塑剤としては、上記のものが特に限定なく使用できる。
一方、希釈用有機溶媒を使用し、乾燥させる場合には、可塑剤としては上記のものの中でも、沸点が乾燥温度よりも好ましくは120℃以上、より好ましくは150℃以上高いものが例示できる。
本発明の電解質は、(A)有機酸のリチウム塩、(B)ホウ素化合物、並びに必要に応じて(C)有機溶媒、(D)マトリクスポリマー、可塑剤((C)の有機溶媒が可塑剤を兼ねても良い)、そして前記その他の成分を配合することで製造できる。
各成分の配合時には、これら成分を添加して、各種手段により十分に混合することが好ましい。また、上記本発明の電解質膜を引き続き製造する場合には、必要に応じて上記希釈用有機溶媒をさらに添加して、得られた組成物を一括して混合するようにしてもよい。
各成分は、これらを順次添加しながら混合してもよいし、全成分を添加してから混合してもよく、配合成分を均一に溶解又は分散させることができればよい。
本発明の電解質膜は、上記本発明の電解質又はゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とする。
本発明の電解質膜は、例えば、本発明の電解質に希釈用有機溶媒を添加して混合し、得られた組成物を型又は容器に流し込んだり、シート上にキャストしたりした後、乾燥させて希釈用有機溶媒を除去し、所望の形状に成型することで製造できる。また、可塑剤が配合された電解質を用いて、希釈用有機溶媒を添加せずに、そのまま成型してもよい。
本発明のゲル電解質は、本発明の電解液、マトリクスポリマー、及び必要に応じてその他の成分を適宜配合することで、製造できる。各成分の配合時の添加順序、温度、時間等の各条件は、配合成分の種類に応じて任意に調節できる。
本発明のゲル電解質電池の製造方法におけるゲル電解質層形成工程では、まず、前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩、(B)ホウ素化合物及び(C)有機溶媒を配合することにより電解液を調製する。
(A)有機酸のリチウム塩、(B)ホウ素化合物及び(C)有機溶媒の配合時の条件は任意に調節できる。
(D)マトリクスポリマーの加温は60~120℃であることが好ましく、60℃~100℃であることがより好ましい。
(D)マトリクスポリマーを加温する温度を60℃以上とすることにより、塗工液の流動性を確保することができる。一方、(D)マトリクスポリマーを加温する温度を120℃以下とすることにより、(C)有機溶媒の揮発を抑制し、所定の組成の塗工液を調製することができる。
塗工液を塗布する際にも、塗工液を加温するが、塗工液の加温は60~120℃であることが好ましく、60℃~100℃であることがより好ましい。
塗工液を加温する温度を60℃以上とすることにより、塗工液の流動性を確保することができる。一方、塗工液を加温する温度を120℃以下とすることにより、(C)有機溶媒の揮発を抑制し、塗工液の組成を所定のものにすることができる。
塗工液を上記の温度範囲に加温する時間を30分以上とすることにより、塗工液の流動性を確保し、均一に混合することができる。一方、塗工液を加温する上限時間は特に限定されないが、1日程度とすることにより、(C)有機溶媒の揮発を抑制し、塗工液の組成を所定のものにすることができる。
本発明の電解質及びゲル電解質は、従来の熱により劣化が進行する汎用のLiPF6を使用した電解質及びゲル電解質とは異なり、長時間加温処理をしても性能劣化が起こらない。一般に、ゲル電解質は、その流動性を確保するために加温して塗工されるが、LiPF6は60℃程度で徐々に劣化する。従って、リチウムイオン源として、LiPF6を用いた場合には、LiPF6によって得られるゲル電解質を加温した後に数時間以内に塗工するか、もしくは、別の方法として電解液とマトリクスポリマーとを別々に混合し、マトリクスポリマーの方だけを加温し、塗工直前に電解液と混合してゲル電解質を塗工する製造方法が採られる。
しかしながら、本発明においては、有機酸リチウムが熱により安定しているので、ゲル電解質層を形成する際、全ての材料を一同に混合して長時間加温処理しても、ゲル電解質の性能に変化がない。従って、製造装置が簡便になり、製造コストを格段に抑えることができる。
本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池は、上記本発明の電解液、電解質膜又はゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とする。
本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池は、本発明の電解液、電解質膜又はゲル電解質を用いること以外は、従来のリチウムイオン二次電池と同様の構成とすることができ、例えば、負極、正極及び前記電解液、電解質膜又はゲル電解質を備えて構成される。さらに必要に応じて、負極と正極との間に、セパレータが設けられていても良い。
前記正極の材質は特に限定されないが、コバルト酸リチウム、ニッケル酸リチウム、マンガン酸リチウム、オリビン型リン酸鉄リチウム等の遷移金属酸化物が例示でき、これら材質からなる群から選択される一種以上であることが好ましい。
ブボックス内又は乾燥空気雰囲気下で、前記電解液、電解質膜、ゲル電解質及び電極を使用して製造すれば良い。

(2-1)ギ酸リチウムの調製
ギ酸(20.0g、434.5mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(17.87g、426.0mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のギ酸リチウムを得た。
酢酸(10.0g、166.5mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(7.15g、167.0mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末の酢酸リチウムを得た。
プロピオン酸(20.0g、270.0mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(11.11g、264.7mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のプロピオン酸リチウムを得た。
酪酸(20.0g、227.0mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(9.34g、222.5mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末の酪酸リチウムを得た。
