DESCRIÇÃO "DISPOSITIVO DE INJEÇÃO"
CAMPO DA INVENÇÃO A presente invenção é relativa a um dispositivo de injeção do tipo que recebe uma seringa e inclui uma tampa sobre uma abertura dispensadora do dispositivo de injeção.
ANTECEDENTES DA INVENÇÃO
Os dispositivos de injeção em geral são mostrados na WO 95/35126 e na EP-A-0 516 473 e tendem a empregar uma mola impulsora e algum tipo de mecanismo de libertação que liberta a seringa da influência da mola impulsora quando o seu conteúdo é suposto ter sido expelido, para lhe permitir ser retraida por uma mola de retorno.
Estes dispositivos de injeção são frequentemente requeridos para trabalhar com seringas hipodérmicas seladas, as quais têm tipicamente uma tampa selada hermeticamente ou "cápsula" que cobre a agulha hipodérmica e mantém a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa. Naturalmente, é necessário manter a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa até ao ponto da administração, o que significa que para os dispositivos que são concebidos para serem descartáveis, a cápsula deve ser removida com a seringa dentro do dispositivo de injeção.
Em dispositivos de injeção já conhecidos, a ação requerida para remover a cápsula da seringa envolve puxar a cápsula para longe da seringa ou torcer a cápsula e, ao mesmo tempo, puxá-la para longe da seringa.
Se os dispositivos de injeção são utilizados por pacientes que sofrem de artrite reumatóide ou por pacientes idosos ou fracos, é difícil para os mesmos remover a 2 cápsula da seringa antes da sua utilização. Além disso, as cápsulas são pequenas e difíceis de apertar para todos os utilizadores, mas em particular para os utilizadores que têm a flexibilidade nas suas articulações diminuída ou destreza manual limitada. A partir do momento em que a cápsula da seringa pode ser posicionada dentro do recetáculo, pode existir também um acesso limitado à cápsula. 0 pedido co-pendente de patente n.° 0412051.5, do Reino Unido, descreve uma tampa para um dispositivo de injeção que conecta a cápsula da seringa, de modo que a remoção do elemento de fecho do recetáculo, do recetáculo, provoque a remoção da cápsula da seringa. A publicação de patente Europeia n.° 0389938 divulga uma seringa que tem caraterísticas evidentes de alterações que incluem um cilindro que tem uma câmara para reter o líquido, uma extremidade proximal aberta, e uma extremidade distai que tem uma passagem através da mesma em comunicação fluida com a câmara. Um protetor da agulha que tem um eixo longitudinal, uma extremidade distai e uma extremidade proximal aberta, acopla de forma deslizante a extremidade distai do cilindro que cobre a passagem. Um colar que tem uma parede lateral anelar, uma extremidade proximal aberta e uma extremidade distai que tem uma abertura através da mesma, é contíguo à extremidade distai do cilindro, com o protetor da agulha a projetar-se de forma distai através da abertura. São providenciados meios de fixação para prender ligeiramente um colar adjacente ao cilindro. Os meios de fixação são posicionados de forma a que a força aplicada a uma superfície secundária no colar possa desengatar os meios de fixação, permitindo que o colar se mova e que o protetor da agulha seja removido do cilindro. A patente n.° 6447480 dos Estados Unidos divulga um dispositivo de injeção que compreende um corpo de seringa, que delimita uma câmara que é concebida para ser cheia com 3 o líquido, e uma unidade para distribuir o líquido, compreendendo uma peça de extremidade para fechar a referida câmara, que é estendida por uma base e que suporta uma agulha de injeção que é protegida por uma tampa protetora. De acordo com a invenção, a unidade de distribuição compreende uma secção intermédia. A tampa protetora e esta secção intermédia têm perfis complementares sob a forma de um veio excêntrico, o que pode permitir a criação de deslocamento axial da unidade de distribuição, para a sua posição de injeção, durante a rotação da tampa protetora mencionada. A patente n.° 2414400, do Reino Unido, divulga um dispositivo de injeção que tem um recetáculo e meios de fecho do recetáculo. Os meios do recetáculo e de fecho do recetáculo são dispostos de forma a que aquando da rotação dos meios de fecho do recetáculo, estes sejam movidos axialmente para longe do recetáculo por meio da superfície do veio excêntrico e uma cápsula seja removida da seringa.
