Abstract
【解決手段】 二酸化マンガンを正極活物質とし、負極にリチウムまたはリチウム合金を用い、セパレータおよび非水電解液を用い、かつ、電池の封口が耐熱樹脂製のパッキングでなされているか、またはガラスハーメチックシールでなされている非水電解液電池において、前記非水電解液の溶媒として炭酸エステルとエーテルとの混合溶媒を用い、非水電解液中に環状スルトン誘導体を添加して非水電解液電池を構成する。
上記環状スルトン誘導体としては、1,3−プロパンスルトンが好ましく、その添加量としては、非水電解液中0.5〜5質量%が好ましい。

Description
以下に示すようにして、正極の作製と非水電解液の調製を行い、それらと負極などを用いて非水電解液電池を作製した。
表1に示すように、1,3−プロパンスルトンの添加量を4.0質量%に変えた以外は、実施例1と同様に非水電解液電池を作製した。
表1に示すように、1,3−プロパンスルトンを添加しなかった以外は、実施例1と同様に非水電解液電池を作製した。
電池を120℃の環境下で350時間貯蔵した後、−40℃の環境下で2mAの電流値で放電させ、放電開始から5秒後のCCV(閉路電圧)を測定した。その結果を表2に示す。
電池を120℃の環境下で350時間貯蔵し、次いで20℃まで放冷させてから電池の厚さを測定し、あらかじめ貯蔵前に測定しておいた電池の厚さを差し引いた値を電池の膨れとした。その結果を表2に示す。
まず、高温での貯蔵前の電池について、1kΩの放電抵抗を接続して、20℃の環境下で終止電圧2.0Vまで放電させたときの放電容量を測定した。次いで、実施例1〜2および比較例1の電池であって、上記貯蔵前の放電容量の測定に使用したものとは別の電池を120℃で350時間貯蔵した後、20℃まで放冷させ、前記貯蔵前と同様の条件で放電を行って放電容量を測定し、その貯蔵後の放電容量の貯蔵前の放電容量に対する割合を容量保持率として求めた。その結果を表2に示す。
表3に示すように、プロピレンカーボネートとジエトキシエタンとの体積比1:1の混合溶媒にLiClO4 を0.5mol/l溶解させ、さらに1,3−プロパンスルトンを2質量%添加した非水電解液を用い、テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロアルコキシエチレン共重合体製のパッキングを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして非水電解液電池を作製した。なお、表3には、パッキングの材質についても示すが、スペース上の関係で、上記テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロアルコキシエチレン共重合体をPFAで示す。
表3に示すように、ジエトキシエタンに代えてジグライムを用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にして非水電解液電池を作製した。
表3に示すように、ポリプロピレン製のパッキングを用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にして非水電解液電池を作製した。なお、表3には、パッキングの材質についても示すが、スペース上の関係で、上記ポリプロピレンをPPで示す。
表3に示すように、1,3−プロパンスルトンを添加しなかった以外は、実施例3と同様にして非水電解液電池を作製した。
電池を120℃の環境下で200時間貯蔵した後、室温下で電池に200Ωの放電抵抗を接続して放電させ、放電開始から5秒後のCCV(閉路電圧)を測定した。その結果を表4に示す。
電池を120℃の環境下で200時間貯蔵し、次いで20℃まで放冷させてから電池の厚さを測定し、あらかじめ貯蔵前に測定しておいた電池の厚さを差し引いた値の電池の膨れとした。その結果を表4に示す。
まず、高温での貯蔵前の電池について、3.9Ωの放電抵抗を接続して、20℃の環境下で終止電圧2.0Vまで放電させたときの放電容量を測定した。次いで、同種の電池であって上記貯蔵前の放電容量の測定に使用したものとは別の電池を120℃で200時間貯蔵した後、20℃まで放冷させ、前記貯蔵前の場合と同様の条件で放電を行って放電容量を測定し、貯蔵前の放電容量に対する割合を容量保持率として求めた。その結果を表4に示す。

Claims (5)
- 二酸化マンガンを正極活物質とし、負極にリチウムまたはリチウム合金を用い、セパレータおよび非水電解液を用い、かつ耐熱樹脂製のパッキングまたはガラスハーメチックシールにより封口がなされてなる非水電解液電池であって、前記非水電解液の溶媒として炭酸エステルとエーテルとの混合溶媒を用い、かつ非水電解液に環状スルトン誘導体が添加されていることを特徴とする非水電解液電池。
- 非水電解液の溶媒として、炭酸プロピレンや炭酸エチレンなどの沸点が120℃以上の炭酸エステルとジエトキシエタンやジグライムなどの沸点が120℃以上のエーテルとの混合溶媒を用いた請求項1記載の非水電解液電池。
- 耐熱樹脂製のパッキングの融点が240℃を超える請求項1または2記載の非水電解液電池。
- 環状スルトン誘導体が1,3−プロパンスルトンまたは1,4−ブタンスルトンのうち少なくとも1種である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の非水電解液電池。
- 非水電解液に環状スルトン誘導体が0.5〜5質量%添加されている請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の非水電解液電池。