イソ酪酸(20.0g、227.0mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(9.34g、222.5mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のイソ酪酸リチウムを得た。
コハク酸(10.0g、84.7mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(7.27g、169.8mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のコハク酸リチウムを得た。
アジピン酸(20.0g、136.7mol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを50mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(11.26g、268.3mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のアジピン酸リチウムを得た。
以下に示す実施例及び比較例における操作は、全てドライボックス内で行った。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-2)にて得られた酢酸リチウム(0.182g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.392g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、酢酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
負極(宝泉株式会社製)及び正極(宝泉株式会社製)を直径16mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。また、セパレータとしてガラスファイバーを直径17mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。
得られた正極、セパレータ及び負極をこの順にSUS製の電池容器(CR2032)内で積層し、上記で得られた電解液をセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させ、さらに負極上に、SUS製の板(厚さ1.2mm、直径16mm)を載せ、蓋をすることによりコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-6)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.377g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.863g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、コハク酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解液及びコイン型セルの製造>
BF3O(C2H5)2を使用しなかったこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法で電解液及びコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解液及びコイン型セルの製造>
BF3O(C2H5)2を使用しなかったこと以外は、実施例A2と同様の方法で電解液及びコイン型セルを製造した。
<コイン型セルの製造>
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、六フッ化リン酸リチウムEC/DMC(3/7(体積比))溶液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-1)にて得られたギ酸リチウム(0.111g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.303g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、ギ酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-2)にて得られた酢酸リチウム(0.143g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.307g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、酢酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-3)にて得られたプロピオン酸リチウム(0.175g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.311g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、プロピオン酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

上記(2-4)にて得られた酪酸リチウム(0.209g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.315g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、酪酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

上記(2-5)にて得られたイソ酪酸リチウム(0.209g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.315g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、イソ酪酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>

実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

上記(2-6)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.133g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.305g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、コハク酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

