Abstract
Description
この減少分は、ヘッドライトユニットの高さや幅を僅かに増加させるだけで補われる。そのため、ヘッドライトユニットの両側面に、車幅方向内側へ窪ませた凹部が設けられても、ヘッドライトユニットの発光面積は確保される。
さらには、凹部に空気取入口を配置するため、空気取入口の面積を拡大することが可能となり、フロントカウル内へ導入する空気の量を増大させることができる。
エアクリーナから延びている吸気ダクトは、前方の導風路まで延ばすだけでよい。すなわち、エアクリーナの吸気ダクトを長く延ばす必要がなく、吸気ダクトの長さを短縮することが可能となる。
なお、図面は符号の向きに見るものとする。又、前後、左右は運転者を基準に定められる。また、符号に添えられるLは、左を示す添え字であり、Rは右を示す添え字である。
図1に示されるように、車両としての自動二輪車10において、車体フレーム11が主要な構成要素の一つとなる。
そして、車両を側面から見たときに、前シリンダ35および後シリンダ36にメインフレーム14が重なり、クランクケース37にピボットプレート22の一部が重なっている。
メインフレーム14の後部から下へ延びているピボットプレート22に、運手者の足を支える運転者用ステップ57Lが設けられている。
以上の説明では省略したが、符号にLが添えられた要素に対しては、符号にRを添えた要素が設けられる。以下の説明においても同様である。
カウル70には、ヘッドパイプ12から延ばしカウルステー(図4、符号71)で支えられ車体フレーム11の前方を覆うフロントカウル72と、このフロントカウル72に連続して設けられ車両の側方を覆うサイドカウル73と、エンジン13の下方に設けられるアンダカウル74と、が含まれる。カウル70は、風よけや車両の外観性を高めることなどの作用を発揮する。
ラジエータ空気取入口112の奥に警笛用のホーン113が設けられている。また、左右のミラー61L、61Rにウインカー114L、114Rが一体的に取付けられている。
ヘッドライトユニット59は、高さ方向途中位置がくびれており、このくびれにより局部的に凹部115L、115Rが形成されるため、発光面積の減少は抑制することができる。すなわち、所定の発光面積は容易に確保される。
同様に、右側の空気取入口111Rは、ヘッドライトユニット59の右側面を凹ませた凹部115Rと、右フロントアッパサイドカウル79Rの前部と、ミドルカウル78Rの前部とで囲まれた領域に形成されている。
図4に示されるように、ヘッドパイプ(図1、符号12)から前方に、フロントカウル72を支えるカウルステー71が延びている。このカウルステー71で、ウインドスクリーン77及びミラー61Lも支えられる。
このフロントアッパサイドカウル79Lの下方に車両の前部側方を覆うミドルカウル78Lが設けられている。
フロントアッパサイドカウル79Lは、ウインドスクリーン77とミドルカウル78Lをつなぐ部材である。
このフロントアッパサイドカウル79Lの前部に、ミドルカウル78Lの前部内側に設けられミドルカウル78Lの前部を補強するフロントカウルパネル122Lが取付けられている。
そして、これらのレイヤカウル123Lは、車体側ステー124Lを介してメインフレーム(図1、符号14)に取付けられる。レイヤカウル123Rも同じである。
この他、燃料タンクカバー56の下端には、運転者の膝で挟持されるニーカバー81Lが取付けられている。
図1の5-5線断面図である図5に示されるように、ミドルカウル78L、78Rの内側に、ミドルカウル78L、78Rの前部を補強するようにフロントカウルパネル122L、122Rが設けられ、このフロントカウルパネル122L、122Rの内側に、且つ、ヘッドライトユニット59の側部から後方にカウルインナ121L、121Rが設けられている。
そして、ミドルカウル78L、78Rとカウルインナ121L、121Rの間に、空気取入口111L、111Rから導入した導風を導く導風路129L、129Rが形成されている。
矢印で示されるように、導風路導風路129L、129Rを流れる導風の一部が吸気ダクト132L、132Rを通ってエアクリーナ131へ導かれる。
すなわち、ミドルカウル78L、78Rとカウルインナ121L、121Rを利用して導風路129L、129Rを形成したため、導風路129L、129Rを別のダクトで構成する必要はなく、部品点数の低減が可能となる。
そのためには、導風路129L、129Rを、広く且つ滑らかな形状にて形成し、走行風を円滑に流すことができるようにする。
図1の6-6線断面図である図6に示されるように、ミドルカウル78L、78Rの後部に左右のレイヤカウル123L、123Rが設けられている。
左右のレイヤカウル123L、123Rには、レイヤインナ127L、127Rが設けられ、これらのレイヤインナ127L、127Rに、導風路129L、129Rを通過した導風の一部を外へ排出する開口部126L、126Rが設けられている。
