Abstract

 燐光発光層(51,52)は、燐光用ホストと燐光発光を示す燐光用ドーパントとを有し、蛍光発光層(7)は、蛍光用ホストと蛍光発光を示す蛍光用ドーパントとを有する。電荷障壁層(6)は、蛍光発光層(7)の蛍光用ホストに注入された電子が蛍光発光層(7)から電荷障壁層(6)側に注入されるのをブロックし、かつ、正孔を燐光発光層(51,52)から蛍光発光層(7)に注入させる。燐光発光層(51,52)の燐光用ドーパントの三重項エネルギーギャップEgPDと、電荷障壁層(6)の三重項エネルギーギャップEgEBと、蛍光発光層(7)の蛍光用ホストの三重項エネルギーギャップEgFHとは、次の式(1)を満たす。 EgPD<EgEB≦EgFH  (1)