上記(2-7)にて得られたアジピン酸リチウム(0.166g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.310g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、アジピン酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

上記(2-2)にて得られた酢酸リチウム(0.114g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.294g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、酢酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-1)にて得られたギ酸リチウム(1.11g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(3.03g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、ギ酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。この電解液(94質量部)に対して、PVdF-HFP(6質量部)を配合し、80℃で加熱することにより、ゲル電解質を得た。
負極(宝泉株式会社製)及び正極(宝泉株式会社製)を直径16mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。また、セパレータとしてガラスファイバーを直径17mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。
得られた正極、セパレータ及び負極をこの順にSUS製の電池容器(CR2032)内で積層した。上記で得られたゲル電解質を90℃にて加熱し、液化させたものをセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させ、さらに負極上に、SUS製の板(厚さ1.2mm、直径16mm)を載せ、蓋をすることによりコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-6)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(1.36g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(3.12g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、コハク酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が0.8mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。この電解液(92質量部)に対して、PVdF-HFP(8質量部)を配合し、80℃で加熱することにより、ゲル電解質を得た。
実施例A16で得られたゲル電解質に代えて、本実施例で得られたゲル電解質を使用したこと以外は、実施例A16と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
シュウ酸リチウム(0.157g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.218g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、シュウ酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。

LiPF6(0.807g、5.31mmol)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、LiPF6中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
実施例A1で得られた電解液に代えて、本比較例で得られた電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
上記(2-6)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.738g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(1.611g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、コハク酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
負極(宝泉株式会社製)及び正極(宝泉株式会社製)を略矩形にカットした。活物質層で被覆された部分を、負極は72×50mm、正極は68×46mmとした。活物質層で被覆されていない部分(タブ部分)を1×10cm程度残してカットした。
セパレータとしてセルガード2500(セルガード社製、単層PP)を84×62mmにカットした。
上記で得られた電解液をセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させ、負極・セパレータ・正極の順に積層した。その積層体を、アルミラミネートフィルムを袋状にしたものの内部に入れて端部を封止し、さらに真空包装機を用いてラミネート内部を真空にしてラミネート電池を製造した。なお、このラミネート電池の設計容量は46.9mAhである。
<電解質及び電解液の製造>
シュウ酸リチウム(0.568g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(1.583g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、シュウ酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。この電解液(94質量部)に対して、PVDF-HFP(6質量部)を配合し、80℃で加熱することによりゲル電解質を得た。
