Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の扁平形電池は、正極1と、負極2と、セパレータ3と、正極缶4とを含む扁平形電池であって、正極缶4の底面7の外周は円形に形成され、底面7の外面には外周が円形の凹部8が形成され、底面7の外周と凹部8の外周とは同心円を形成し、底面7の外周の直径をD1、凹部8の外周の直径をD2とすると、D2/D1が0.4≦D2/D1≦0.75であり、底面7の厚さをT、凹部8の高さをHとすると、T≦Hであることを特徴とする。

Description
(実施例1)
以下のようにして扁平形電池を作製した。先ず、正極活物質としての二酸化マンガンと、導電助剤としてのカーボンブラックと、バインダとしてのポリテトラフルオロエチレンとを準備し、これらを90:5:5の質量比率で混合して正極合剤とし、この正極合剤を加圧成形して正極を作製した。また、負極にはリチウム箔を用い、セパレータには微孔性ポリプロピレンフィルムとポリプロピレン不織布との積層体を用い、封口部材にはポリフェニレンサルファイド製の環状パッキングを用いて、図1及び図2に示す構造で直径20mmの扁平形電池とした。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を15mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.75とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を8mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.4とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を12mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.6とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の深さHを0.5mmに設定した以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の深さHを0.25mmに設定した以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
図4及び図5に示すように、正極缶4の底面に凹部を設けなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にして、扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を2mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.1とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を6mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.3とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を16mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.8とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の外周の直径D2を18mmに設定し、D2/D1を0.9とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の深さHを0.1mmに設定した以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。
凹部8の深さHを0.2mmに設定した以外は、実施例1と同様にして扁平形電池を作製した。

Claims (4)
- 正極と、負極と、セパレータと、電池要素収納容器とを含む扁平形電池であって、
前記電池要素収納容器の底面の外周は、円形に形成され、
前記底面の外面には、外周が円形の凹部が形成され、
前記底面の外周と、前記凹部の外周とは、同心円を形成し、
前記底面の外周の直径をD1、前記凹部の外周の直径をD2とすると、D2/D1が、0.4≦D2/D1≦0.75であり、
前記底面の厚さをT、前記凹部の高さをHとすると、T≦Hであることを特徴とする扁平形電池。 - 前記D2/D1が、0.5≦D2/D1≦0.6である請求項1に記載の扁平形電池。
- 前記正極が、正極活物質としてマンガン含有酸化物を含む請求項1又は2に記載の扁平形電池。
- 前記負極が、負極活物質としてリチウム又はリチウム合金を含む請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の扁平形電池。