このニーカバー81L、81Rの前側には、導風の一部をニーカバー81L、81Rの内側へ導入するニーカバー空気入口136L、136Rが設けられている。
図1の7-7線断面図である図7に示されるように、前輪25の後方に、ラジエータユニット51が配置され、このラジエータユニット51の外側に左右のミドルカウル78L、78Rが設けられ、これらの左右のミドルカウル78L、78Rの間に、ラジエータ空気取入口112が設けられている。
空気取入口(図2、符号111L、111R)から取り入れられた走行風は、図8に示されるように、ミドルカウル78Lの内側を通過して、エアクリーナ131に入る。
図10に示されるように、左のレイヤインナ157Lは、レイヤカウル(図4、符号123L)に取付けられる取付部151Lと、この取付部151Lから車幅方向内側に設けられ複数の開口156Lを有する後壁155Lと、この後壁155Lの内方に設けられメインフレーム14との間に形成される隙間を塞ぐ内側壁158Lとからなる。
図11はレイヤカウル123L、123Rに、前述したレイヤインナ157L、157Rが取付けられているときの作用を説明する図である。
図において、導風路129L、129Rを通過した導風は、開口156L、156Rを通過して図矢印p、p方向に流れるとともに、導風の一部は分流され、内側壁158L、158Rにより矢印q1、q1のように導かれ、次いで、矢印q2、q2のように導かれ、バッテリ16を含む電装系へ導かれる。
このように、レイヤインナ157L、157Rに内側壁158L、158Rを付設したので、車体の内部に取り込んだ導風が一層有効に活用される。
図12に示されるように、ヘッドパイプ12から前方へウインドスクリーン77を支えるカウルステー71が延ばされ、このカウルステー71に、メータ211が取付けられている。
メータ211は、速度計、ウインカ表示、変速機のモード表示などを行うものである。
同様に、右側の斜辺217Rに沿って、右凸条部221Rが形成されている。右凸条部221Rは、メータ部の側面(図12、符号211s)に沿って延びている。
図16に示されるように、平板部222のメータ取付穴235に、緩衝部材236が挿入され、この緩衝部材236に鍔が付いているカラー部材237が挿入される。
一方、メータ211から取付脚238が延ばされている。この取付脚238は、カラー部材237が挿入される。そいて、取付脚238の先端に、ワッシャ242を当て、ビス等の締付部材241をねじ込む。これで、メータ211は、平板部222に弾性的に支えられる。
図17に示されるように、平板部の下面222uから、凸部244が車両の前方に向けて延ばされている。
一方、図18に示されるように、フロントアッパサイドカウル79Rに、爪245、245が設けられており、これらの爪245、245の間に凸部244の先端が挿入される。このことにより、カウルステー71に、フロントアッパサイドカウル79Rが位置合わせされる。
この緩衝材252の中心孔252hに、締結ボルト253を通す。次に、締結ボルト253をヘッドライトユニット取付孔247に締め付ける。このようにして、カウルステー71にヘッドライトユニット59が取付けられる。
図19に示されるように、メータ211の車幅方向の長さ(B)は、左凸条部221Lと右凸条部221Rの間の距離(W)とほぼ同じである。そして、メータ211は、左凸条部221Lと右凸条部221Rの間に収容される形態で、カウルステー71に取付けられている。
なお、凸条部221Lは、平板部222の端から後方に延びている内壁261と、この内壁261の頂部262から前方に延びている外壁263とからなる。凸条部221Rも凸条部221Lと同じであるため、構造の説明は省略する。
カウルステー71の左右両側に、凸条部221L、221Rを設けたので、カウルステー71の剛性を一層高めることができる。
先ず、図1に示されるように、エンジン13の後シリンダ36から2本の排気管41c、41dが延びている。これらの排気管41c、41dは、車両後方へ延びた後に、下がり、更に前方へ延びている。そして、これらの排気管41c、41dは、図20に示されるように、集合管43でまとめられる。
この集合管43は、図1に示される前シリンダ35から延びている排気管41a、41bと共に、触媒管45に接続される。
リザーバタンク311の後方にリヤマスタシリンダ313が設けられている。このリヤマスタシリンダで発生したブレーキ圧力は、リヤブレーキキャリパ62へ供給される。
なお、図1に示されるように、触媒管42はエンジン13の下に配置されているため、リザーバタンク311は、エンジン13の後部右側に設けられていることになる。
図21に示されるように、ピボットプレート22L、22Rの上部に、車体中心側へ窪ませた凹部315L、315Rが設けられている。これらの凹部315L、315Rに、ピボットプレートカバー82L、82Rが被せられる。このときに、凹部315L、315Rは、ピボットプレートカバー82L、82Rの内側面に走行風を流すトンネルの役割を果たす。