Em determinados tipos de seringa, por exemplo uma seringa do tipo Bunder ReadyJect™, a cápsula tem que ser torcida para quebrar uma união frágil antes de poder ser retirada. Um utilizador do dispositivo de injeção inexperiente pode tentar retirar a tampa do dispositivo de injeção sem primeiro o torcer. Isto pode provocar que a cápsula empurre para fora a tampa do dispositivo de injeção e permaneça na seringa ou que os componentes da seringa se separem. Em ambas as situações, o utilizador não poderá utilizar o dispositivo de injeção para administrar o medicamento com sucesso.
RESUMO DA INVENÇÃO
Os dispositivos de injeção da presente invenção são concebidos para lidar com estes problemas.
Em virtude da invenção antecedente e de acordo com a 4 atual, é disponibilizado um dispositivo de injeção que compreende: um recetáculo adaptado para receber uma seringa que tem uma cânula de saída e uma cápsula que cobre a sua cânula de saída, tendo o recetáculo um eixo longitudinal e incluindo uma primeira guia; e um elemento de fecho do recetáculo compreendendo uma segunda guia; onde a primeira guia e a segunda guia são dispostas de forma a que a rotação do elemento de fecho do recetáculo relativamente ao recetáculo faça com que o elemento de fecho do recetáculo em primeiro lugar rode relativamente ao recetáculo e depois se afaste do mesmo, onde o elemento de fecho do recetáculo compreende ainda meios para se conectar a cápsula da seringa, de forma a que a remoção do elemento de fecho do recetáculo, do recetáculo, provoque a remoção da cápsula da seringa. A primeira ou a segunda guia compreende um entalhe e a outra compreende uma saliência para comunicar com o entalhe. 0 entalhe tem uma primeira secção que funciona numa direção perpendicular a um primeiro eixo do recetáculo e uma segunda secção que roda para longe da primeira secção, na direção do primeiro eixo.
Depois, a cápsula é em primeiro lugar torcida para quebrar uma união frágil que a prende à seringa antes de ser retirada. Desta forma, um utilizador do dispositivo de injeção inexperiente não pode retirar a tampa do dispositivo de injeção sem em primeiro lugar o torcer.
Preferencialmente, a saliência é moldada no mesmo material que os meios de fecho do recetáculo.
Numa incorporação da invenção, o recetáculo ou o elemento de fecho do recetáculo tem um segundo entalhe e o outro tem uma segunda saliência para comunicar com o segundo entalhe. 5 0 dispositivo de injeção pode compreender ainda um mecanismo de aperto externo com o qual um utilizador pode prender o elemento de fecho do recetáculo.
Felizmente, os meios de conexão podem compreender uma pluralidade de ranhuras.
Preferencialmente, as ranhuras são dispostas em torno do diâmetro interno de um cilindro montado nos meios de fecho do recetáculo.
As ranhuras podem ser colocadas no cilindro de modo a que o ânqulo formado entre cada ranhura e um raio do cilindro é inferior a 90 graus. Depois de conectar a cápsula da seringa ao elemento de fecho do recetáculo e de rodar este elemento, as ranhuras rodam a cápsula da seringa relativamente à cânula de saída.
BREVE DESCRIÇÃO DOS DESENHOS A invenção será descrita através de exemplos, com referência aos desenhos associados, em que: A figura 1 mostra uma vista em perspetiva de um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com a presente invenção, com o elemento de fecho do recetáculo removido; A figura 2 mostra uma vista de cima do dispositivo de injeção da figura 1; A figura 3 mostra uma vista lateral do dispositivo de injeção da figura 1; A figura 4 mostra uma vista de cima do dispositivo de injeção das figuras 1 a 3, com o elemento de fecho do recetáculo colocado; A figura 5 mostra uma vista em perspetiva do dispositivo de injeção da figura 4; A figura 6 mostra uma vista em perspetiva de um elemento de fecho do recetáculo para utilização num dispositivo de injeção de acordo com uma incorporação da presente invenção; A figura 7 mostra o elemento de fecho do recetáculo da figura 7 quando acoplada com uma cápsula da seringa de uma 6 seringa utilizada com um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com uma incorporação da presente invenção; A figura 8 mostra uma vista lateral de uma seringa utilizada no dispositivo de injeção de acordo com uma incorporação da presente invenção; e A figura 9 mostra uma vista lateral da seringa da figura 8 com uma cápsula da seringa acoplada com a mesma.
