Abstract
Description
すなわち、一般的なセンタピラーをサイドシルの中央に立設、接合した場合、サイドシルの中央の強度を高めることが課題となっていた。
同様に、フロントピラーを接合しているサイドシルの前部の強度を高めることが課題となっていた。
フロントボデー24は、車両12の正面25からアンダボデー23まで延びる左右のフロントサイドフレーム26を有する。
車体側部構造は、車室13の床の左右端に配置され車両12の前後方向(X軸方向)に延びるサイドシル15と、サイドシル15の前部27からルーフ22まで延びるフロントピラー16と、サイドシル15の中央部33からルーフ22まで延びるセンタピラー17と、を備える。
補強部材64は中央接合部56に配置され、補強部材65は前接合部57に配置されている。
補強部材64、65は、上下のビード47、48及び横ビード68の開口を閉鎖して閉断面を形成している。
なお、補強部材65は、サイドシル15の前接合部57よりも車両12の前方へ向け所望の長さLffだけ延長した前延長部72を有しているが、前延長部72を省くことも可能である。
言い換えると、センタピラー17は中空である。この中空は、補強部材64が無い状態ではサイドシル15のサイドシルアウタ37に設けた上ビード47に連通する。
センタピラー側壁部96の下部にセンタピラー第1接合端部101(図3)が形成されており、該センタピラー第1接合端部101は、補強部材64の縦壁補強部84を介在させてサイドシルアウタ37の縦壁部67に接合されている。
そして、アウタ部材106は、フロントピラー側壁部111、フロントピラー前壁部112およびフロントピラー後壁部113からなる。
フロントピラー第1・2・3接合端部116、117、118は、補強部材65の縦壁補強部84、上補強部77にそれぞれ接合し、縦壁補強部84、上補強部77を介在させてサイドシルアウタ37の縦壁部67、上壁部44にそれぞれ接合されている。
図3に示す通り、例えば、矢印Fのように荷重がサイドシル15に入力すると、荷重は補強部材64の上補強部77に矢印a6のように伝わるので、分散される。その結果、サイドシル15に伝わる荷重は小さくなり、サイドシル15の強度はより高まる。
第1仕切り壁133および第2仕切り壁134は、上下の辺、U字状の開口側の辺を直交する状態まで折り曲げて形成された上接合片136、下接合片137、横接合片138を有している。
まず、図7、図8に示しているように、バルクヘッド131を矢印b1で示すようにサイドシルアウタ37へ向ける。そして、図9に示すように、上ビード47と下ビード48の間にバルクヘッド131を嵌める。
溶接した後は、サイドシルアウタ37と、サイドシルインナ38とを溶接部で固定する。
実施例2の車体側部構造は、サイドシル15に荷重F2が加わると、荷重は補強部材64に伝わり、補強部材64が長手方向に延びる一方の端部143からサイドシルアウタ37を介してバルクヘッド131に伝わるので、荷重は分散される。その結果、サイドシル15に伝わる荷重はより小さくなり、サイドシル15の強度はより高まる。
その結果、嵌合凹部151の横接合重ね部138B以外の第1接合片154および第2接合片155は、サイドシルアウタ37の縦壁部67に接触している。
まず、図8に示した実施例2と同様にバルクヘッド131Bをサイドシルアウタ37内に入れる。
続いて、図10に示すように、上ビード47と下ビード48の間にバルクヘッド131Bを嵌める。その際、横接合片138の第1接合片154及び第2接合片155がサイドシルアウタ37の縦壁部67に当接するように、バルクヘッド131Bをサイドシルアウタ37に内に嵌める。
その後、サイドシルアウタ37に補強部材64およびサイドシルインナ38を溶接して固定する。
従って、サイドシルアウタ37にバルクヘッド131Bをセットするときのセット作業が容易になる。
バルクヘッド161の取付け要領は、実施例2と同様である。
なお、各ビード47、48、68の各底部53、54、91に接合重ね部163をスポット溶接の溶接部141で固定する。
その結果、縦壁部67に向いている接合部175のうち、嵌合凹部171の接合部175a以外の第1接合部176および第2接合部177は、縦壁部67に接触している。
なお、縦壁部67に第1接合部176および第2接合部177を溶接部141で固定する。
Claims (8)
- 車体側部構造であって、
車体の床の左右に配置され車体の前後方向に延びるサイドシルと、
該サイドシルの前部からルーフまで延びるフロントピラーと、
前記サイドシルの中央部から前記ルーフまで延びるセンタピラーと、
を備えており、
前記サイドシルは、サイドシルアウタとサイドシルインナからなり、該サイドシルアウタとサイドシルインナとで前記車体の前後方向に延びる閉断面を形成しており、
前記サイドシルアウタは、車外から車室に向かうにつれて上方に傾斜する上壁部と、車外から車室に向かうにつれて下方に傾斜する下壁部と、を備えており、前記上壁部と前記下壁部のうち少なくともいずれか一方の壁部に前記サイドシルの前端から後端まで延びる上下のビードを形成することで前記閉断面は多角形に形成され、
前記ビードは、前記閉断面の内方へ向けて窪むよう形成された凹部であり、該凹部を形成する側部の高さよりも、該側部に一体に形成された前記凹部の底部の幅が大きくなるよう形成されており、
前記センタピラーを接合している前記サイドシルの前記中央部の中央接合部と、前記フロントピラーを接合している前記サイドシルの前記前部の前接合部のうち少なくともいずれか一方に、凹状の前記上下のビードの開口を閉鎖して閉断面を形成する補強部材を備えていることを特徴とする車体側部構造。 - 前記サイドシルアウタは、前記上壁部および前記下壁部に連なり、前記車外側に位置する縦壁部に形成された横ビードを有することで、前記閉断面は多角形に形成され、
前記補強部材は、前記上下のビードの前記開口及び前記横ビードの開口を閉鎖して閉断面を形成している、請求項1記載の車体側部構造。 - 前記補強部材は、前記サイドシルの前記前接合部よりも前記車体の後方へ向けて所望の長さだけ延長している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体側部構造。
- 前記補強部材は、前記サイドシルの前記中央接合部よりも前記車体の前後方向のうち少なくとも一方へ向け所望の長さだけ延長している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体側部構造。
- 前記サイドシルは、該サイドシルの内部に該サイドシル内を仕切るバルクヘッドを備えており、前記バルクヘッドは、前記サイドシルアウタを介して前記補強部材に重なるよう配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体側部構造。
- 前記サイドシルは、該サイドシルの内部に該サイドシル内を仕切るバルクヘッドを備えており、
前記補強部材は、前記バルクヘッドと車幅方向でラップする部位まで延長している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体側部構造。 - 前記バルクヘッドは、前記サイドシルアウタとの間で閉断面を形成している、ことを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の車体側部構造。
- 前記バルクヘッドは、前記サイドシルアウタの縦壁部に形成された横ビードが嵌合する嵌合凹部を有しており、前記嵌合凹部の底部は、前記横ビードの底部に接触し、前記嵌合凹部以外の前記バルクヘッドの部位は、前記サイドシルアウタの縦壁部に接触している、ことを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の車体側部構造。
