Abstract
Description
Claims (25)
- 1.計量した流体を噴霧スプレーとして供給する装置において、a.計量した液 体に所定量のエネルギを加えて、計量した液体に所定の圧力増大をもたらす加圧 手段と、 b.加圧された流体を霧化する霧化手段とを有していることを特徴とする装置。
- 2.前記流体の量を計量する計量手段を有していることを特徴とする請求の範囲 第1項に記載の装置。
- 3.a.圧力チャンバを有しており、該圧力チャンバには、これに流体を供給す る入口と、圧力チャンバから加圧流体を受け入れる出口とが設けられており、b .前記加圧流体を霧化すべく前記出口に又はこれに隣接して設けられた霧化手段 と、 c.前記圧力チャンバ内の流体に少なくとも所定の圧力増大をもたらすためのパ ルスを発生するパルス発生手段を備えた加圧手段と、d.前記パルスが加えられ たときに作動して前記圧力チャンバの体積を変化させ、該圧力チャンバ内の圧力 を増大させるインターフェース手段とを有していることを特徴とする請求の範囲 第1項又は第2項に記載の装置。
- 4.前記圧力チャンバと、前記入口と、前記出口との間の流体の流れを制御する 手段を有していることを特徴とする請求の範囲第3項に記載の装置。
- 5.前記圧力チャンバカ{シリンダを備えていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第 3項又は第4項に記載の装置。
- 6.前記インターフェース手段がピストンを備えていることを特徴とする請求の 範囲第3項〜第5項のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 7.前記加圧手段が、エネルギ貯蔵手段と、該エネルギ貯蔵手段からエネルギを 解放して、大きな圧力の少なくとも1つのパルスを発生させる解放手段とを備え ていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項〜第6項のいずれか1項に記載の装置 。
- 8.前記エネルギ貯蔵手段に負荷する負荷手段と、前記エネルギ貯蔵手段を負荷 状態に保持する保持手段と、該保持手段を解放して前記エネルギ貯蔵手段からエ ネルギを放出させる解放手段とを有していることを特徴とする請求の範囲第7項 に記載の装置。
- 9.流体を小滴のスプレーとして特定部位に分配する装置において、a.分配す べき流体の所定量を受け入れる手段と、b.該流体受入れ手段と連通していて、 流体を小滴に形成できる粉砕手段と、c.装置のユーザにより作動されるエネル ギ貯蔵手段であって、前記流体受入れ手段内の流体に所定量のエネルギを伝達し て、前記流体に所定の圧力増大の1つ以上のパルスをもたらすエネルギ貯蔵手段 と、d.前記貯蔵エネルギを解放して前記流体の圧力を増大させ、前記粉砕手段 を通して前記所定量の流体を排出し、前記流体の小滴のスプレーを形成するアク チュエータ手段とを有していることを特徴とする装置。
- 10.前記エネルギ貯蔵手段がばねを備えていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第 7項〜第9項のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 11.分配すべき流体の供給源を有していることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項 〜第10項のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 12.前記流体供給源が薬剤を収容しているリザーバであることを特徴とする請 求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。
- 13.前記霧化手段が、100マイクロメートル以下の直径を有する醇化ノズル オリフィスからなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項〜第12項のいずれか1 項に記載の装置。
- 14.前記加圧手段が、計量された流体の絶対圧力を50バール以上に上昇させ るように構成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項〜第13項のいずれ か1項に記載の装置。
- 15.前記霧化手段又は粉砕手段が、本体内又は本体上に取り付けられた出口オ リフィスからなり、前記装置が、前記本体に対して移動できる部材であって前記 霧化手段又は粉砕手段の作動を開始させる部材を更に有しており、該部材が、そ の移動によって前記オリフィスの移動を生じさせることがないように構成されて いることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項〜第14項のいずれか1項に記載の装置 。
- 16.前記霧化手段又は粉砕手段の上流側の流体から固形物を分離するための1 つ以上の分離手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項〜第15 項のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 17.前記分離手段がフィルタメッシュであることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1 6項に記載の装置。
- 18.添付図面の第1図〜第8図のいずれか1つに関連して説明したものと実質 的に同じであることを特徴とする装置。
- 19.計量した流体を霧化スプレーとして供給する方法において、計量した液体 に所定量のエネルギを加えて、計量した液体に所定の圧力増大をもたらす工程と 、加圧された流体を霧化手段に通して流体を霧化する工程とを有していることを 特徴とする方法。
- 20.前記流体が薬剤であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第19項に記載の方法 。
- 21.前記流体が、請求の範囲第1項〜第18項のいずれか1項に記載の装置に より加圧され且つ霧化されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第19項又は第20項 に記載の方法。
- 22.前記流体が、100マイクロメートル以下の平均粒径をもつ小滴に霧化さ れることを特徴とする請求の範囲第19項〜第21項のいずれか1項に記載の方 法。
- 23.前記流体が、1〜12マイクロメートル以下の平均粒径をもつ小滴に霧化 されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第22項に記載の方法。
- 24.計量された流体を、添付図面の第1図〜第8図のいずれか1つに関連して 説明したものと実質的に同じ霧化スプレーとして供給することを特徴とする方法 。
- 25.前記流体がユーザの肺内に投与すべき薬剤を含有しており、前記方法が、 10マイクロメートル以下の平均粒径をもつ小滴のスプレーとしてユーザの口内 に薬剤を分配すべく実施されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第19項〜第24項 のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