DESCRIÇÃO DETALHADA DOS DESENHOS
As Figuras 1 a 5 e 9 mostram um dispositivo de injeção 110 de acordo com uma primeira incorporação da presente invenção. O dispositivo de injeção 110 tem um recetáculo do dispositivo de injeção 112. O dispositivo de injeção 110 tem um eixo longitudinal 101. O recetáculo 112 contém uma seringa hipodérmica 114 do tipo convencional, incluindo um corpo de seringa 116 que define um reservatório e que termina numa extremidade numa agulha hipodérmica 118. A seringa 114 tem uma tampa selada hermeticamente ou uma cápsula 117 que cobre a agulha hipodérmica 118 e mantém a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa. A cápsula 117 é geralmente formado por uma borracha macia ou por um material plástico. A cápsula 117 compreende uma pluralidade de faces lisas 165 formadas na sua superfície exterior sobre a sua circunferência.
Embora a seringa ilustrada seja do tipo hipodérmico, não tem necessariamente de ser assim. As seringas transcutâneas ou lancetas e as subcutâneas, podem também ser utilizadas com o dispositivo de injeção da presente invenção. O dispositivo de injeção é ainda fornecido com uma tampa 130. Como pode ser melhor visualizado nas figuras 1 a 3 e 6, a tampa é retida no recetáculo 112 por um entalhe 113 no recetáculo 112, e uma indentação correspondente 131 7 no interior da tampa 130.
Numa primeira secção 190a, o entalhe 113 é formado em torno do recetáculo 112 tangencialmente ao eixo longitudinal 101 do recetáculo 112. Numa segunda secção 190b, o entalhe 113 é formado com duas superfícies excêntricas opostas 150a e 150b que são curvadas de forma a que o entalhe seja dirigido para fora da sua direção tangencial sobre o eixo longitudinal para uma direção ao longo do eixo longitudinal 101 do recetáculo 112.
Como pode ser visualizado nas figuras 6 e 7, o interior da tampa 130 é disponibilizado com uma pluralidade de ranhuras 160. Estas ranhuras 160 são dispostas em torno de um diâmetro interno de um cilindro 161 montado dentro da tampa 130. As ranhuras 160 são colocadas no cilindro de modo a que o ângulo formado entre cada ranhura e um raio R do cilindro 161 é inferior a 90 graus. As ranhuras 160 são dimensionadas de modo a que flexionem resilientemente numa direção ao longo do raio R do cilindro. O exterior da tampa 130 é provido com um par de zonas de aperto 170. Estas zonas de aperto 170 disponibilizam um elemento através do qual um utilizador pode prender a tampa 130.
Como pode ser visualizado na figura 6, o interior da tampa 130 pode ser provido de uma superfície de sustentação 180 que suporte a extremidade da cápsula 117.
Durante o fabrico do dispositivo de injeção 110, a seringa 114 e a cápsula 117 são introduzidos no recetáculo 112 como uma única peça. A tampa 130 é colocada no recetáculo de modo que a cápsula 117 é forçada a entrar no espaço do cilindro 161 entre as ranhuras 160 que flexionam para permitir a inserção da tampa 130 na cápsula 117. Em consequência da flexão das ranhuras 160, a tampa 130 prende a cápsula 117 firmemente porque cada ranhura é forçada de encontro a uma das superfícies planas 165 da cápsula 117. Consequentemente é produzido um aperto muito firme na cápsula 117.