シュウ酸リチウム(0.568g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(1.583g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70体積比)をサンプル瓶に量り取り、シュウ酸リチウム中のリチウム原子の濃度が1.0mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。この電解液(94質量部)に対して、PEO(6質量部)を配合し、80℃に加熱することによりゲル電解質を得た。
実施例A33で得られた電解液に代えて、本実施例で得られたゲル電解質を使用したこと以外は、実施例A33と同様の方法でラミネート電池を製造した。
上記で得られたゲル電解質の含浸は、上記で得られたゲル電解質を90℃にて加熱し、液化させたものをセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させることで行った。
<電解液及びラミネート電池の製造>
実施例A33で得られた電解液に代えて、LiPF6 (EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))溶液を使用したこと以外は、実施例A33と同様の方法でラミネート電池を製造した。
実施例A1~A15、比較例A1~A2の電解液の溶解性を、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
結果を表A1~A2に示す。また、参考例A1についても、同様に電解液の溶解性を六フッ化リン酸リチウムについて評価したので、結果をあわせて示す。
A:有機酸のリチウム塩が溶媒に完全に溶解している
B:有機酸のリチウム塩の溶け残りがある
なお、表中、「(B)/Li(モル比)」は、「[(B)ホウ素化合物の配合量(モル数)]/[配合された(A)有機酸のリチウム塩中のリチウム原子のモル数]のモル比」を示す。
実施例A1~A2、比較例A1~A2、参考例A1のコイン型セルを、25℃において電流値0.2Cで4.2Vまで充電した後、電流値0.2Cで2.5Vまで放電した。この充放電サイクルを繰り返し行い、10サイクル目における参考例A1のコイン型セルの容量に対する、実施例A1~A2及び比較例A1~A2のコイン型セルの容量の比([実施例A1~A2及び比較例A1~A2のコイン型セルの10サイクル目の容量(mAh)]/[参考例A1のコイン型セルの10サイクル目の容量(mAh)])を求めた。結果を表A1に示す。
実施例A3~A17及び参考例1のコイン型セルについて、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを繰り返し行い、100サイクルでの容量維持率(105サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/5サイクル目の放電容量(mAh))を算出した。結果を表A2及びA3に示す。
実施例A18~A26および比較例A3のコイン型セルについて、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを数回~数十回程度繰り返し行い電池の状態を安定化させた。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを繰り返し行い、100サイクルでの容量維持率(100サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/1サイクル目の放電容量(mAh))を算出した。結果を表A4に示す。
実施例A27~A32及び比較例A4のコイン型セルについて、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクル一定回数繰り返し行った。その後、充放電電流を5Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを繰り返し行い、100サイクルでの容量維持率(5Cにおける100サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/5Cにおける1サイクル目の放電容量(mAh))を算出した。結果を表A5に示す。
実施例A33ならびにA34、及び比較例A5のラミネート電池について、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを数回~数十回程度繰り返し行い電池の状態を安定化させた。次に、充電だけを行った後、60℃の環境下で7日間放置した。その後、充放電電流を1Cとし、放電→充電→放電を繰り返し行い、2回目の放電容量に対する、30回目の放電容量の比(30回目の放電容量(mAh)]/2回目の放電容量(mAh)])を容量維持率とした。結果を表A6に示す。
(C2H5)3と組み合わせて配合することにより、有機溶媒に溶解させることができ、また、十分な充放電特性を示した。
また、表A1に示した実施例A2の結果から明らかなように、異なる構造の有機酸リチウムを配合した場合でも、実施例A1と同様の結果が得られた。
一方、表A1に示した比較例A1の結果から明らかなように、BF3O(C2H5)3を配合しない場合には、酢酸リチウムは溶媒にほとんど溶解せず、充放電挙動を示さなかった。
また、表A1に示した比較例A2の結果から明らかなように、異なる構造の有機酸リチウムを配合した場合でも、BF3O(C2H5)3を配合しないことによって、比較例A1と同様の結果となった。
一方、表A6に示した比較例A5の結果から明らかなように、LiPF6を用いた電池は、加熱後の充放電における容量維持率が低下した。
以下に示す実施例及び比較例における操作は、すべてドライボックス内で行った。
[実施例B1]
<ゲル電解質の製造>
シュウ酸リチウム(0.284g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.792g)、有機溶媒としてEC及びDMCの混合溶媒(EC:DMC=30:70(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0mol/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。この電解液(94質量部)に対して、80℃で加熱したPVDF-HFP(6質量部)を配合し、ゲル電解質を得た。
負極(宝泉株式会社製)及び正極(宝泉株式会社製)を直径16mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。また、セパレータとしてガラスファイバーを直径17mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。
