Abstract

Description
本発明は、外科手術を行うための方法および装置に関し、詳細には、外科手術の際に視野を維持するための方法および装置に関する。
腹腔鏡手術の際に、1または複数の小さな切開部が腹部に形成され、トロカールがこのような切開部から挿入され、腹腔へのアクセスを可能にする通路が形成される。トロカールは、器官の上の腹壁を押し上げるためのガス注入を提供するのはもちろん、腹腔内に様々な器具や装置を挿入するために用いられる。このような処置の際に、内視鏡や腹腔鏡などのスコープ装置が、1つのトロカールの中に挿入され、外科医が、スコープ装置に接続された外部モニタの術野を観察することができるようにする。
本発明は、外科器具に流体が沈着するのを防止し、かつ/または外科器具から流体を除去するための方法および装置を提供する。一実施形態では、側壁が遠位側に延びている近位フランジを含むシールを有する、外科アクセス装置に用いるためのシール組立体を提供する。この側壁は、器具が貫通して配置された時の開位置と、器具が貫通して配置されていない時の密閉された閉位置との間で選択的に移動可能である。流体リムーバは、シールの遠位端部に近接して位置付けることができ、シールを通過する外科器具から流体を除去するように構成することができる。流体リムーバは、様々な構造を有することができ、一実施形態では、流体を吸収するための吸収要素、流体を擦り取るためのスクレーパ、および流体を移送する(wicking)ための移送要素のうちの1つまたは任意の組合せを含むことができる。

前記シールを通過する外科器具から流体を除去するように構成された、前記シールの遠位端部に近接して位置付けられた、流体リムーバと、

前記流体リムーバは、流体を吸収するための吸収要素、流体を擦り取るためのスクレーパ、および流体を移送するための移送要素のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、シール組立体。 - 請求項1記載のシール組立体において、