左のピボットプレート22Lの上部からリヤフレームを接続するためのリヤフレーム連結部322Lが延ばされ、右のピボットプレート22Rの上部からリヤフレームを接続するためのリヤフレーム連結部322Rが延ばされている。
先ず、係合爪327Rを右のピボットプレート22R側に設けられている小穴に挿入する。これで、ピボットプレートカバー82Rの位置が概ね決定される。
左のピボットプレートカバー82Lについても同様であるため、説明は省略する。
なお、ボルト328とビスの締め付け順序は変更してもよい。
図22に示されるように、ピボットプレートカバー82Lの周縁82Lsには、車体内側に延びる複数のリブ331が設けられている。これらの複数のリブ331は、図24に示されるように、ピボットプレート22Lに当てられる。
図24に示されるように、ピボットプレート22Lには、幅方向内方に凹む凹部315Lが設けられている。この凹部315Lの縁は、緩やかに傾斜する傾斜部332Lとされている。この傾斜部332Lは、凹部315Lに応力が集中することを抑制する役割を果たす。すなわち、ピボットプレート22Lが外力を受けた場合に、応力の集中を抑えられる。凹部315Lを設けたにも拘わらす、ピボットプレート22Lの強度を確保するができる。結果、凹部315Lを設けることによって車両の操縦性が変化することを、最小限に抑えることができる。
なお、上述の傾斜部332Lは、斜面、湾曲面の何れであっても好い。
ピボットプレートカバー82Lに外方から荷重Pが加わると、ピボットプレートカバー82Lが変形して、リブ331が外側へ(図面では左へ)変位する。放置すると、リブ331が凹部315Lからはみ出る虞がある。本発明では、傾斜部332Lが、リブ331を図矢印b方向へ戻す役割を果たす。結果、荷重Pが加わっても、リブ331が凹部315Lからはみ出る心配はない。
図27に示されるように、メインスタンド65がメインスタンド軸部65dを介してメインスタンド支持部65sで支えられている。
また、ピボットプレート22は、複数の中空部335a~335dを有するアルミニウム鋳造品である。いわゆる、中空構造物であるため、ピボットプレート22は、剛性が維持されつつ軽量化が達成される。
図28に示されるように、右のピボットプレート22Rの内側に、左右の後側排気管41c、41dが存在する。これら左右の後側排気管41c、41dは、第1排気管カバー337と第2排気管カバー338とによって囲われている。第1排気管カバー337と第2排気管カバー338とによって左右の後側排気管41c、41dを囲ったので、左右の後側排気管41c、41dから右のピボットプレート22Rへの熱伝達量を低く抑えることができる。
図29に示されるように、左右のピボットプレート22L、22Rは、連結部22cによって連結されている。この連結部22cは、車幅方向の剛性を一層高める役割を果たす。
スイングアーム28の後端部に、駆動力の向きを変換するギヤボックス345が設けられている。このギヤボックス345で後輪31が回転自在に支持される。
図20に対して、ピボットプレートカバー382R、382Lの構造を変更した。
図31に示されるように、ピボットプレートカバー382Rの後部383Rに、車両の内部に走行風を取り入れることができる複数の開口351Rが設けられている。
Claims (4)
- 車両であって、
車体フレームと、
前記車体フレームの前方に設けられたフロントカウルと、
前記フロントカウルの車幅方向の幅内に設けられたヘッドライトユニットと、
から成り、
前記ヘッドライトユニットは、車幅方向内側へ窪んだ凹部を両側に有しており、もって前記ヘッドライトユニットと前記フロントカウルとの間に、前記フロントカウル前方の空気を前記フロントカウルの内側へ導入する空気取入口を形成することを特徴とする車両。 - 前記車体フレームの側方に設けられていて前記車両の側方を覆うミドルカウルと、
前記ミドルカウルの内側に設けられて後方に延び、前記ヘッドライトユニットの側方を覆うカウルインナと、
前記ミドルカウルと前記カウルインナとの間に形成され、前記空気取入口から導入される導風を導く導風路と、
前記導風路の後方に設けられたエアクリーナと、
前記導風路を流れる該導風の一部が前記吸気ダクトを通って前記エアクリーナに導かれるように、前記エアクリーナから前方へ延び、前記導風路の出口に対面する入口を有する吸気ダクトと、
を更に備える請求項1に記載の車両。 - 前記導風路の後方に設けられていて該導風の一部を運転者の脚に当てる開口部を更に備える請求項2に記載の車両。
- 前記開口部の後方に設けられ、前記運転者の脚によって挟まれるニーカバーと、
前記ニーカバーの前側に設けられ、該導風の一部を前記ニーカバーの内側に導くニーカバー空気入口と、
を更に備える請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の車両。
