Abstract

본 발명에 따르면, 둘 이상의 내화 충들로 적어도 일부가 피복되고, 내화 충들 중 하나는 미세한 결정립의-Al2O3층으로서 절삭 에지 선을 따르는 상부층이고, 다른 하나는 TiCxNyOz층 또는 ZrCxNy층으로서 클리어런스 면 상의 상부 층이다. 피복된 공구는, 특히, 저탄소강 및 스테인레스 강의 가공을 위해 사용시에, 우수한 플랭크 및 크레이터 마모 및 높은 플레이킹 저항선을 보인다. 사용된 절삭 에지들은 육안으로 용이하게 확인할 수 있다.

Claims (9)

  1. 절삭 에지들을 형성하기 위해 상부면, 대향 하부면, 및 상기 상부면과 하부면을 가로지르는 하나 이상의 클리어런스 면을 갖고 있는 대체로 다각형 또는 둥근형태의 본체를 구비하고, 둘 이상의 내화 충들로 적어도 일부가 피복되고, 내화층들 중 하나는 미세한 결정립의-Al2O3층이고, 다른 하나는 TiCxNyOz층 또는 ZrCxNy층인, 초경합금, 티타늄계 질화탄소 또는 세라믹으로 만들어진 절삭공구 삽입체에 있어서, 상기 Al2O3층은 절삭 에지 선을 따르는 상부층이고, 상기 TiCxNyOz층 또는 ZrCxNy층은 클리어런스 면 상의 상부 층인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기-Al2O3층은 (012)방향 또는 (014)방향의 텍스튜어(texture)를 갖고, 텍스튜어계수 TC(Texture Coefficient)는 TC(hk1) @ 로서 정의될 수 있고,
    상기 식에서, I(hk1)=(hk1)반사의 측정된 세기 I0=ASTM표준 분말 패턴 회절 데이타의 표준 세기 n=계산에 사용된 반사 수, 사용된(hk1) 반사들은(012), (104), (110), (113), (024), (116)이고, (012)결정면들 세트의 TC는 1.3보다 크고, 양호하게는 1.5보다 크고, (104)결정면들 세트의 TC는 1.5 보다 크고, 양호하게는 2.5보다 크고, 가장 양호하게는 3.0보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체.
  3. 상기 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 클리어런스 면 상의 상부 층은 TiN층, ZrN층, TiCN층, TiC층인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체.
  4. 상기 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, Al2O3층의 두께는 2 내지 12㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체.
  5. 초경합금, 티타늄계 질화탄소 또는 세라믹으로 만들어진 절삭 에지들을 형성하기 위해 상부면, 대향 하부면, 및 상기 상부면과 하부면을 가로지르는 하나 이상의 클리어런스 면을 갖고 있는 대체로 다각형 또는 둥근 형태의 본체를 구비하고, 피복시에 둘 이상의 내화 층들로 적어도 일부가 피복되고, 내화층들 중 최외곽 다음층은 미세한 결정립의-Al2O3층이고 최외곽층은 MeCxNyOz층이고, 여기서 Me는 주기율표 IVB, VB, VIB족들의 금속들로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 금속인 절삭 공구 삽입체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 상부 MeCxNyOz층은 적어도 에지 선을 따라 제거되고, 클리어런스 면에서는 거의 손대지 않고 남겨지는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체 제조 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 상부 층은 예컨대, SiC를 함유하는 브러쉬에 의해 브러싱함으로써 또는 예컨대, Al2O3-그리트에 의해 블라스팅 함으로써 제거되는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체 제조 방법.
  7. 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기-Al2O3층은 (012)방향 또는 (104)방향의 텍스튜어를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체 제조 방법.
  8. 제5항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, MeCxNyOz층은 TiN, ZrN, TiCN 또는 TiC를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체 제조 방법.
  9. 제5항 내지 제8항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 Al2O3층의 두께는 2 내지 12㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구 삽입체 제조 방법.
