 正孔を注入する陽極(3)と、燐光発光層(5)と、蛍光発光層(6)と、電子を注入する陰極(8)と、を備え、前記燐光発光層(5)は、燐光ホストと燐光発光を示す燐光ドーパントとを有し、前記蛍光発光層(6)は、蛍光ホストと蛍光発光を示す蛍光ドーパントとを有し、前記燐光ホストは、置換または無置換の多環式縮合芳香族骨格部を有し、かつ、励起三重項エネルギーギャップが2.0eV以上3.0eV以下であることを特徴とする。