得られた正極、セパレータ及び負極をこの順にSUS製の電池容器(CR2032)内で積層した。次いで、上記で得られたゲル電解質を80℃にて24時間加温したものをセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させ、さらに負極上に、SUS製の板(厚さ1.2mm、直径16mm)を載せ、蓋をすることによりコイン型セルを製造した。なお、このコイン型セルの設計容量は3mAhである。
<ゲル電解質の調整>
実施例B1で調製した電解液に代えて、六フッ化リン酸リチウム(EC/DMC(3/7(体積比))溶液(シュウ酸リチウム、BF3O(C2H5)2は使用していない)を使用したこと以外は、実施例B1と同様の方法でゲル電解質を得た。
<コイン型セルの製造>
実施例B1で得られたゲル電解質に代えて、本比較例B1で得られたゲル電解質を使用し、実施例B1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
比較例B1で得られたゲル電解質を80℃にて4時間加温したものを使用したこと以外は、実施例B1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例B3]
比較例B1で得られたゲル電解質を60℃にて24時間加温したものを使用したこと以外は、実施例B1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
実施例B1で調製したシュウ酸リチウムの電解液を使用し、加温せずに実施例B1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
[参考例B2]
比較例B1で使用した六フッ化リン酸リチウムの電解液を使用し、加温せずに実施例B1と同様の方法でコイン型セルを製造した。
実施例B1、比較例B1~B2、参考例B1~B2のコイン型セルを、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを数回~数十回程度繰り返し行い電池の状態を安定化させた。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを繰り返し行った。容量発現率は設計容量に対する安定化後の1サイクル目の放電容量(1サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/設計容量(3mAh))、容量維持率は安定化後の1サイクル目の放電容量に対する100サイクル目の放電容量(100サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/1サイクル目の放電容量(mAh))を算出した。結果を表B1に示す。
一方、六フッ化リン酸リチウムを用いたコイン型セルは、比較例B1~B2の結果から、80℃で加温すると24時間で大幅に容量が低下し、4時間でも容量維持率が低下することが分かった。また、60℃で24時間加温しても、容量維持率は低下していることが分かった。
(4-1)ギ酸リチウムの調製
(2-1)と同様の方法により、白色粉末のギ酸リチウムを得た。
(2-2)と同様の方法により、白色粉末の酢酸リチウムを得た。
シュウ酸(10.0g、111mmol)を丸底フラスコに量り取り、これを100mLの蒸留水に溶解させた。これにLiOH・H2O(9.23g、220mmol)を100mlの蒸留水に溶かした溶液をゆっくりと滴下した。室温で24時間撹拌した後、ロータリーエバポレーターを用いて溶液を濃縮した。濃縮した溶液を200mLのアセトニトリルにゆっくりと滴下し、析出した固体を再度アセトニトリルにて洗浄した後、乾燥させることによって白色粉末のシュウ酸リチウムを得た。
(2-6)と同様の方法により、白色粉末のコハク酸リチウムを得た。
以下に示す実施例及び比較例における電解質膜の製造は、すべてドライボックス内又は真空デシケータ内で行った。
PEO(0.50g)、上記(4-1)にて得られたギ酸リチウム(0.059g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.161g)をサンプル瓶に量り取り、アセトニトリル(12mL)を加え、室温で24時間攪拌した。PEOが完全にアセトニトリルに溶解し、ギ酸リチウムが溶液中に十分に溶解していることを確認した後、得られた電解質溶液をポリテトラフルオロエチレン製のシャーレ(直径7.5cm)にキャスティングした。次いで、前記シャーレを真空デシケータ内に移し、ここに乾燥窒素を2L/分の流量で流しながら、20℃で24時間乾燥させることによってアセトニトリルを除去し、電解質膜を得た。表C1に、電解質製造時の(A)有機酸のリチウム塩と、各成分の配合比を示す。なお、表C1中、「(B)ホウ素化合物/(A)リチウム原子(モル比)」とは、「(B)ホウ素化合物の配合量(モル数)]/[配合された(A)有機酸のリチウム塩中のリチウム原子のモル数]のモル比」のことを指す。また、「全配合成分:可塑剤(質量比)」とは、「配合成分の総量:可塑剤の配合量(質量比)」のことを指し、「配合成分」に「希釈用有機溶媒」は含まれない。
ギ酸リチウム(0.059g)に代えて、上記(4-2)にて得られた酢酸リチウム(0.075g)を使用したこと以外は、実施例C1と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
ギ酸リチウム(0.059g)に代えて、上記(4-3)にて得られたシュウ酸リチウム(0.055g)を使用したこと以外は、実施例C1と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
ギ酸リチウム(0.059g)に代えて、上記(4-4)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.070g)を使用したこと以外は、実施例C1と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
PEO(0.50g)、上記(4-1)にて得られたギ酸リチウム(0.049g)、BF3O(C2H5)2(0.134g)、EC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EC:GBL=30:70(体積比))(0.246g)をサンプル瓶に量り取り、アセトニトリル(12mL)を加え、室温で24時間攪拌した。PEOが完全にアセトニトリルに溶解し、ギ酸リチウムが溶液中に十分に溶解していることを確認した後、得られた電解質溶液をポリテトラフルオロエチレン製のシャーレ(直径7.5cm)にキャスティングした。次いで、前記シャーレを真空デシケータ内に移し、ここに乾燥窒素を2L/分の流量で流しながら、20℃で24時間乾燥させることによってアセトニトリルを除去し、電解質膜を得た。