Quando o dispositivo de injeção 110 vai ser utilizado, o utilizador prende o recetáculo 112 com uma mão, e prende a tampa 130 com a outra mão utilizando as zonas de aperto 170. O utilizador roda então a tampa 130. Ao rodar esta tampa, a projeção 131 da tampa 130 move-se no entalhe 113 do recetáculo 112, rodando dessa forma a cápsula 117 relativamente à seringa 116. Este movimento rotativo quebra a união frágil entre a cápsula 117 e a seringa 114 antes de ocorrer qualquer movimento axial da cápsula 117 relativamente à seringa 116. Isto deve-se ao facto do entalhe ser formado, na sua primeira secção 190a, circunferencialmente no recetáculo 112 unicamente numa direção que é tangencial ao eixo longitudinal 101 do recetáculo 112. Depois de a união frágil quebrar, a cápsula 117 fica livre para se mover axialmente. Numa outra rotação, a projeção 131 alcança as superfícies excêntricas 150a e 150b do entalhe 113 na sua segunda secção 190b, permitindo assim que a tampa 130 e a cápsula 117 conectada a esta se movam numa direção ao longo do eixo longitudinal 101 do recetáculo 112, removendo dessa forma a cápsula 117 da seringa. A cápsula 117 é mantida imóvel dentro da tampa 130 pelas ranhuras 160 que são forçadas de encontro às superfícies planas 165 da cápsula 117, prendendo-as. A superfície de sustentação 180 ajuda a impedir que a cápsula 117 seja puxada para fora da seringa 114 num determinado ângulo, mantendo o alinhamento axial da cápsula 117 dentro da tampa 130. A presente invenção fornece um meio simples e eficaz de resolver os problemas dos dispositivos do estado da técnica anterior.
Em particular, quando utilizada com o tipo de seringa em que a cápsula tem que ser torcida para quebrar uma união frágil antes de poder ser retirada, a presente invenção 9 impede que se retire a tampa do dispositivo de injeção sem primeiramente se torcer. Desta forma, a cápsula não é retirada da tampa do dispositivo de injeção, não permanece na seringa e não faz com que os componentes da seringa se separem.
Terá de ser entendico, obviamente, que a presente invenção foi descrita acima puramente a titulo de exemplo e que podem ser feitas modificações de detalhes dentro do âmbito da invenção. 10

Um dispositivo de injeção (110) que compreende: um recetáculo (112) adaptado para receber uma seringa (114) que tem uma cânula de saída (118) e uma cápsula (117) que cobre a sua cânula de saída, tendo o recetáculo um eixo longitudinal (101) e compreendendo uma primeira guia; e um elemento de fecho do recetáculo (130) compreendendo uma segunda guia; onde a primeira guia e a segunda guia são dispostas de forma a que a rotação do elemento de fecho do recetáculo relativamente ao recetáculo faça com que o elemento de fecho deste rode em primeiro lugar relativamente ao recetáculo e depois se afaste do mesmo, onde o elemento de fecho do recetáculo compreende ainda meios para se conectar à cápsula da seringa, de forma a que a remoção do elemento de fecho do recetáculo, do recetáculo, provoque a remoção da cápsula da seringa, caraterizado pelo facto de que a primeira ou a segunda guia compreende um entalhe (113) e a outra compreende uma saliência (131) para comunicar com o entalhe e que o entalhe tem uma primeira secção (190a) que funciona numa direção perpendicular ao primeiro eixo, e uma segunda secção (190b) que roda para longe da primeira secção, na direção do primeiro eixo.
2. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com a reivindicação 1, onde a saliência é moldada no mesmo material que os meios de fecho do recetáculo.
3. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com a reivindicação 1 ou com a reivindicação 2, onde o recetáculo ou o elemento de fecho do recetáculo tem um segundo entalhe e o outro tem uma segunda saliência para comunicar com o segundo entalhe. 2
4. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, compreendendo ainda um mecanismo externo de aperto (170) com o qual um utilizador pode prender o elemento de fecho do recetáculo.
5. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes onde os meios para conectar compreendem uma pluralidade de ranhuras (160).
6. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com a reivindicação 5, onde é colocada uma pluralidade de ranhuras em torno do diâmetro interno de um cilindro (161) montado nos meios de fecho do recetáculo.
7. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com a reivindicação 6, onde as ranhuras são colocadas no cilindro de modo a que o ângulo formado entre cada ranhura e um raio do cilindro é inferior a 90 graus.
8. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 5 a 7, onde, depois de conectar a cápsula da seringa ao elemento de fecho do recetáculo e de rodar o elemento de fecho do recetáculo, as ranhuras rodam a cápsula da seringa relativamente à cânula de saida.
9. Um dispositivo de injeção de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, onde os meios de conexão são moldados no mesmo material que os meios de fecho do recetáculo.
