Abstract

본 발명은 합성가스로부터 메탄올 합성용 촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 CuO, ZnO 및 Al2O3를 일정비로 함유한 Cu-Zn-Al계 산화물 또는 CuO, ZnO, Al2O3 및 ZrO2 일정비로 함유한 Cu-Zn-Al-Zr계 산화물과, 졸-겔법에 의해 제조된 세륨-지르코늄산화물 지지체로 구성되는 신규 촉매계로, 종래의 Cu-Zn-Al계 단독으로 사용된 메탄올 합성용 촉매와 비교하여 부산물의 생성이 억제되어 메탄올로의 수율이 향상되어, 메탄올로의 수율 증가에 따른 메탄올 정제 효율 및 카본전환 효율을 크게 향상시킬 수 있는 합성가스로부터 메탄올 합성용 촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