ギ酸リチウム(0.049g)に代えて、上記(4-2)にて得られた酢酸リチウム(0.062g)を使用したこと以外は、実施C例5と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
ギ酸リチウム(0.049g)に代えて、上記(4-3)にて得られたシュウ酸リチウム(0.045g)を使用したこと以外は、実施例C5と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
ギ酸リチウム(0.049g)に代えて、上記(4-4)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.059g)を使用したこと以外は、実施例C5と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
BF3O(C2H5)2を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例C1と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
BF3O(C2H5)2を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例C3と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
BF3O(C2H5)2を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例C5と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
BF3O(C2H5)2を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例C7と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
PEO(0.50g)、LiN(SO2CF3)2(0.326g)をサンプル瓶に量り取り、アセトニトリル(12mL)を加え、室温で24時間攪拌した。PEOが完全にアセトニトリルに溶解し、LiN(SO2CF3)2が溶液中に十分に溶解していることを確認した後、得られた電解質溶液をポリテトラフルオロエチレン製のシャーレ(直径7.5cm)にキャスティングした。次いで、前記シャーレを真空デシケータ内に移し、ここに乾燥窒素を2L/分の流量で流しながら、20℃で24時間乾燥させることによってアセトニトリルを除去し、電解質膜を得た。
PEO(0.50g)、LiN(SO2CF3)2(0.272g)、EC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EC:GBL=30:70(体積比))(0.246g)をサンプル瓶に量り取り、アセトニトリル(12mL)を加え、室温で24時間攪拌した。PEOが完全にアセトニトリルに溶解し、LiN(SO2CF3)2が溶液中に十分に溶解していることを確認した後、得られた電解質溶液をポリテトラフルオロエチレン製のシャーレ(直径7.5cm)にキャスティングした。次いで、前記シャーレを真空デシケータ内に移し、ここに乾燥窒素を2L/分の流量で流しながら、20℃で24時間乾燥させることによってアセトニトリルを除去し、電解質膜を得た。
LiN(SO2CF3)2(0.326g)に代えて、LiBF4(0.107g)を使用したこと以外は、参考例C1と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
LiN(SO2CF3)2(0.272g)に代えて、LiBF4(0.107g)を使用したこと以外は、参考例C2と同様の方法で電解質膜を得た。
上記で得られた電解質膜を、直径16mmの大きさに切り取って測定用試料とし、この試料をステンレス板で挟みこんでセルに組み込んだ。そして、セルを複素交流インピーダンス測定装置に接続し、ナイキストプロットから抵抗値を測定した。この時、セルを60℃に設定した恒温槽に入れて電解質膜と電極をなじませた後、温度を下げていき、所定温度での抵抗値を測定した。各温度での抵抗値は、それぞれの温度でセルを30分間保持してから測定した。そして、得られた抵抗値から、下記式(I)にしたがって、電解質膜のイオン伝導度(σ)(S/cm)を算出した。実施例C1~C8、比較例C1~C4、及び参考例C1~C4の電解質膜について、40℃でのイオン伝導度(σ)を表C2に示す。

(式中、lは試料(電解質膜)の厚さ(cm)を表し;sは試料(電解質膜)の面積(cm2)を表し;Rは抵抗値(Ω)を表す。)
上記で得られた電解質膜のリチウムイオンの輸率を、直流分極測定と複素インピーダンス測定の併用によって求めた。
すなわち、電解質膜を直径17mmの大きさに切り取り、これをLi板で挟みこんでセルに組み込んだ。そして、セルを複素交流インピーダンス測定装置に接続し、セルを60℃に設定した恒温槽に1時間入れた後、温度を40℃に変えて、1時間以上置いた後に測定を開始した。測定法は以下の通りである。まず、複素インピーダンス測定を行い、抵抗値(以下、R0と略記する)を見積もった。その後、直流分極測定を行い、電流値が一定になったのを確認(以下、初期電流値をI0、一定になった時の電流値をIsとそれぞれ略記する)した後、再び、複素インピーダンス測定を行い、抵抗値(以下、Rsと略記する)を見積もった。そして、40℃におけるリチウムイオンの輸率を、下記式(II)で表されるエバンス式より算出した。実施例C1~C8及び参考例C1~C4の電解質膜について、リチウムイオンの輸率(t+)を表C2に示す。表2中、「-」は未測定であることを示す。

(式中、ΔVは印加電圧を表し;R0、Rs、I0、Isは上記と同様である。)
そして、実施例C5~C8より、さらに(D)可塑剤を配合することにより、イオン伝導度がさらに向上することが確認できた。実施例C1~C8の電解質膜は、従来のリチウム塩を用いた電解質膜である参考例1~4のものに対して、同等以上のイオン伝導度を有し、リチウムイオンの輸率でより優れていた。
一方、比較例C1より、BF3O(C2H5)2が、電解質膜の室温付近におけるイオン伝導度の向上に不可欠な配合成分であることが確認できた。
また、比較例C2~C4より、異なる構造の有機酸のリチウム塩であっても、BF3O(C2H5)2が未配合となることにより、イオン伝導度が大きく低下してしまうことが確認できた。これは有機酸のリチウム塩が有効に解離できないためであると推測される。なお、比較例C1~C4に関しては、イオン伝導度が非常に低いため、リチウムイオンの輸率の測定に至らなかった。
(8-1)ギ酸リチウムの調製
