Abstract

"MATERIAL COMPOSTO E MEMBRANA COMPOSTA". A presente invenção se refere a um material composto ou membrana composta, consistindo de um ionómero e de um filosilicato funcionalizado opcionalmente inorgânico. O isómero pode ser (a) um polímero trocador de cátion; (b) um polímero trocador de anion; (c) um polímero contendo tanto grupos trocadores de anion como grupos trocadores de cátion na cadeia do polímero; (d) uma mistura consistindo de (a) e (b), em que a proporção da mistura pode variar de 100% de (a) para 100% de (b). A mistura pode ser reticulada ionicamente e ainda reticulada covalentemente. Os constituintes inorgânicos podem ser selecionados do grupo de filosilicatos e tctosilicatos. O uso de bentonitas e zeólitos é geralmente preferido, em especial de montmorilonita. A proporção da mistura isómero-bentonita varia de 99:1 a 30:70. A invenção também se refere à aplicação de materiais compostos/membranas compostas: como condutores de prótons em células de combustíveis de membranas (células de combustível de H~ 2~, células diretas de combustível de metanol, DMFC, sob temperaturas superiores a 10O<198>C; em métodos de separação de (eletro)membranas, tal como diálise, diálise de difusão, separação de gases, permeação-evaporação, permeação-extração e em microfiltação e ultrafiltração, particularmente devido às suas propriedades contra incrustação e como membranas catalíticas em reatores de membrana catalítica.