(2-1)と同様の方法により、白色粉末のギ酸リチウムを得た。
(4-3)と同様の方法により、白色粉末のギ酸リチウムを得た。
(2-6)と同様の方法により、白色粉末のコハク酸リチウムを得た。
以下に示す実施例及び比較例における操作は、すべてドライボックス内で行った。
<電解液の製造>
(A)成分として上記(8-2)にて得られたシュウ酸リチウム(0.284g、2.79mmol)、(B)成分としてBF3O(C2H5)2(0.792g、5.58mmol)及び有機溶媒としてGBLをサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合し、室温にて24時間攪拌する事により電解液を得た。
負極(宝泉株式会社製)及び正極(宝泉株式会社製)を直径16mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。また、セパレータとしてガラスファイバーを直径17mmの円盤状に打ち抜いた。
得られた正極、セパレータ及び負極をこの順にSUS製の電池容器(CR2032)内で積層し、上記で得られた電解液をセパレータ、負極及び正極に含浸させ、さらに負極上に、SUS製の板(厚さ1.2mm、直径16mm)を載せ、蓋をすることによりコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D2]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてPCを用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例3]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EC:GBL=30:70(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D4]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEC及びPCの混合溶媒(EC:PC=30:70(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D5]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D6]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEMC及びPCの混合溶媒(EMC:PC=50:50(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D7]
<電解液の製造>
(A)成分として上記(8-2)にて得られたシュウ酸リチウム(0.183g、1.80mmol)、(B)成分としてBF3O(C4H9)2(0.712g、3.60mmol)及び非水溶媒としてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合し、室温にて24時間攪拌する事により電解液を得た。
上述の電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様にしてコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D8]
<電解液の製造>
(A)成分として上記(8-2)にて得られたシュウ酸リチウム(0.170g、1.67mmol)、(B)成分としてBF3OC4H8(0.467g、3.34mmol)及び非水溶媒としてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合し、室温にて24時間攪拌する事により電解液を得た。
上述の電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様にしてコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D9]
<電解液の製造>
(A)成分として上記(8-1)にて得られたギ酸リチウム(0.174g、3.35mmol)、(B)成分としてBF3O(C2H5)2(0.475g、3.35mmol)及び非水溶媒としてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合し、室温にて24時間攪拌する事により電解液を得た。
上述の電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様にしてコイン型セルを製造した。
[実施例D10]
<電解液の製造>
(A)成分として上記(8-3)にて得られたコハク酸リチウム(0.221g、1.70mmol)、(B)成分としてBF3O(C2H5)2(0.483g、3.41mmol)及び非水溶媒としてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))をサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合し、室温にて24時間攪拌する事により電解液を得た。
上述の電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様にしてコイン型セルを製造した。
<電解液の製造>
その他の成分としてLiPF6(0.807g、5.31mmol)((A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物は使用していない)及び非水溶媒としてGBLをサンプル瓶に量り取り、リチウム原子の濃度が1.0モル/kgとなるように混合することにより電解液を得た。
上述の電解液を使用したこと以外は、実施例D1と同様にしてコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例D2]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてPCを用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、比較例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例D3]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EC:GBL=30:70(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、比較例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例D4]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEC及びPCの混合溶媒(EC:PC=30:70(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、比較例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例D5]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEMC及びGBLの混合溶媒(EMC:GBL=50:50(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、比較例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
[比較例D6]
有機溶媒として、GBLに代えてEMC及びPCの混合溶媒(EMC:PC=50:50(体積比))を用いて電解液を製造したこと以外は、比較例D1と同様の方法で電解液の製造ならびにコイン型セルを製造した。
実施例D1~D10及び比較例D1~D6のコイン型セルについて、25℃において0.2Cの定電流定電圧充電を、上限電圧4.2Vとして電流値が0.1Cに収束するまで行った後、0.2Cの定電流放電を2.7Vまで行った。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを数回~数十回程度繰り返し行い電池の状態を安定化させた。その後、充放電電流を1Cとして同様の方法で、充放電サイクルを繰り返し行い、100サイクルでの容量維持率(100サイクル目の放電容量(mAh)/1サイクル目の放電容量(mAh))×100を算出した。なお、100サイクルの充放電試験が不可能だった場合においては、容量維持率が80%になったときのサイクル数(表記「80%(サイクル数)」)、ならびに50%になったときのサイクル数(表記「50%(サイクル数)」)を示した。なお5サイクル以内に容量が半分以下に低下したものは「充放電不可」と判断した。結果を表D1に示す。
また、実施例D7~D8の結果から明らかなように、(B)成分として異なる構造のホウ素化合物を配合した場合でも、実施例D1~D6と同様の結果が得られた。
また、実施例D9~D10の結果から明らかなように、(A)成分として異なる構造の有機酸リチウムを配合した場合でも、実施例D1~D8と同様の結果が得られた。
一方、比較例D1~D6の結果から明らかなように、リチウム塩としてLiPF6を用いた場合においては、良好な充放電挙動を示さなかった。この原因は、当該電解液が(A)成分及び(B)成分を含有していないことにある。

Claims (15)
- (A)有機酸のリチウム塩及び(B)ホウ素化合物が配合されてなることを特徴とする電解質。
- 前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩が、カルボン酸のリチウム塩及びスルホン酸のリチウム塩から選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電解質。
- 前記(B)ホウ素化合物が、ハロゲン化ホウ素、ハロゲン化ホウ素アルキルエーテル錯体、ハロゲン化ホウ素アルコール錯体、2,4,6-トリアルコキシボロキシン、ホウ酸トリアルキル、ホウ酸トリアリール及びトリス(トリアルキルシリル)ボラートからなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の電解質。
- 前記(A)有機酸のリチウム塩中のリチウム原子のモル数:前記(B)ホウ素化合物のモル数が100:30~100:150(モル比)であることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の電解質。
- 請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の電解質と、(C)有機溶媒が配合されてなることを特徴とする電解液。
- 前記(C)有機溶媒が、炭酸エステル化合物、ラクトン化合物、エーテル化合物、カルボン酸エステル化合物、ニトリル化合物、アミド化合物及びスルホン化合物からなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電解液。
- 請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の電解質と、(D)マトリクスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とするゲル電解質。
- 請求項5又は6に記載の電解質と、(D)マトリックスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とするゲル電解質。
- 前記(D)マトリクスポリマーが、ポリエーテル系ポリマー、フッ素系ポリマー、ポリアクリル系ポリマー、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリホスファゼン及びポリシロキサンからなる群から選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載のゲル電解質。
- 請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の電解質又は請求項7~9のいずれか一項に記載のゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とする電解質膜。
- さらに(D)マトリックスポリマーが配合されてなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電解質。
- 正極板及び負極板がゲル電解質層を介して積層されるゲル電解質電池の製造方法であって、
請求項7~9のいずれか一項に記載のゲル電解質を混合及び加温して調製した塗工液を用いて、ゲル電解質層を形成するゲル電解質層形成工程を備えたことを特徴とするゲル電解質電池の製造方法。 - 前記ゲル電解質層形成工程において、前記塗工液を60℃以上で加温することを特徴とする請求項12に記載のゲル電解質電池の製造方法。
- 請求項4~9のいずれか一項に記載の電解液又はゲル電解質を用いて得られたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 請求項12又は13に記載のゲル電解質電池の製造方法を用いて得られたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
